One doll is good enough!....or Is it?

I never thought one would be all. I always thought I would have a big, fun collection. I just didn't think I'd get so many so quickly. Way, way too fast. XD

 

I thought maybe two, a boy and a girl... I really don't think that's going to happen as I just bought my second boy and haven't picked a girl yet...

 

Not only did I say "Only One!" I also said "No more than Five!" and "I'm gonna stop at ten I SWEAR!" Lol. Now I'm just going with the character flow...and saving up all my pennies.

 

I have small dolls (1/6) so even if I started with 'ok, only one or a couple' it's getting already nearly 10. But when I buy bjd, I will only keep 1 or 2 for the price's sake.

 

Stopping at one is almost impossible is you ask me. Once you get your first and get infected with the bjd virus there is not stopping hihi.
Having 3 going on 4 :S and still ot's more on the wishing list.

 

I thought at the beginning one was enough.. (or maybe i only hoped it would be) but from that time on, they just seem to multiply.. O.o
So i guess one isn't enough..
and other friend with a one doll policy, well, she got 4 now.. I rest my case

 

Well I purchased two as my first, they were actually obitus. But I decided they'd be it, my two main characters. Then Fate appeared in the market place, and I HAD TO HAVE HIM. Mind you I've had to sell all my dolls a few times, because the way I see it, is as long as I'm willing to sell them if I need the money, I'm ok. I purchase Midori a few months ago, re-purchased Devlyn a month or two after that, and in the last week I've purchased 4 T_T But they were all Obscenely good prices that I knew I wouldn't see again so . . . . (yes that is how I am justifying it)

 

I had said I'd only get one....But Reika told me she wants a friend! She said that she's tired of being alone at home in the room.....and so I'm saving up for my second...and planning for my third to be a 60 cm.

 

i think one is nice when it comes down to financial situations, but if i had more money and i didnt have anything to worry about... boy oh boy, there would be MANY!

i think the main thing is with money, if we didnt have to worry about money i think all of us would have many many dollies to love!

 

XD I said I'd limit myself to just one. That..obviously didn't work.

Camellia pulled on my heartstrings HARD. :'3 So here I am with two.

 

I think I will have one so I can concentrate on that one... I hate the idea of having many and splitting attention.


I hope I will stop myself if I ever want more...

i think the thing is, if you PROMISE yourself one, you're GOING to have a few.

 

I really want to get another...but i still have yet to get a wig and clothes for my doll

 

Wow, haha. This topic is really making me wonder about what I'm planning on getting into. XD;

I think I know myself pretty well already, though (BIG spender, impulse buyer, goes into Wal-Mart for milk and comes out with CDs, games, a week's worth of food, and an iPod SOB SOB), so I'm already planning on four or five ABJDs. ;_; It'll break the bank, but they're just so damn AWESOME.

My car broke down shortly after I joined here, or I'd probably already have one. Sigh. Might as well start reading up like a madwoman, though.

 

I have 14. . . resin invites friends. I thought I only wanted one, then Keijo popped up and I had to find Damian, but Damian became Akujin and so the story goes I now have 14 and two more on the way

Twenty dolls used to seem like such a "DEAR GOD THAT'S A LOTTA DOLLZ" number. XD

 

For the first time,I planed that I will have just 3 dolls in 3 sizes, SD,MSD and YOSD.
But I was wrong because I would like to collect more and more!!!!!
So could anyone tell me how to stop!! XP

 

I started off with one doll and thought...

"These dolls are so expensive, so I'll only ever have one anyway."

Didn't happen. I bought three dolls, then sold one my first year in the hobby. The second year I bought three dolls and sold two. In my third year I bought one doll. Then this year I bought five dolls and sold one. And I plan on buying four dolls. I'm hoping that no more dolls come out that I have to have. My mother is getting upset with me buying all these dolls because were running out of room.

 

I never wanted just one, even though they wouldn't be alone since my sister would have hers, but after I failed at getting a job and put my first one on layaway I said to myself "Codi's gonna hafta be an only child." but now Codi's not even here and I have two other dolls on layaway! XD Und trust me, after they're paid off more will be coming...

I never felt there would be 'just one' for me. I was pretty certain I would end up with at least three. Right now, I have two! XD
