Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Peak's Woods Mini Discussion Thread

1. I'm pretty sure Dotty is a basic too! Its only the special skin that's limited :)

And I'm with Serein, a romantic version of her would be soo cute...

2. dotworkdoll I agree with Cydril, it's just the special release that's limited to two weeks. The basic version will still be available afterward, like the rest of the FoB sculpts. The special version is just like a build-your-own fullset. :)

3. You guys think is possible they do another special skin event? That lavender-pink skin is gorgerouls!

4. After this event? Who knows! But both the lavender-pink skin and suntan skin are currently available for the special release version of Dotty Muse! :)

5. designedforsmiles yes, I was hoping later. I do like Dotty Muse but I'm joining money for another doll also with special skin lol so for the good of surviving I would prefer to order later. I guess gonna have to find out : )

6. Ahh, budgeting is always a problem this time of year, isn't it? Especially since so many companies are prone to doing Halloween events, Christmas Events, and sometimes New Year events and Valentine's events, too! My bank account is really afraid of what lies ahead!

7. I know right! I have looked Peakswood and other company news board to see when they release events XD I didn't knew there is Valentine events as well XD I just hope I make enough money XD

8. Please tell me some other people here are interested in them redoing their boy's body and releasing some boys? Because as popular as Dandy seems to be, I think this whole redesign process could use that, and it would make them just that much more popular. I honestly would probably end up ordering two or three at once if they make any of the SD heads in MSD size, because Tristan and Kass were basically killing me not to order and try and tell myself that MSD sized boys would be coming soon enough ;,;

All the girls are looking awesome either way, the new body and aesthetic is the next level for them, and I can't wait to see the girls they have so far released come home.

9. I would love see some boy dolls of this size, they do make beautiful sculpts and would be nice to see what they do with boys as well. Considering the girls have mature body, the boys should have as well and is always nice more mature 1/4 sculpts. I think the best is message them asking so they know there's interest and possible work on this on the future.

10. Who knows?? But yeah, I would be very interested in a new MSD boy body! I really like Punky Beetle as a boy, but FoB versions of Tristan and Kass would be amazing! :D

On their Facebook, Peak's Woods did hint that they were planning on the possibility of Dandies in lavender-pink before the end of the year! I feel like if they were going to release a new FoB boy body, they would announce it around the same time.

Is anyone else having trouble logging into the Peak's Woods website, by the way? :/ I'm trying to place an order for a special Dotty Muse but I keep getting error messages even though my information hasn't changed since my last order. I'm e-mailing them now, just wondering if anyone else has come across the same issue.

11. All the lavender-pink, I hope they release more it would be great. I'm already imagining a doll with this skin and the rosy brown I want to get from withdoll, they would be a great combination.

12. ahhh, I need to be convinced I don't need a Dotty! I already have a pink-lavender Romantic Lady Bee on layaway but I keep going back to stare at the special Dotty and wavering. I just did a small downsize of my collection though and it's like my finger is twitching over the buy button! :XD:

13. I think I'm becoming a full on Peakswoods addict. I've been checking there site about 4 times a day just to look at the pretty dollies. Hopefully it will get better when my Lady Bee arrives.
CuriousRaven I am not the one to discourage you as I need someone to tell me the same. I think she is lovely. I keep wondering what she would look like in Suntan skin.

14. *whispers* They have a really awesome layaway program ;)

15. I'm feeling you, CuriousRaven! I look around my doll room and wonder how they got to be so many, and then I look at PayPal and feel guilty. I'm at the point in my collection that I'm running out of surfaces for them to sit or stand on. I think it's time for me start admitting to myself that I really am not going to finish out some of the plans I had for my dolls no matter how far "someday" is and start whittling down for the ones who will really stay in my heart.

I'm trying to give Dotty Muse a few days to see if the initial lovestruck feeling will pass or not, but my brain is already cooking up her style based on the lavender-pink color and her personality based on the special faceup... if a name pops out, there may be no turning back!

16. karleecakes: right?! I keep going back and forth between the suntan and the lavender-pink... the suntan is probably really lovely but those pics of her in the lavender-pink are gorgeous. but then I have a lavender-pink girl on layaway already...

Serein: shhh! I already have one long layaway. I'm waiting to see if I keep looking at her before pulling the trigger.

designedforsmiles: wow! my collection isn't even close to yours! but then I honestly don't have the space for that many or my buying tendencies would probably be worse. haha I tend to buy dolls that scream to me "lookit! I'm so pretty you want to bring me home!", and then decided once they arrive if they 'click' and are going to stay. my big PW girl is one of my absolute fave dolls although msd and smaller are my fave size so I was excited when they revamped the FOB bodies.

I really am loving Dotty's wide eyes. I'm such a sucker for a pretty girl. *sigh*

17. I hear you, CuriousRaven, I already have a Romantic Mia in Lavender-pink skin on a long layaway, and I'm trying to talk myself out of a Dotty in that same skin color. What the heck am I thinking?:doh But I just sold a doll that wasn't working for one of my most beloved characters...and I keep wondering if she'd make a good re-shell of that character...and Peakswoods' layaway program is so awesome...and oh my, why is collecting BJDs so hard!:...(

18. I'm having the same issue. I have a lavender girl on layaway as well and suntan might be a cool way to go. But her pictures are so amazing that I can't see her in any other skin color. Dollies Dilemma!

19. CuriousRaven I am exaggerating a little bit; it's just that my craft room isn't as big as I'd like it to be and most of the surfaces are actually crowded with yarn and fabric. I only have two bookshelves dedicated to dolls and more than half that space is crowded with their clothes and accessories and random furniture, so the solution for more dolls is really to get more shelves! And a bigger craft room! And a bigger house!

I definitely hear Dotty Muse tempting me! And that lavender-pink looks so stunning in the photo of the special version I'm sure I'll get that color if I'm able to order. I have a suntan FoC girl in processing so I'm good on that front! I just love Dotty's smile~ Her lips do remind me a bit of Hunky Dory, but they're scaled down such that I don't think they're overwhelmingly huge, and the upturned corners are the clincher for me. I love dolls with a smile in their sculpt, and the teeth are a bonus!
PoeticSoul I totally agree! Collecting BJDs is soooo difficult! :pout: Especially since DollZone just released an event and FairyLand is gearing up for theirs in a couple of weeks, too! How can we be forced to decide?! And who knows what's coming up for Christmas??

20. As much as I'm tempted by Dotty Muse, I had to realize one lavender pink girl will be enough for my crew. Having purchased my Romantic Mia in that color will just have to be enough for me.:) I'll have to take heart in seeing them in this thread instead. It's so difficult keeping those dolly numbers down in my collection because Peakswoods is always tempting me!
