1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

One doll is good enough!....or Is it?

Oct 22, 2009

    1. I have done the same. I 've bought Isabella to experiment myself and now her faceup is done I can not think of changing her (I shall post soon her pics in the thread devoted to her). I tried to find another girl with her features in that size but all I have seen by now are babyfaced so things force me either to try more or find an a msd. Mei would be an msd choise for she is indeed so full of possibilities to creat. I wish you enjoy her.

    2. Many people have a special room for their dolls but I am not one of them. I said that if I keep spoiling my Isabella -as another guy over here says- and then buy another one in another size... yes, I guess I shall be doomed... to sleep in the kitchen for I have not enough space in my room (a lot lot lot books) to store their belongings.
I hopa I expressed myself better this time. ;)

    3. I am so embarrassed to say, that after a year in this hobby, I have ten dolls. And yes, they span all sizes and sexes. I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel either!

    4. I said that too...

Until I wanted a brother for my girl.

Now I want a mama and papa xD;; But I don't know if i could afford them - I might just settle with a tiny for them to play with.

    5. I though one was enough, but now she has a baby coming soon and a husband as well :P

    6. I thought the same way at first... Then one doll turned into two, then three, then four... Four dolls and four floating heads later....

Yeah, one is not gonna cut it. Not for me anyways. 8D

    7. Yep, I should have my new doll tomorrow or maybe Saturday (crosses digits) and will be getting some supplies to go to town on her face over the weekend. I think I'll experiment on her until I find a faceup that's pretty much mistake free. She and my Mei will probably have completely different looks.

    8. Well... what can I say, I've never had only one BJD because at my first purchase I ordered 2 dolls at once!!! ;)

I've never thought that would be enough to have only one... now I have 6 and I'm waiting for the 7th

    9. I husband swore up and down that he was only going to get one doll. He is now waiting on his first doll and has 6 more on his wish list.... I've created a monster!

I've known since the beginning that I was going to have more then one, I got my first two dolls two weeks apart.

    10. Well, I thought I'd have about 4. Well, I HAVE 6 and just ordered 2 more and plan on definately getting 1 or 2 more in a few months. So NO, I did not stick to my plans of having a small number of dolls. Not only did I need an entire doll family but they need friends!!! *_*

    11. I started out by saying I would get one doll - which wasn't a BJD. Then I said 10 dolls would be my total and no BJDs... Somehow the total has ended up at around 40 (okay, somewhere over 40 where I just stopped counting) including 9 BJDs currently at home (although I'm selling two and and have two more coming) and can see more being added to my collection.

    12. I think I could have been happy to stick to one doll, but it was never really my plan to do so... and having more than one is really fun! :D

    13. I thought I'd only have one, and then... less than a year later, I have three.

      ...oops.

    14. when i first ordered my boy i said i would only have him. i reasoned of course because i dont have alot of money, that one would be enough......

      i'm now planning on getting another one, because he would be lonely without a friend! and i'm still waiting for my first boy to come home x_x. well there goes that plan lol. two will be enough i swear! x___x;;;

    15. that's what they all say....

    16. I knew when I started shopping for a BJD and said 'Oooh, I want that one. And that one, and that one!' that I was in trouble. However, as I've stated a few times [maybe I should just put it in my nonexistant signature?] I'm a collector of dolls, so I don't fee quite so bad about wanting more than one, and I've walked in knowing that on my meagre salary and with my bills, that will help to limit how many I invest in.

I already have three dolls planned. So that tells you that one is definitely not enough. lol

    17. Few days ago I was writting in this thread that I wanted to stick only to my Isabella Bb for could not find any other in her size without a baby face. So one doll should be enough...
Yeah, I knew could not count on me...Now I have found mini Riz PD and want her so much.
      So, God help us all...lol

One is never enough like "enough is never enough" (old proverb).

    18. First, I liked 4 and it slowly inched to 32 in about a year
Hey. Lets put it this way: The more the merrier! XD I never thought I was going to get one. I would find another one that I liked and another and another and I don't think my doll list is ever going to stop. There are so many new companies out there and they keep making new dolls :D

    19. I'm still happy with my one and only if I don't look at the news forums -new dolls- threads then I can control myself easily, but if I do see one I like I put it on a list because I wait a few months before checking them out again and see if I really want them, the list was like 20+ and now its down to 4. But there is so much one can do with doing photostories and glamor shots with just one doll.
I am planning to get another one in the future so he can have a best friend and maybe a brother. Or just two best friends, we'll see. But its definite lol. :D

edit: then again if you have friends that have dollies, I'd be more easier having one.

    20. When I first came into bjd world last year, I decided to have only one for all my love and care. But after living with him for a month, I ordered a younger sister for him. This may be something we cannot resist, I guess.
