ONLY buying Male & ONLY buying Female Dolls

Jun 9, 2010

    1. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
ehh i usually will buy just one female and the rest male i prefer to dress boys and have just one pretty girl

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
i would but for me to have more than one girl in the house she would have to be pretty amazing

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
i guess you could say that

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
yes ive done it before ^.^

    2. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
Right now i only have male dolls in my house. I am more bias to male doll as i think their outfit look better. I am able to crossdress them as well because they look like girl as well

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
Yes, definitely i would get a female dolls now.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
No since i am going to buy mini/tiny dolls. I guess it won't have any difference

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Nope. I feel that its complicated if the shop does not offer the option.

    3. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
I prefer male dolls. Girly male dolls?? xD I don't really know.. I'm not really attracted to the female dolls' bodies as most of them have big chests which I'm not fond of. I know there's ones with smaller chests but I'd rather have a male to dress in girls clothes for the 'mystery' and interpretive factor. (That is to say, I'll let you decide what you will of my dolls rather than me telling you.)

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
I would consider it but I'd have to really like the sculpt. Some of the female dolls I've seen don't do anything for me, sculpt-wise. I've seen a few with really cute faces but I guess I'm not a fan of predictable... like... girl doll in a cute dress. I wouldn't be against buying a smaller chested girl, though.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
I guess so.. but I'd be more than likely to buy a male than a female doll.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
It's possible but I'm not so sure I'd do it right away.. obviously it would require a bit more work and thought.

    4. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
Majority of the dolls I have planned out are men (7 men versus 3 women). This again stems from that my dolls are mirroring my rp characters, and I've always been leaning towards rp'ing men (albeit often androgynous or downright feminine men).

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?

My 3 soon-to-come girls excluded, I might get a palm-sized girl one day. They are just so cute and tiny ~( * 3 *)~

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
      No, not really.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
I fully intend to do just that >] Thrice even (female head for male doll, modded female body for male doll and modded male sculpt for female doll.)

    5. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you? Yes I only buy female dolls. I think they are easier to dream up characters and histories to. I like girly clothes more then boy clothes. They are prettier to look at and funnier to photograph. I am a real girly girl my self so it's not hard to understand why Im only falling in love with girl dolls.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll? Yes sometimes I thinking about buying a real good looking dude. But I don't think thats going to happend. There is to many girls I want!

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you? Yes absolutely!

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)? Maybe. So far I have't found anything that looks interesting to me.

    6. Most of my dolls are female. I have one male doll. Don't think I will buy more males as they don't really speak to me.

    7. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
Yeah.. only 'boys' so far. Xiao is genderless in my eyes, but I bought him originally intending him to be a boy, and therefore usually LOOKS like a boy. Then I got it in my mind that my OC Gegaish would be a good lover for him, and made Gegaish into reality... so a 'gay' couple. It felt weird having a couple where I only had a doll of one of them, and I always figured I'd have a few boys before a girl.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
That's next.. Xiaodan needs a little sister. He just needs one, because it'd feel just perfect. A half sister, maybe with just pointed ears, and no dragon wings. Another Pixiu would seem too much like a twin.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
Well, the perceived gender makes them more appealing, anyhow, and any perceived personality traits because of their appearance comes of slightly differently on different sexes because on gender roles/expectations. Naturally. I guess it's okay because it's just a doll.....

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Yeah. I might not think to LOOK at the opposite gendered heads while finding a head for a body though... vice versa.

    8. Yeah I only buy one type of doll actually.. I buy Dollfie Dreams.. and thats really it.

I like DD's because of the fact that they are female, I do fashion/glamour photography now, so having my dolls actually allows me to test out things before I work with a model.

So no.. I wouldn't buy another type of doll.

    9. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
So far I have only bought females, but I think it'd because I can relate to the more than to male dolls

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
I am actually consider it right now to buy a maledoll, but i dont want to decied that until I get home another doll first

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you? Again, it mostly because I can relate to female ones more.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Yeah, I have in mind to buy a fleeple60 girl Luka someday soon.

