1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Oh no! I did what I said I wouldn't!

Jul 22, 2009

    1. I swore I would never like girls, and never own any girls. I also swore I'd only ever get two, as they were too expensive to justify more than that. I now have 10 and of those... 5 are girls :XD: (the ratio was more actually, until very recently!!) Oh, not to mention saying I would never spend more on their clothes than I do on my own - I buy my own mostly from charity shops while my dolls now swan around in $100+ outfits :XD: Oh how fickle I am...

    2. ^^ yap that happends to everyone. Once you started the hobby it's over. I SWEARED I won't have more then two. Well, now I am waiting for number four and five ^^. Hope it wont be more.

    3. Yup, I just did that with the money I had been saving for Luna if Volks ever releases her again. But I got a bug saying I really need this other doll and if I dont get her no biggie I will just keep saving for Luna. Then I got the doll, bye bye Luna fund. I have done this more times then I can count and even worse I have sold dolls I really love to buy another doll I thought I might love more.
      Sick Sick Sick <<<<<

    4. everytime i end up doing this it fairs poorly, so i try to watch my dolly decisions now ^^

    5. i said, "i'll never buy a limited!" mostly because it would be a) expensive and b) hard to get

and then i was admiring one of the dolls (a limited) at a meet as i was very fond of it and it had such nice legs~

and then someone said "it's for sale you know ?" i was ":o" it was going to it's 3rd home, and i really didn't want to see it go so i agreed that i would buy it if nobody else local would show interest in buying her OTL i'm such a push over, but now i have someone to dress in medieval and Renaissance clothing :D

    6. this has been my life. I said I wuld buy a doll three years ago. I can't pick one. So I am doll-less :(

    7. That's usual hun...you can't resist it! xD

    8. Hmmmm... yep, totally addicted ^_^

    9. This is actually really sad, but I said I'd never fall out of touch with the doll world, and yet... D:

I have always loved my boys during this time, but I began to spend more time in the lolita forums, and didn't visit DOA for months ;_; balancing two expensive hobbies really took it's toll I guess, but, I'm going on a small break from loli at the moment to focus more on BJDs and get up-to-date again with everything :'D

    10. xD When I first got into dollies I was shown the Soom webpage and after drooling over their dolls for a while I promised myself that I would never buy a soom because they are very expensive and I don't need to spend that sort of money

... I'm saving for a Soom now >>; Although technically he's an Angelregion but they're owned by soom xD

You'll wind up promising yourself a lot of things in this hobby, and breaking almost all of those promises eventually

    11. ya know I thought it was going to be just Emily and me for a while... well, that didn't last long, it must of been two weeks and I saw an AE Milkshake, I knew that I needed her. Now she's on layaway and I have found my second bigger doll I wanted. I would like a 5star doll Edmond, he's going to be Emily's love interest. I am hoping to buy him with my tax return money. >.<

    12. Bought an MSD....
I really didn't like the size of MSDs because they were the middle size.
      But, i've got 2 now. (I've been through 3)

    13. Hai hai. Welcome to the hobby. xD I always thought my first doll would be Iplehouse Vito, because he was the first I fell in love with, but now I want Dollfie Dream Aoi first now. xp

    14. BJDs are definitely addicting. I sometimes buy things for my girls on a whim, after telling myself I won't. Ah well, it's the hobby.

    15. D'oh, I said I'd wait till the next Fairyland summer event for my next doll, but no, first month if the year and I fell for a limited boy. Why do I even make myself rules/promises I can't keep? >,< Ah well, such is the hobby!

    16. Hee hee. I think I've changed my mind 4 times so far about which doll to get first...it keeps rotating.:? At the moment I am firmly set on my Littlefee Ante, Wren. I only discovered bjd's a few weeks ago:doh I feel your predicatment :)

    17. I wanted three to begin with, at least two so that they could interfere with each other in photos. Now I have two, a head which needs a body and one on the way. So my list expanded to six, because I only have one boy and it's logic that I need at least two boys ;) And I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep it down to six. I keep thinking that when I have the six dolls I really want, then my family is complete. But what happens after I've gotten those six dolls? I'll probably fall in love with more :b

    18. This happened to me constantly since I joined the hobby. First, I wanted only one doll. SD-size, male and from DOD. Half a year later this guy should be a Delf Moon. In the end, my first doll became a MNF Shiwoo Elf boy, with a twin following shortly after that. I also swore to never want a 70cm boy, a FCS-doll, attempt to find Volks limiteds, never spend this much on a doll-head e.t.c

Well, after three years and four more dolls I got my first SD-size doll. It´s a girl. Whilst I´m disciplined in other hobbys, I´ve given it up when it comes to BJDs. ;)

    19. I was good on my "one and only" till I discovered Fairyland! Now I have a Pukifee along with my DD. And while I'm happy with my pair, I can't help but be tempted by owner's pics of the LTFs and MNFs. And of course, they need stuff!!!

    20. it's happened to me. I finally had enough money for Luna's brother but then I saw a leekeworld Romeo in stock. I bought him on impulse and am happy I did. I fell in love with him. he is now my serious babysitter of my small dolls.
