1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

One doll is good enough!....or Is it?

Oct 22, 2009

    1. i havn't even got the doll yet and i've already spent almost $2000 on him.... its not healthy. maybe i like 2 years... or somethinf i'll get another one. i dunno

    2. ...will you keep your promise to yourself?;)

    3. I have thought about that, you are right. But the space in my room does not... grow so if I have to buy another one bigger size and buy all this stuff a new one needs (wigs, shoes not to mention clothes, for I make them by my own) I won't have enough space for me...lol
But you are right, I have felt the same in the past every time I changed the kind of dolls which I prefered collecting. I was telling to myself that this time would be the last I changed my mind and this new doll will be definately the last but... never kept my promise. So, probably the problem is that I do not trust myself anymore to rely on my word that this new doll will be my last...:...(

    4. I'm about the get my first doll this weekend (yay!) And am starting to look for another as i think he'll be lonely.. ;) Singular dolls were never in my mind. I think it makes the sole doll look... desolate.

Well, this is just my 2 cents worth :D

    5. Uh-huh. Suuuuuure. "One doll is good enough."

(look at me profile, ya-har, ya-yar)

      Fail. Epic-variety fail.

    6. i also just wanted 1 doll but then... take a look at my signature => wishlist xDDDDDD

    7. For a few months I wanted just one doll, she isn't even ordered yet and I'm already planning the next 2

    8. I'm saving up for my first doll. I promised myself it will only be her. I'm home sick right now and found extra time on my hands......and have fallen in love with yet another one. And I named him. That is the worst thing I could possibly do because then I become attached. DX

    9. I really think that one doll is good enough for me at the moment. Definitely...yep definitely. I had bought another doll and it just did not feel right, so I put that other boy back on the market. Maybe I thought my first boy would get jealous and begin to hate me or something, but mostly it was because I was so in love with his sculpt. MAYBE! JUST maybe, I may get another doll of the EXACT scuplt. I've been thinking about it. hehe

    10. Well, I just ordered one doll that should be here by the end of the week and I am saving for another . . . mmmmm - nope! One doll is not enough! My fear is that I will need many, many more to fulfill my addiction. If that's even possible! :D

    11. Absolutely. I thought I'd only get one, Aurora. That was...until she got here. I began thinking how lonely she'd be...sitting there...alone. So then I looked around, feel in love with another sculpt and decided it shall be mine.

      And now...I'm getting my third soon enough. ;w;
One was defiantly not enough for me.

    12. Oh, this my fear too. As I keep reading everyone knows that it's true: one is never enough!
      So what shall we do?

    13. I started out thinking that I would definitely be happy just having one doll - that was all I needed, but as I started getting into taking pictures of her and making photostories, I realized how much fun it would be for her to have a boyfriend, or a little brother or sister. And now... I definitely have more than one!

    14. To be honest, the doll I'm getting first isn't expensive and is more of a practice/experimental doll for faceup work, but I can already envision her personality so . . . . :aangel: I will get my Mei, though. Oh, yes - she will be mine! hehe

    15. I decided I'd get two, but space out the purchases as to protect my purse :sweat, I think a week after I had my first doll, I started to look for my second.

My third doll is currently being held in customs until Friday -_- I say she'll be my last, for sure, but just watch this space... ;)

    16. Get a spare room in your house especially for dolls?

    17. It is strange, up until now I have been KNOWING that I would probably want at least four dolls, but I just got my first one and my second is on the way, and now I feel strangely content. Maybe I will be able to stick with two dolls, at least for a while.

    18. So far it seems that if you have one doll because you a) want one doll to spoil exclusively or b) won't spend that much money again, you're doomed! XD

    19. i had one for a while but i didn't play with him alot but now that i have plans for more and i'm saving for more, i find myself playing with my boy alot more. i guess even the promise of more is what helps me to stay in the hobby :)