    10. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
      As of now, I'm mostly attracted to male dolls, but whenever there is a beautiful female doll that catches my eye she would be most welcome to join the family ;w;

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
Yes, I consider buying the opposite gender ~ it would be lonely without a flower around the garden XD

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
Guilty as ever over the sexy sculpts and faces yes.. which is why my tastes are more tuned to males

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
If the features suit the doll then why not? :D its fun to experiment

    11. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
I only buy male dolls but I was really only going to have one doll only anyway and because of a past issue, I have another male doll. (Not that *he's* unwanted. ;w; )

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
No, I never wanted nor was ever interested in buying a girl doll even if I never planned to stick to only one.

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
Yes. :P And I only like the manly ones. XD None of those unidentifiable gender ones. But that's not the only reason. I love dressing up a good looking guy. If I wanted to dress up a girl, I would just spend the money on real clothes. :P

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Only if it suits the character planned.

    12. All the dolls I currently have planned to buy are male. No particular reason, aside from that most of my favorite characters of my own creation are male, so...

Would I buy a female doll? Sure, if I find the right one. It's hard to find a nice balance in between adorable child and femme vixen though, IMHO. I have a couple ideas in mind for what I'd do with a female doll, but, shes pretty far down my list.

    13. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
i like both, it really depends on the doll i think

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
i like both, nt just one over the other, i supposed if i were to buy more i'd like them to be balanced

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
      no

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?

i don't see why not, i'd buy a male head for a more masculine looking female character from the RPG i play, or a female looking one say for a girly looking male character [i have some very feminine looking male elves i play, and masculine looking half elf women and vampires]

    14. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
yes, i find female dolls more appealing and clothes are more fun

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
only if its a male dollfie dream or a specific character model, i may consider that but otherwise i dont particularly like the look of male dolls or find them appealing

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
it does, when it comes down to it..girls are pretty, i prefer more mature dolls and i see the beauty in them like you would see a beautiful woman.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
      no

    15. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
Yes. I only buy male dolls.
If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
I don't think so. I'm a straight women and like hot guys only, lol.
Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
      Yes.
Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
No... I personally don't like one head having multiple body or vice versa. It seems so... creepy I guess??

    16. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
At the moment im only interested in male dolls even though I have a girl I love my boys much more :p.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
I have looked at a few females I like enough to buy but I probably wont buy one at least for awhile

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
      In a sense.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
      Yeah most likely :D

    17. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
;w; No, I like both. But that being said, I do plan on having more boys than girls. I generally tend to be more attached to my male characters, and my most favorite of my characters I want as dolls. But that being said, my few favorite female characters that I have I will certainly be getting as dolls as well.

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
      N/A

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
;v; Hmm, I don't think so. If you mean when a doll is shown as only one specific sex am I more inclined to like it just because of that? Then no, because I honestly can see the majority of sculpts as being either sex and they don't appeal to me just because they are portrayed as one specifically. Its the face I either like or dislike, not because it is suposed to be male/female.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
      Absolutely! ^v^
I plan on doing that for a few of my future dolls. Again, I think that most sculpts can be either male or female in my interpretation, so it doesn't bother me at all to put a boy head on a girl body or a girl head on a boy body.

    18.
    19. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?

For now yes. I ordered only boys

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?

Yes, i'd like to. And to make a boy out of her )))

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?

      Yes ofcause.

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?

I'd like to. But i'm not original in it. Many people before me used SOOM Amber or Dia heads on male bodies.

    20. Do you only buy one sex of doll? Why do/don't you?
I buy both girls and boys, I like the diversity

If you do, would you consider ever buying the opposite gender of doll?
      already did

Does the sex of a doll make them more appealing to you?
well, as long as the company offers the option of swapping bodies it doesn't really matter

Would you ever buy a head of the opposite sex to use on the doll (maybe because it looks like the opposite gender)?
Already done that, Dayreth is a Resinsoul Ju on a male body, he is based of a very feminine male character, I have already picked a male head to go on a female body for a future character too
