@krystina I sent my Kasspio to Hearts_Murmur and am very excited!!!

 

I had to look the artist up, she or he does amazing work! I'm going to have to watch!

 

Sooo I wrote this on the waiting room thread too but I figure why not expand to this thread too haha

So my Keith and Kass Heads Arrived today! I'm Happy and annoyed at the same time. as much as I love peakswood's I have two complaints. 1 - Can they Pleeeeaaassseee either downsize the boxes they use or put more packaging inside. When I opened my box up there was packaging but there was a whole side without it :/ really I mean its surely not that expensive to just put some extra bubble wrap in there? or if not bubble wrap then newspaper for crying out loud *sighs*

My 2nd issue is that, has anyone else noticed that the Keith and Kass heads are exactly the same except one has smaller eyes and less of an eye lid? I mean I knew the two were similar... but this is to the point where they were probably the same sculpt at one point and someone just edited the eyes a bit. :/

I don't know Maybe I'm just too picky but at the same time for $150 per head, I think its allowed. Oh well either way there still perfect for my characters I'm gonna make them into. However I would like to state that I hate parcel force with all my being, they make me pay a custom fee for £28 (including their admin fee of like £13 something), which isn't bad, but then they bring the box to my door with a hole in the side... yeah me and them are gonna be having words.

 

Has anyone tried JID boy shoes on their Dandy boy? I need a pair of brown boots. I know the Dollheart ones fit, but there is no longer a Web site available for them

 

This is kind of upsetting to me! I didn't realize they were so similar. I have kasspio and am waiting on a full set Keith and I wanted my Tristan/Kasspio/Keith trouple to each look very different. At least they'll all have different skin and hair colors! Oh, and kasspio has fangs, so that should help.

 

First, congrats on your arrivals! (Sorry late response, this Discussion board got lost on me). I think you are right about the heads being the same sculpt but with different eye-shapes. I got Keith and Kass mixed up a bunch of times until I really looked at them IRL.
I know some companies will do that though- Kdoll's older sculpts come to mind.

I got a chance to look at Kasspio and Keith side by side at the PNW BJD Expo. See pics here.
With their fangs, Kasspio looks completely different from Keith (both beast and normal version).

Thank you Miri He is a Dandy Bella, faced-up by Nornen. I got him in the first round of Dandy releases. I love him to bits!

 

Thanks for the answer, I think this wig and faceup really brings out the best in the Bella sculpt! So cute.

Much agreed! I asked them to do a more nude lip as I love nude, natural and not so dark lips on boys (you seem to have similar taste judging by your profile pic~ I your Venitu)

Just realised I forgot to actually post pictures of my boys, On the Left is Azul (Kass) and Right is Miguel (Keith) Please ignore Azul's body being a different tone to his head, he was borrowing the body from one of my more yellowed dolls so I could take a decent picture of his head haha. There supposed to be brothers, but unfortunately due to the sculpt being so similar they look like twins, *sighs* though technically Azuls supposed to be a few years older than Miguel. Oh well I suppose.

Still not completely satisfied with Azul's face up either, will probably re do it eventually once I can be bothered and the weathers good lol

Haha~ Thanks everyone! Now all I have to do is save up and get them both proper bodies, which might take a while but hey, I'm good at waiting LOL

 

Keith the Beast showed up today! He shipped quickly and his faceup is the most fine detailed I've ever received, it's very intricate and gives him a wonderful expression. The Urban Brown skin is simply amazing!! I posed him with my NS Tristan to enhance the contrast of the skin tones.

 

congrats on your Beast @faireva I haven't seen one yet, he does look like he has lots of detail!!

 

@Ravenwolf - Thank you! Yes, he just arrived yesterday! I'm thinking of naming him Maurice.

 

Congratulations faireva he is just amazing! I love his faceup very much, and are those blonde eyelashes? They go so well with the urban brown skin. He is so cool and I love his name! Maurice the Beast It has a nice ring to it
