ONLY buying Male & ONLY buying Female Dolls

Jun 9, 2010

    1.
    2. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you? I buy both male and female because it suits my desire to create stories with them.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)? Haven't really thought about that yet.

    3. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?

      I only buy female dolls.
I'm male, and since i'm not so intrested in guys, I just don't feel comfortable having male dolls.
I prefer female dolls 'cause I simply see beauty in them diffrently that in the male ones.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?

Well, I'd like to have a couple of male dolls, but still they dont facinate me as much as females.
I actually have one boy doll at the moment, even he's just a head.
He's one of my all-time favourites.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?

      I just told you. : D
I don't feel very comfortable buying very manly guys, but some of them are actually kinda nice and maby I'll get one someday. Maby.

    4. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
So far I only have one doll and she is female. I do plan on getting males in the future.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
Of course! I really want Volks tan Shiro!!

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
Not really. It's more the physical aspect.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?

I would, but I need to learn how to restring a doll first. But I really doubt that I would. Maybe, it just depends on the facial characteristics.

    5. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
Currently, I only have one doll, who is female. I prefer the female visage over the male simply because I am female so I understand it more and I know how to give it faceups and how to dress them.
If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
Absolutely, I would love to have a male doll or two, but I would most likely have more female dolls than male dolls simply because of my above statement.
Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
Definitely, personally I'm not a fan of the incredibly masculine looking dolls, such as some of the elder iplehouse dolls. Their sharp lines and solid facial structures just intimidate me.
Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Yes, I would, I'm kind of a big fan of having "twin dolls" one being male and the other being female.

    6. I've had a Souldoll Paolo for about a year now (and a floating Dollshe Saint head), and I've finally made up my mind to sell them on. I just don't care to own any boys. I thought I might (obviously), but they just seem static to me. (Note: I do very much enjoy others' photos of their male dolls, but I personally can't do anything with them). So I'll concentrate on my pretty girls (who sometimes cross-dress as pretty boys) and leave it at that.

    7. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
yes for now , i prefer females

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
recently , ive giving it much thought

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
not really , as long as I like the way it looks.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender?
No.. firstly , i have no idea how to do it and secondly, that thought never crossed my mind . Until i came across your question LOL

    8. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
ANS: I wont just buy dolls of a same sex. I just love to cross dress my dolls.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
      ANS: -NA- to me

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
ANS: No, certainly not, what i go for is just the feeling. Do i like the doll or not, not the glender of the doll that matters, in fact i have a healthy mix of 3 female and 2 male doll (1 more guy on his way ^_^)

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
ANS: I will only buy the head if its really really cheap or its a sculpt i love :D

    9. I usually buy dolls in pairs of a boy and girl
I like to design costumes in matched sets
      particularly period costumes

    10. IM surely more interested and only acquiring female dolls, for some reason im not that attracted to male dolls, maybe is how they look, maybe if there was a manly boy out there and less girly...
i do have seen several heads that i consider would look pretty interested on an opposite sex body, but haven't done that :P

    11. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you? Yes. I only have female dolls. Would I consider buying a male? Yes, but I've yet to find one that appeals to me Gender absolutely makes a doll more appealing. I like females because I love the body sculpts more. I think they are pretty. :)

    12. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
yes, only girls. As they are more of a variety of fashion to dress up and it cute and girly just like me.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
I had brought male dolls, I just turned the, into girls because they look like girls anyway and I find their sculpt irresistible.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
      No.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
      Yes

    13. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
Not really, I have more females than males. I just started out and I have one female doll and another doll I'm making into a female. I'd probably have more female though. I don't dislike the male dolls...just...after taking several years before buying a doll, I realized that most of them look VERY feminine anyway. Why buy a feminine male doll when you can get a female? I also prefer the female body more. Even as a doll they have more curves. Curves are more appealing. I prefer male dolls that actually look masculine. I do have a girl that is flat chested and she will be the only one. Just as I like my dudes to look like dudes, I want my girls to not look like a pubescent teen boy. XD

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
Of course. I have one boy in mind so far. :3

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
Yes and no, depends on the make of the doll. Female body= more appealing, but masculine male= more appealing.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Yes. XD I was going to get a Karsh head and stick it on a female body until I got a Juri 2012 event head.

    14. I like to look at male dolls and other people have amazing boys, but I know that I'm heavily biased towards my girls. My one and only boy only has two outfits - the outfit he came with and one I bought him because I wanted the parka for a girl!

There are a few boys I would love to have, I really like Volks Irvin and some of the SWITCH guys, but I know they'd get neglected in favour of my girls, so I just prefer to look at what other people do with theirs :)

    15. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
I buy only female dolls. Because they inspire me for creation.I don`t feel like that with male dolls.Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
I`ve never buy a head of the opposite head, but if i will like any head of the opposite sex i buy it.

    16. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?

Yes. I am not really interested in Male dolls. I find most male BJD to be too feminin for my tastes and something about the muscular resin bodies do nothing for me.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?

      It depends on the sculpt.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?

Not nessisarily. I have found a few male sculpts to be appealing to me... but i would want to buy the head and make them female

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?

      Definately. :)

    17. 1.) Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
At the present, I have two SD boys. I am, however, saving up for a female doll. I don't have any issues with gender, really; it's just that most of the characters in my novella are male, so the male dolls will outnumber the female.

2.) If you do, would you consider buying the opposite gender of doll?
Once upon a time, I only wanted boys. First of all, most of my characters are male. Secondly, I wanted to have a harem of gorgeous boys living with me. But I ended up creating a female character I liked, and because I'm such a big fan of dressing up, I wanted to have a girl here to dress up, too.

3.) Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
      No.

4.) Would you ever buy the head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
      Whyever not? ;)

    18. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
The first few dolls I have planned are female and while I do connect with the female form of the doll a bit more, I still have several male characters that I will be getting. The reason for this, is because my dolls are characters in my books and I have both male and female characters (though females are always the heroines. :P)

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
See above, I definitely need to find the right sculpts for the few males I have planned, but it will happen. :)

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
I enjoy the female form more, but I've always had more of a connection with all things "girly."

Would you ever buy the head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
I suppose that depends. I think a blank sculpt can pretty much be made into either male or female head. It just depends on the face-up. So if I found one I thought would be better as male/female I would consider it.

    19. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
      ~
So far I have 2 male dolls, both are Isuls, one named Virgyl and the other is Faye. And I'm planning to buy another baby boy bjd. First of all, my mom said playing with a doll is already a girly thing to do (I'm a guy) and she doesn't allow me to have any girl dolls around. And plus, I myself find it that male dolls are more attractive compared to the females for some weird reason even I don't know how to explain.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
~ Yes, but it's not for me but for my younger sister.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
~ Definitely! Male dolls especially the boy ones they have that crybaby face yet still maintain the cheekiness. So basically, they're pretty much like chameleons.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
~ Not in the mind so far.

    20. Well this is kind of a weird concept for me since I'm so new to the hobby but as far as choosing a sex of a doll to buy, I mostly have girls on my wish list and I didn't have any desire to buy a boy at any time in the hobby of course I was being kinda stuck up about not wanting to buy a boy because I'd never actually looked at a boys sculpt. I still don't really look around for a boy but I do know that I will be getting one sometime or another it just all depends on the one I like. To me other people only buying one sex of a doll doesn't bother me. Mostly because it's not my money they are spending! It's theirs to do with they want with it and it isnt my Job to tell them otherwise.
