1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

PashaPasha Dolls *BrEaTh & PuLsE* discussion

Jan 3, 2017

    1. Fingers crossed for a quick trip through customs and the fees aren't too bad! She will be worth it whatever happens!

    2. Super!!! super! I wait for a photo sooo much !

    3. Well she has arrived and customs was not too bad at all, the shoes and clothing I ordered have also arrived so will try and take some photos but seems the flu bug has finally got its claws into me and it is a real effort to do anything.

    4. Did anyone see Pasha’s post on Instagram about offering her mini Pasha girls next Thursday?!? I’m so so tempted, but I was hoping the smaller girls would at least be a tad cheaper...ugh, $900. Where is the money tree when I need it? Hope she offers layaway this round *crosses fingers*

    5. Yes I saw that and thought the same about the price!
I would love a mini size doll but not sure I would choose one over the larger size as they cost the same.

    6. Exactly! Hmmmmm.....

    7. Judging by the price her eBay girl went for, I wouldn't be surprised if the prices go up for the full size one. Her dolls are becoming more and more in demand.

    8. Good. I heard about these dolls through StellaMarigold, and have been lurking on this thread and obsessing around the web site. I'd finally been convincing myself that I would go for one on the next preorder. But if she jacks up the price, I'll be safe!

    9. I'm glad I got you interested in them, @dollhausen!

Personally, I'm waiting for the SD size preorder (although even then, I don't know if I'll be able to afford it unless I can start making money with dolls - they've got to earn their keep!). I like the MSD size, but I think it is just a tiiiny bit too small to work with the wonderful aGatti dolls (in my opinion, the best MSD mature males out there), so I will pass on this current preorder.

I hope the price for the SD size doesn't go up, but I can attest from my embroidery work that making something smaller doesn't necessarily mean it is easier to make. In fact, downsizing is more difficult than upsizing! You don't need the same quantity of materials for a smaller item, but when it comes to working with tiny little details, careful sanding of tiny fingers, making molds, etc. I think smaller would be just as time-consuming as the larger size. So maybe the same price doesn't indicate that the SD size will be more expensive - it may just mean that both sizes are equally demanding to make.

Edited to add: As I understand it, her fullset dolls (like the one sold on Ebay) have always been much more expensive than the blank dolls (and rightly so!) so I wouldn't necessarily anticipate a price change for the SD size from ebay prices. But you may be right about the increase in demand ultimately raising the prices!

    10. I don't know why the price would go up. Her full set girls have always gone for around 2-4k. And I don't know that demand has increased all the much either--her second pre-order a year ago sold out in about 20 minutes.

I got my girl in last month and I can tell you she is worth every one of those 900$... She's just a fucking work of art.

    11. absolutely agree! they're amazing! This art doll with its own recognizable style! and I need a mini and another one of the usual size .... but the price of course bites ....

    12. Good luck with that. My attempt at a dolly housecleaning service ended in total failure. They're too lazy to sweep or mop. They pretty much lay around asking me to get them expensive clothing and shoes. Ugh, and fancy wigs. But when I get mad, I look at them and they're so cute that I cave in to their desires.
And yes, Kerri, that price bites. Sigh...

    13. LOL! Well, I'm afraid I'm one of the many who justify doll purchases with "but I can make clothes to sell!"

I really DO want to try making some doll clothes, though! I have hand-sewed various items for years - that must count for something! Plus I used to really enjoy making clay miniature desserts and so on. Part of the reason why I wanted dolls was so I would have a reason to make miniature books, jewelry, food, etc.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :XD:

(Edited to add: sorry that was all off-topic! I'll try to say something about the Pasha dolls next time!)

    14. Yes, that's a familiar refrain around here. When I started out, I made coffins for my dolls. But have run out of steam on that one. Now I just throw money at them. One of the things I like about Pasha dolls is the nice clothing she makes. She's got style. If she's doing a mini preorder now I wonder if that means it's going to be a long time until she does another for the larger dolls....

    15. Coffins? That's sounds like fun! I love a lot of the Pasha clothing as well, especially the clothes made from hard to handle materials - she was selling a really nice leather jacket, for example. I also like the fact you can buy things like gloves and shoes on Shapeways and customize them. That's a really nice idea, and I hope she continues to add items to her account there.

    16. The last pre-order (#4) for the big girls was September. I believe most of that batch are now at Pasha’s being prepared for shipping - I know because I’m checking my email constantly hoping my girl has shipped - so that’s 5 months. I would guess the next large girl pre-order will be July/August-ish.

    17. Did anyone try for a mini? I was on the page when the clock timer went live, but the doll kept saying sold out. I just tried now and it went through, so if u were trying an hour ago like me with no luck, please go back now and try again.
