Oh no! I did what I said I wouldn't!

Buy a tiny. I'm all for SD's. SD is my size. But last time at Abunai, I put a tiny of a friend of mine in the arms of my girl and they looked so incredibly great together. Her character's pregnant anyway, so why not get a tiny

 

lol, I had plans man. My first doll was gonna be a KDF Bory, all in one piece, with eyes and faceup and a wig already, and directly from the company.
About halfway into saving I saw my favorite mod artist selling a head on deviantART.
Within the next 30 minutes I had sent the money and she had sent the head! XD
So yeah, instead of a doll that was ready to play with straight out of the box and fresh from the company, I ended up with a head I bought rather clumsily over deviantART PMs, that had nothing but a pair of eyes

 

Oh YES! I did what I said I wouldn't!, "YES" because I am deeply happy I did so no regrets about it, when...
- The only one BJD I was going to own became a different character that the one I firstly thought. Since she did, before her arrival, that meant achieving the other members of the pirates crew she belongs to.
- I fell for a couple of own creation characters smaller than my fave BJD size, large one. That is how I ended up owning also two middle size BJD.
- I got a tan BJD. Although I said I would not because I thought I would not have the chance to get her that finally I did had.
- I broke the line I was following of buying all my BJD from a same company to get a same style of facial shapes.
- By the features of the character, I got a white skin BJD when in the past I said I would never do such a thing.
- I bought a Senior Delf to get his heads for one of the characters I wanted. I was so sure I would never have one until I did.
- I found out a character I wanted in a Dollmore BJD. Before that, getting a BJD from that company, because of the facial features of their BJD, was always out of my plans.
And there are still many more.

 

lol yeah, I kinda planned on only getting one, a MiniFee Soo Dark Elf, but then I though... well... if I were to get her a boyfriend..... so I thought ok I'll only have 2. Lo and behold, I bought a 5StarDoll cause she was just too darn cute, and at a good price! T_T curse you sis for getting me into this hobby. I'm also finding that I am willing to spend waaay more money on stuff for my dolls than I normally would ever spend on myself!

I'm getting my second doll so soon after ordering my first .. she's secondhand, and she's a sleepy eyed sculpt,
and I wasn't sure I'd ever want a secondhand doll or a sleepy eyed doll but here we are, a two-in-one deal xD

It was love at first sight, sigh @___________@

 

So far the only thing I've done that I originally said I wouldn't is sell my first doll, and in retrospect I'm still extremely happy that I chose to.

 

for my second doll, i was saving for a crobi lance...only to find myself buying a sdf bliss from doa instead. i'm still glad i did though, cos i really love him and his faceup

 

The more and more I research the more and more I want XD. I was in the same predicament a few days ago so don't feel bad XD! I was on my way on buying a Clovera from dollzone but soon got marketplace access and found a limited Volks Bianka instead that is UV protected and I couldn't pass it up! X_X I was planning on getting a Volks Charlotte later on once I had more money. But now I might be considering on getting a Volks msd or a Volks Rose so they can be with my baby ^_^. So don't worry love! I think it happens to all of us! XP

 

Guilty of posting on the 10th page~ this hobby just makes you go back on your word. xD
-I said I wouldn't order my second doll until the newyear. [Hes now a Christmas gift.]
-I said I wouldn't buy a none fullset doll for my second or put him on lay away. [Lay away Mint on Card in stock boy, none fullset]
-I said I wouldn't start saving until I bought a new laptop [Currently saving for a DoD Lahoo.]
I'm totally failing at this.

 

I said I was going to only stick to one company so they would be a somewhat cohesive family, none of them would by tinies, and I set my limit to 2. All of those are completely out the window and I haven't even gotten my first! My wishlist has dolls from several companies, and for my first, I want Realpuki Aki (this week).

 

sometimes i guess there's just so many out there it's hard to stay with just one! their so pretty, and it just happens!

 

Beh, I wouldn't worry about it. Your interests change, and as we see new things we've never seen before, what we want changes as well. Falling in love with dolls... that's only ever REALLY happened once (though I've come close a few times), with my Soom Euclase. I didn't have the money or anything for him; I just fell for him. Shortly after, I got a job and used every penny I earned to pay him off. Granted, I wasn't working much, but it was at least three months' worth of pay.

 

I got enough money for a Spiritdoll tan Lotus with large bust....but then I decided do order epidos xD

 

Yeah...x.x I'd decided not to get anymore fandolls, but DIM was having a sale on Minimees and the 3D model of 2-D in Gorillaz Stylo video looked so creepycute and one thing leads to another...

 

Oh my word yes. This is a scary zone for a collector.....
I found RS Mei and stuck with her for my first, which was easy as she was "affordable" immediately, without saving and changing my mind...
But THEN!!! AHHAHAHHAHHA yeah right, on staying with that as my "only one, really, I swear".

Those resin creatures only travel in flocks it seems, you open the door a crack and that's the end of that.

I had planned JUST to get an MSD when I went to Japan, because that's what I had been saving for - an FCS MSD. Instead, whilst cruising the streets in Akihabara, I found a U-Noss, and that was the end of that. With five dolls now, I'm not sure if I can safely add another without it becoming a real problem for me to carry them around. I've been able to travel safely with a rolling bag with the five of them, but beyond that? o_o

 

My original plan was to get one doll, a Migidoll Ryu. Then my character decided his brother needed to be in doll form too. The plan then became a Ryu and a Miho. It's getting ridiculous as I'm finding dolls to fit every one of my characters just about perfectly

 

Ok I did it...twice. We'll ignore the first time I did it cause that was a while ago. But I did it twice in like, a week. I got paid and figured I'd order myself a doll as a present, since I can't ask for one from my family (no way we have enough at the moment to be able to get even a cheaper doll). So I decided to go ahead. But instead of getting the BBB Jun I was planning on, I decide to order a DZ Floy, so I can get one of the event dolls to. I want one of the Fairies. K. Well then I'm looking at possible wigs to order at the same time as him when I stop and really look at that lovely jewel that is DZ's Tulip. Totally fall for her, even though I've been after a Floy since I got into BJDs. Over three years. Then my girlfriend is all crazy over the DZ Momo. I like Momo to...but the Fairies doll was gonna be the one I wanted to pick as my event doll.

Tulip is currently in shipping and I put in the forms for two Momos >.> one for me and one for her.

x.x Yeah I should just stop with making dolly plans.

 

I said i'd never get a rs rong cause i didn't like her company pictures...
Guess what, i got one and i love her to bits.
I also said to myself my doll would never get a ridiculously long wig.
I slapped one on het just for the fun of it, but it looked so good on her i decided to keep it that way.

I'm really bad at keeping promises to myself -.-'.

 

This happens to me all the time (only wabt 1 doll, I'll stop with 10, 20 would be crazy, no tinies, no females,...).
But sometimes it happened more often with the same promise: When I got my first Iple EID I promised I'd never ever buy such a huge heavy EID again. Then they had released EID Chase. After I got him, I promised again - no EID anymore!! Those guys are too heavy for me!! Ok, I bought EID Jessica a little later, not as heavy as the boys, but still too much resin for me to handle. Again I promised not to get an EID again... some months later Iple released EID Tokyo Tedros... sure I have also bought this heavy guy, and I still say to myself - no more EIDs!!!!!!

And currently I'm breaking the latest promise not to buy any dolls until next year (on Monday I'll order a CP El and already saving for Volks Williams at dolpa24)

I can't trust myself anymore!!!!!!! I'll promise now, not to make anymore promises and plans!
