1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Oh no! I did what I said I wouldn't!

Jul 22, 2009

    1. Oh man, I'm painfully familiar with this phenomenon... LOL! I pretty much gave up having one SD as a lost cause, but figured I'd be perfectly fine with one YO-SD sized boy. Of course I figured wrong. As soon as my Alk came home I started thinking how he needed a playmate. Now I've got a Kakeru on the way. :doh

    2. I would like an MSD boy to go with my girls.

    3. Happen. A lot.

I said I will never look at Volks and Volks is 'blah'.
Now almost all my wishlist is Volks dolls.

I said I will only love tiny.
That change a lot, now I like all size.

I want to only have boys.
But now my dream doll is a girl.

    4. Absolutely!
I have been wanting a Soony since like 2004, and have gotten numerous dolls inbetween, but now they've all made way for The Soony, and we'll live happily ever after! ^____^

And _very_ recently it happened to me when I was TOTALLY in love with Loongsoul Emily, and then skipping along came Ariadoll Sleeping Iris, and she really stole my heart away (and my money >___<)

    5. Oh my yes and then in most cases I ended up selling other doll at a severe loss only to buy the doll I was supposed to get in first place. So yes it's best to think seriously before you change doll plans or even dreams. If your unsure even a little then don't do it. I have done this a few times thinking well I can afford this doll not the other. But if I didn't get the one I would in time afford the other and sooner.

    6. Oh dear...I plan on only having two. I wonder if I'll be able to hold up. O_O;

    7. Yup, happens to everyone I think. I was saving up for a new body at one point, and suddenly once I saw a certain doll, fell in love, the body was all but pushed aside to get him lol.

It seems I will never be able to save enough to fuel my hobby XD

    8. Oh I so had to chuckle at all the responses to this thread. :)

It was just a day ago that I told myself that I would get one doll. Just ONE. And what do I do? I end up getting two because I fell in love with them and I wanted to keep the two LittleFee mates together. And what is bad, I have my eyes on a few others that I think are so cute. Yes, this is going to be a very addictive and expensive hobby. *shakes her head at herself* At least I am happy and having fun. That is what matters.

    9. Yeah, sadly it happens to everyone. You think you're only going to get one, then two minutes later you look at your want list and there is another three dolls on it. xD
Addicting is an understatement with this hobby.

    10. You know, I just realized something else that makes this addiction even more expensive. All the cool clothing and accessories you want for your dolls. *_* A lot of them cost about the amount you would pay for your own clothing. Oh our poor wallet and bank account.

    11. Even eyes and wigs add up....its so easy to spend $100 on 1-2 dolls....imagine having 5 dolls that need a combination of both! (darn Custom House sales lol!)

    12. This thread is too funny. I too have fallen to the "cannot have just one" phenomenon. I gave myself a limit of three dolls this year. Thinking that that was alot and I should be fine with that many to photograph, sew for etc....

Turned out not to be the case. I now have three, waiting for one, and am planning my fifth purchase with a surprise gift my grandma just gave me. This is getting totally out of hand.

The worst part is I am totally torn over two different LIMITED dolls.... and I keep thinking about the next Soom female MD which has to be a stunner or I'm going to be so disappointed. Oh well, I love my dollies :)

    13. Hahhh that's ok I did the same thing. I even have a top ten now so not good for my wallet hahhh. I don't think that you can just buy one, they are an addiction(there are just so many different models and you can make them look so different).:aheartbea

    14. Sadly, yes. XDD I have 5 I have on my wishlist but I'm thinking of only getting 2 of them seeing as I still need to look up more on the other dolls. I'm already saving up for my next doll and my first one still has to arrive!

    15. I was saving for dream of doll but now I'm saving for fairyland. I'm still thinking about dream of doll in the back of my mind. I'm so indecisive!

    16. I never thought a limited edition of a doll would win me over to the point where I had to HAVE IT NOW. Bad Fairyland! I had intended to buy nDoll Luna next...I will definitely be reorganizing my finances now for that one.

    17. I guess I know my addictive nature pretty well. I knew from the moment I first saw these dolls that I wouldn't be able to limit myself to just one. There are four that I really like but have decided for now to just get two and see how well that holds me over. I have a feeling not well, since I haven't even ordered my two yet and I'm already plotting characters and styles for the two I'm *not* getting haha

    18. I am not a Tiny person.
Ok, I'll never own more than one Tiny.
And I'll never own a Puki.
Or at least, I don't need more than one Puki.
      Make that two Pukis...

Damn. They really are like Potato Chips. D:

    19. I knew I'd have more than one right from the start. It's my personality type and I have too many original characters I'd love to doll. However "I'll be lucky if I get one a year" went out the window really fast. I've been in the hobby for a year now and had 3-4 dolls at a time and went through 7 full dolls and 2 heads and have my 8th doll on her way. In all fairness This 8th doll will be my only doll until I can afford another SD13+ boy :D;

    20. Haa~ I did the same thing. I've been saving up for my dream doll (Unoa Lusis) but when a batch was released I was 100 short ;A; (A little more but I like round numbers lol)

Then Sooms Gluino came out. o.m.g. I can NOT pass him up!! So I got him instead (well, paid...still waiting on shipping), even though I told myself I'm saving that money for a Lusis XDD
