Oh, I agree, Muja is an angel even though she insists not. If it weren't for her efforts, I wouldn't have a Bubu 2 living at my house now. But I'll let him tell his story in his own words.

I was a lonely little pig sitting on a shelf
Until I was rescued by a most courageous elf.
By car, by truck, by plane I flew.
Where was I going ? … who knew?

From the dark I saw the face of another elf, most dear.
She kissed my face and cried that FINALLY I was here.
But with the other pigs, I was just one amongst the many.
That little elf said, “I know someone, of pigs she hasn’t any.”
So with her blessing, and a sweet kiss goodbye,
I found myself in the box again, flying in the sky.

When my box was open, I had to plug my ears,
This one was squealing, “He’s here, he’s here, he‘s HERE.”

Although she can not sew, she labored the day throughout,
And when she was done, she kissed my little snout.
These clothes you wouldn’t find at Bergdorf,
(I wear them so I won’t freeze my butt off.)

Oh Susan that is brilliant! I love how these little darlings have connected us from all over the world, and I so appreciate the new friends we are making through Muja's thread.

We were contacted today by The Myrtle Woods Evening Tattler which was threatening to publish a photo they somehow got if we didn't pay a whole lot of money to them! But after talking it over with the parents, we decided we would not bend to their blackmail and would publish the photo first! The wedding took place some time ago (I just need to post the photos and, er, take them) so this baby is 100% legitimate since pigs have fairly short gestation periods (it is pretty short, right?) Mrs. Wilburforce Wigglebottom would like to introduce you to her daughter, Chastity.

 

So glad you posted the picture, Darkstar. Never give in to blackmail. What a sweet photo, the new mom looks quite glamerous and the new babe, darling.

Um, I wrote the quote. I'm writing a couple of things about dolls and this is from the less developed of the two. I don't know much about the person who says it, except that he's a doll artist.

Fantastic! I have an Alice (boy) on the way to me -- and I'm going to love him lots -- but if a Bubu wandered into my sight, well, let's just say I adore the Bubu sculpt. Did you get yours on the secondhand market?

Yeah, I have a cat and a giraffe who sit all day with their arms around each other in loving devotion. I can't show them as they're OT. Fortunately it's a boy/boy romance so I don't have to worry about offspring.

I have actually been rather seduced recently by an OT doll and I was showing my hubby this other doll forum and he just started cracking up because he is so accustomed to all the mayhem on the FF thread, so he started reading all these sweet messages of "What a lovely, oh how nice, isnt it charming...ect" and burst out laughing over how noone had farted, rounded up monkey balls, had trangendered potatos growing in their bathrooms, streaking pukis, no butts mentioned, glowing or otherwise, no wild crazed flights of tangential irreverence. He just couldnt stop giggling at his brief encounter with a "normal doll thread"

But of course over here you have much of the same crew - so this is a great thread too!

Yep, I had sold a doll to a peep here via MP and we ended up trading so I am getting a lovely Bubu w sleeping head - SqueeDoodle!

Thats who the special bed is for - Moishe and Ophelia seem quite content for now on their little bent twig bench in the peaceful garden with Tiggys perimeter plant.....tee heee... I guess that could affect offspring count eh peeps?! Will need to get a pic of that for ya!

I know exactly what you mean. There's a thread here -- and I adore the dolls and the people are so, so nice and they do beautiful, beautiful face ups and make gorgeous dresses -- but it's all just a bit... dull. The dolls sit around politely on chairs. They don't have adventures like the piggies here -- or write poetry -- or adopt toddlers. Piggies are so much cleverer. My boys at home (OT dolls, 6 yrs old) aren't polite at all; they're more, "Mama! Put that Deadwood dvd on again! We want to see the bit where
the man squishes the Indian man's head with a rock!" "Yeah! We want to see the blood!"

SqueeDoodle indeed! I adore sleeping heads! I haven't seen a sleeping Bubu outside the CCC website. Can't wait to see your girl!

Ernie has stolen all our hearts with his dashing ways, hasn't he? Those eyelashes and that poetry! My ACB boy was (perhaps still is at the moment) a girl, but my kind seller is redoing his face-up. She's changing his dark lashes for blond ones. Another boy-piggy friend for Banbhan and Ernie.

ROFL over the thread comparrison. It's not that those of us on the FF thread can't do company manners, it's just that we are a huge family now and our conversations reflect that.

An embarrassed Ernie says thank you all for the kind complements. He works on his poetry when he's out collecting herbs and wild flowers.

 

Ah, ah, Ernie! You're not allowed to cover up those beautiful eyelashes in photos. What does he do with herbs and wildflowers, I wonder? Such a sweetie? Who did his face-up, Susan B.?

 

Ernie really is such a sweetie. I find it impossible to resist his little smile. Ernie is an herbalist and spends a lot of time hunting rare plants. His wondeful faceup is by Sweetly Twisted and my pictures don't manage to capture all the detail.

I may have gotten it wrong, but I think the baby's father was Patrick - Darkstar, forgive me if I screwed that up! I just remember that adorable aching pic as he waited for her to come home, and I thought his name was Patrick, but now I am not sure - last name is surely Wigglebottom tho! (oosp, "Mrs Wilburforce Wigglebottom" - now I am not sure whos name is what!) Ack!

Well you guys inspired me, and I Finally realized I actually DO have eyes, meant for another doll, but utterly Perfectly what I have truly wanted in my ACB Mommie - so here she is with darling little one in an OOAK dress by Biscuitbear that was one of the first works of art I ever bought for a dolly - isnt it Amazing?! (BTW is anyone noticing that I cant recall the names of MY OWN dolls OMG!)
