1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Oh no! I did what I said I wouldn't!

Jul 22, 2009

    1. That's funny, I started out saving for DZ Meigi, but ended up getting a Luts Bory as my first doll. XD

    2. Mwahahahahah!!!! Part of me thinks the dolls planned this. I knew I'd want more than one doll when I started- but they just keep popping up! My longest wish list has has 50, and my shortest has had like 15, but the more I browse, the more I find new faces that I really just need to have. *sigh* This happens all the time- dolls are ridiculously social. As soon as I got Peitan, Planetdoll relased a boy- so guess who's decided she needs a brother? And worse yet, I'm saving for someone else right now! Yup. It happens.

    3. One is enough for me, actually.
I've had more, but currently I only have one doll at home. I could do with just him, and I would be satisfied. I know that.
However, I do plan to have 2 more dolls, but there is no "need" for them anymore. I am more than patient in buying/looking for them, and I would not be the least upset if I could not have them.

So eh... If needed, having only one doll wouldn't be hard for me.

    4. I told myself I wouldn't get another doll for a while. Aine was going to be my one and only, She has a little sibling on the way. So much for that!

    5. Oh my the same thing happend to me with that same doll. I was saving for my next boy then I saw E-an and found myself reeeeeaaaalllly wanting her.

    6. Right? There's just something about the weight of the Volks MSD that makes them feel so real even when you're carrying them around. Just like children ^__^

Also, you could just put anything on them and they look adorable.

    7. Ha-ha, well, for me it's not the weight so much as the fact that they look like kids. I've seen too many MSDs that look (to me) like kids with a fully-developed chest. They aren't quite adult-like, but they really aren't childlike either, so I went for the non-slender non-boobified Volks MSD. XD

    8. It's worse than addictive... LOL! Addictions can be defeated. (anyone ever staged a dolly intervention? ROFL!)

Sometimes the dolls just call out to you. I had two dolls I wanted really badly... I have them. But I also have 4 others--none of whom have ever been on a wishlist of mine but all of whom I could not resist. It's like crack, I tell you! Crack!

And I have more I'm planning on getting. But who the heck knows what dolls will graft themselves to me (and my bank account) before then.

    9. Ha ha, I had been long planning on getting a DOT E-an myself, and then I ended up with a Volks DDdy Yoko (I love her soo much!), and I like DD's so much I'll be getting another one before I get E-an now.

      One just isn't enough...

    10. Hahaha, oh dear. I understand where you're coming from though. It would be a little disconcerting to have a doll you think looks 7-11 years old all busty-like.

    11. I was so sure I was going to get an Iplehouse Freezia for my first doll. Then I stumbled across Ringdoll and found Wagashi. Luckily, she was actually cheaper than Freezia, so it worked for me.

    12. Haha it happened to me too, especially when I was choosing my first tiny doll. I wanted an AS Yuma first, den I came across and wanted some of the Leeke (Chouette) and Luts (Pie/Cookie) tinies. Usually I wait for a few days, sleep on it and decided again after a few days if I still wanted the doll as much as I do in the beginning. Eventually I decided to just go for Yuma, and save again in future for the other dolls~ And then.... I saw Crobidoll Silver Ring Ara. I'd have gotten him right then but I had already paid for Yuma and Crobi didnt accept layaway... so... I had to pass him over T_T

    13. Same thing happened to me! It's a good thing that they were the exact same price!

    14. I promised myself that I would never get an SD.
      ...
      WHYYYYYYY did I have to fall for this boy? ;_;
Now he's home, and he's wonderful, and I don't know if I could ever go back to my MSDs and tinies and be happy...In fact, I know I can't. I now have two more SD-sized dolls planned. I sold my Resinsoul Mei. The other two MSDs (one girl, one boy) are probably going to stay, at least for awhile. But but but but...
      Man. I'm such a pushover.
      >>

    15. I started out wanting just Crobidoll Yeon-Ho, and I told myself he'd be fine by himself.

A month later and I have four dolls on the way, none of which are Yeon-Ho! >_<"
I still have no idea what happened.

    16. The plan was to have one tiny, then I started having ideas about having a best friend for that tiny. Then I got two impossible to refuse deals for a head and body for a Volks MSD, and I'm also thinking about getting a friend for her too (so she won't feel like a lonely giant among the tinies)! Neither of the dolls are here yet, but I'm already planning to have 4 in the family, yikess!

    17. Too true!

You think you like one, and you end up with a lot. Though I still don't have my dreamed doll... I'll ask Santa for Christmas, lol!

    18. Hahahahaha! I thought I'd be a one doll person, too. Alas, I can now name at least two different sizes and several head molds I wouldn't mind owning. After all, you can have multiple heads share a body, and then you save money, right? Hahahaha... ha.:sigh

I think the trick is to put a lot of space between each doll purchase so you don't wind up with dozens of them...

    19. Last year, I said I was quite happy just having Shinta. But sometimes things change and last december I bought a second and my third is in the making.

It's just that I got inspired and I have plans for more dolls.

    20. happens to me aaaaaaaaaall the time.
i want too many dolls at the same time and i can never choose xD
