1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Obitsu General Discussion - Part Three (60cm, 55cm, 50cm and 47cm)

    1. Thanks so much! :D
Here are the pictures I just took of the break. I'm so mad at myself lol

    2. Excellent. I'll do a write up in the next day or so.
Don't be too hard on yourself. I've been working with Obitsus for almost 10 years and about 50 bodies and I've broken more parts than I care to admit. Fortunately the parts are all individually replaceable.

    3. Yay thank you! I'm looking forward to it :)

It's very reassuring to know that all the individual parts are easily replaceable. That's part of what drew me into Obitsus for my first "BJD"

I definitely didn't think the leg joints would be so tight and stiff and I should have been more careful with them. But now I know for the future! :p

    4. A little hint you may find useful - if you feel the knee (or elbow) joint is too tight to move, you can open up the ball cover and loosen a screw inside the joint.

    5. Thanks for that tip! I will definitely do that!

    6. Knee replacement tutorial is here:
Dollieh Sanctuary • View topic - 60cm Obitsu Knee Joint Replacement

Please excuse the condition of the retired example body. It is almost 10 years old with 10 years’ worth of staining. The legs have been modified (shortened), which is the reason for the weird seams in the vinyl above the ankle and just below the top of the thigh.

If you have any questions/problems don't hesitate to PM me.
      Good luck!

    7. Ahhh thank you so much! This is going to be my lifesaver in a couple days when I get Michiko's new knee. ^_^

Also, there really aren't many similar tutorials out there for the 60cm body so this will probably be a super helpful resource to Obitsu owners in general!

      You rock!!

I recently got new eyes for my boy (Dollcedoll Iris head on the 55cm body) and I love how he looks now!

    9. I’m excited! My 50cm obitsu is arriving on Tuesday. I hope I’ll like the default head. I haven’t seen really any pictures of the finished head.

    10. @mlefever Congrats! I currently have the 50cm default head on my 47cm body - I'm eventually going to wipe her face up because it was just a quick first attempt with prismacolors.

What is the default 50cm Obitsu head called? I thought it was Mizuki, or maybe Miyuki (but that could have been a typo on my part)... but then I saw someone list it as some other M name.

All I need is 4 more neck pieces and all but one of my floating heads will finally have a body (to share). Your modify neck piece tutorial, K-2!, has been a lifesaver!

    11. The stock head on the 50cm body is the 50-01, which was used on their first 50cm fullset Mizuki and later Mikaduki.

The original Mikaduki (in white skin) is on the right dressed in black and Mikaduki 2 is on the left dressed in white. Mikaduki 2 came in the ultra rare Super White skin color.

    12. *chuckles* So it certainly was a typo on my part. Thanks for that clarification!

So I miscounted, all I need is 3 neck pieces for the floating heads that fit my current bodies (maybe one day I'll get a 65cm). Is there any other place to buy neck pieces other than Parabox? $17 for shipping such small items is kinda steep - doable but I'd rather not...I've got a few wigs to get too!

    13. I recently decided to completely re vamp my 47cm girl. I got her new eyes, a new wig, and a new outfit. I’m just waiting for all that to arrive. I’m excited to have my cute anime girl finally complete.

    14. @kurogane Exciting and a great start for the new year!

    15. @Azael thanks! I hope you can find a neck connector that has a cheaper shipping option. I hate having to pay more in shipping than the item costs. Once I bought a pair of Obitsu 50cm pants from Parabox (only place I could find a pair in stock) and the shipping was $25 - same cost as the pants. The pants are awesome, but still, the shipping cost was awful, lol.

    16. @kurogane Ouch yeah that's crazy! I know international shipping isn't cheap but goodness. And thanks!

    17. Nice pictures guys. I made my mind up and l am getting back into the obitsus. I love the 40/45 body's. I also am going to start making resin eyes as well.

    18. and that's why I really try not to buy just one item when ordering from an Asian company.

    19. Hello! It's been a while since I've lurked about in the threads here, but I had some questions and was hoping K-2 might know the answer!

I had Sousuke in a sitting pose on my desk, legs bent at the 90 degrees, and a friend clumsily knocked him over. He does triple-front-flips off my desk all the time so I didn't think much of it, but I tried to straighten his legs out to stand up today and felt the knee wasn't bending. I yanked his pants off to take a look at his knees and found them like this. I guess he landed on his legs when he hit the floor.

I have a somewhat similar issue with my 60cm girl's elbows, though it doesn't impede the rotation of her elbow much like poor Sousuke's knees:

I don't know if it's quite broken or just sort of dislocated. Either way, I was a bit reluctant to try and shove the thing back into the slot since I'm not sure exactly how it works, or if that'd just break it or something, and wanted to ask for some input first!
