1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Obitsu General Discussion - Part Three (60cm, 55cm, 50cm and 47cm)

Oct 14, 2016

    1. @Cydril Azone collaborated with popular Japanese face-up artists to create Iris Collect one-off lottery models. Her make-up is by MitsuRoma and outfit from Mint Star. :D Hope this helps!!

    2. I hope somebody can help me with some pictures.

Do you know if the Obitsu regular 50cm legs would fit on the Angel Philia H torso?

Thank you in advance for the help. @K-2! tagging him because I know he is the expert in this matter :)

    3. Per Doll Dreaming, it's going to depend upon which year/series you have. The original VMF50 dolls would most likely be okay - however, the most current ones would not fit, because they are based on the Obitsu 48cm internal armature, and I can promise you from personal experience that 48 cm shins are 100% different from 50 cm shins. In fact, the shins are one of the very few parts of Obitsu bodies that are not compatible between 48 and 50 cm armatures.

    4. Thank you for the info but I want to use the whole legs with the torso to make her look taller. So I want to know if the legs would not look to think on the AP H torso :)

    5. I mean, it's the same Obitsu armature. If you're asking will it work? Sure. The connectors will fit.

If you're asking how it will look - can't help you there, sorry.

Personally, I love those curvy thighs. I actually want just the bottom torso and the AP legs for my Obitsu doll. So, funnily enough, we have the exact opposite issue... It's a shame we aren't living close to each other. We could just swap out parts and see what looks good.

    6. I have 5 Angel Philias. I love the curves too but I wanted to save myself some money (I’m cheap LOL). God willing I will buying a second hand 50cm Obitsu body and I wanted to upgrade the bust and torso for an Angel Philia H option parts. I wanted to save on buying thighs LOL. I end up ordering the bust, torso and thighs after all. My friend gave me an obitsu 50-05 head so I think she will look more better with an AP body that an obitsu, but I just wanted her to be taller than my other AP girls. But thank you so much for the help :)

This is my collection at the beginning of the year (I added a few more dolls since then) you can see my five AP girls there and I agree with you the thighs are beautiful:)

    7. @MrFjmg2003 - aren't their arms sculpted too? I seen to recall seeing arm muscle in pictures. Your collection is wonderful!

I love the AP body - just never been a huge fan of the face sculpts (although I saw a faceup and a lip piercing, and I just loved the way it looked). In a perfect world, I would love to get an AP body and a Visuadoll head.

    8. Some are. They have muscle option parts. But the arms of my AP girls look like the regular Obitsu arms :)

    9. My new girl. She is a Obitsu 50-05 head aka Yurisa. Her face up reminds me of the 80s so I named her Heather (Like the movie Heather with Winona Ryder LOL)

    10. @MrFjmg2003 - definitely see where you're getting the Heathers vibes. She looks great!

So I priced out just the lower torso, thighs, and heel feet for an AP doll (that I could put on a 48cm Obitsu body), and the grand total was... $140 USD (before taxes or shipping).

So - the real question is - should I just save up and get an AP doll? And then also buy a different bust? Or pay almost the same amount for a couple parts as I would for a 48cm Obitsu body (about $190 USD)?

Think I just answered my own question...

    11. Where are you ordering the parts from? That price doesn’t seem so bad. I order from faithZ and I pay $230 usd including EMS shipping for a bust, torso, and thighs. The only good thing is that my friend sold me her Obitsu 50cm body for $100 plus shipping that’s the only reason I decided to get the AP parts. If I add all together is cheaper than the 3 AP bodies I bought on Mandarake and what I paid for my full AP girls :p

    12. So the cost of the AP parts was from FaithZ. The Obitsu body is from Parabox - who is hands down my absolute favorite source for all things vinyl (and wigs, and clothes, and eyes, and...).

    13. You can buy a lot of the sold out AP parts on FaithZ new from Japan still, busts are about 5500 yen, so $45 usd or so. Cheaper than what Faithz offer them for. But you'd have to get a proxy or package forwarding service. If you want to go about just getting a Obitsu body and swapping parts out I'd just pick parts up 2nd hand if you want to be very thrifty. I got Busts, Stomachs, Thighs for like $25 ea.

    14. @Zaada & @MrFjmg2003 - any chance you could help me out? I snagged an F lower torso, but all the FB thighs were sold out in the color I need ("whitey"). Would thighs from another model work? Say, the C thighs? They seem to have the same measurements.

    15. It really is a sort of mix and match game, I have a bag of spare parts for when I build up a new girl or swap parts from my other girl but they don't all work together.

I took a picture (sorry about the night quality, It's almost 10pm where I am haha)

I don't know the names of the pieces I've got, They came with the girl when I bought her. But Some mix and match just fine and others just don't match at all. Like the last torso (H-2 I think..), the part where the thighs go are cut so high up but where they connect is at the bottom where i placed the thigh. Techincally it works, but it looks bad. As for lower torsos connecting to busts sometimes they flat out just don't work and the body will look disfigured if you bend them in poses (this happened to me when i tried to pair two together.)

So I'd definitely aim to buy the same letters but as far as swapping F thighs for another type, I really couldn't say exactly what would look the best because it might not connect flush. Hopefully someone on here has F and C parts to try out for you!

    18. @Zaada - thanks for the picture and the info. That's pretty much what I was afraid of, and I didn't even think to look at the bottom of the torso for the leg cutouts.

    19. Thank you :)

Heather got her body. I got her Obitsu body yesterday and the angelphilia parts today. It took me a while to,put her together but finally she is complete :)

    20. I am looking to purchase an Angelphilia, and was wondering will pre-orders ever happen again or are there better chances at buying secondhand? I look on Faithz, but was wondering if there is another place I should look for the dolls?
