1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Peak's Woods Mini Discussion Thread

    1. Thanks, it’s the FOB info I needed. I think I mentioned I have 4 FOC’s and know their info. It’s hard to see the FOC’s go, but I hope to find good homes.

    2. Haven't taken higher quality photo yet, but here's a quick one of my Mia:

      Mia

      She arrived yesterday.
8 years old, her blue-grey resin has definitely yellowed (evenly), and turned into a minty-grey. Very pretty nonetheless. Faceup in excellent condition.

Kinda wanting more FoB dolls now... lol

    3. Ooh, @miffimifster, she's lovely! The grey yellowed into such a delicate and unique hue. Yellowing aside, she looks in amazing condition. What plans have you got for her? :abambi:

    4. Yes! It's like the resin colour was intended to be minty-grey. It's such an even tone.

Thank you! No plans really though. Just enjoying her cute look.

      More Mia

    5. I made folders for my peakswoods pictures on Flickr, not all are exactly good pictures but I hope people like to browse anyway:
      1/4 girls
      1/3 girls

I own more of the 1/4 ones. Please be aware I adjusted some of the face ups slightly. (I like to enhance the smiles a bit more, peakswoods face ups tend to look a bit sad)

    6. I think this next order might be time for me to get a peaks wood girl! I'm debating between emerald green, moonlight gray, or lavender pink.

I would love to see some more lavender pink girls if anyone has one!

Here's my lavender pink girl :apresent:
Ah, sorry, I didn't realize flickr doesn't let you use bbc anymore. She's in my insta though, there's a link in my signature.

    8. I decided on a lavender pink Kuna the Dark Elf! Put my order in last night and just waiting for a confirmation for a four month layaway!

    9. Hello I just bought a FOB little kuna from denverdoll and I am looking for clothing and shoes that will work for her. Does anyone have suggestions about where to buy them? Thank you for your suggestions!!!

    10. @Reslie congrats! Most standard msd tops will fit, as well as standard msd pants. I’d only recommend to double check sellers dolls measurements on Etsy for pants and bottoms because PW girls really are a bit thicker on the bottom half. Minifee shirts can fit a lot of the time but will look much smaller on PW girls because their busts are bigger and their arms and torso longer/lankier. I’ve had all around good luck with Dollmore clothing as well.

    11. Ah, I've been having a tough time connecting with my Romi. I've acquired a few other new dolls who've won my heart instantly, and I just haven't made the same kind of connection with my Romi. I'll be turning my focus to my other dollies for the time being.

      edit for brevity!

    12. Here are some pictures of her! I tried a number of different wigs and eyes, and these photos ended up being the ones I liked best.

    13. @hollyholly sorry you’re having a hard time bonding with your Romi. She is a sculpt you don’t see very often but one I’ve always liked. Yours has a lovely ghostly air to her. I hope you find her “look” maybe you’ll bond a little better with her once it clicks. I really like the outfit you picked out for her. My v. Dotty Muse is actually wearing a very similar jacket at the moment :XD: I think the dark brown hair and headband look great too!

    14. Speaking of my V. Dotty Muse I’m not sure if I have ever shared her on here before! It can be such a quiet thread that it sometimes slips my mind. I love seeing everyone’s beautiful PW dolls though. I hope they make some FOB boys one day.

    15. I can understand the disappointment but sometimes it just takes the right look to make a doll click for you. I think she has a lovely and unique look which might make it challenging to settle on a look. I personally like her in the warmer colors.

I've also run into situations where I already had a look in mind but realized after they arrived that it just didn't work. Took me awhile to give up on my original idea

    16. I appreciate the encouraging words! The most challenging thing about this hobby is how patient one must be. I've been considering some new "personalities" of dress that may work better for her than my initial plan. I'm optimistic! And feeling all excited about pulling her new look together, haha. Thank you both!! <3:)

    17. @hollyholly Yes, Romi has a mysterious air about her. Maybe she's into reading or painting or dance or music. Maybe she's in a band.
Since I don't know what your initial impression of her was....
Ah! How about trying glamour days of the past? Possibly flapper era through old Hollywood. (I could see at a microphone. Or even being that dame that walked in and ends up breaking a detective's heart.) Expand from there?
But, I guess she could also wear overly simple timeless fashion type. Meanwhile, she could talk philosophy all night long.

    18. @tinyflame I've determined that a very short bob - flapperesque! - is a daring, cute look on her. My ideas are much in line with yours - I'm getting to know her better and better. She's got a lot of glam. My original ideas for her were very scrappy and boyish - totally wrong!! She's got some real feminine mystique going on. She'll come together, I know it. ;)

    19. I think one of the things that makes the hobby both wonderful and challenging is that each doll (even when the sculpt is the same) can be so unique. At one point, I fell in love with someone's vampire Tristan doll because of how angelic it looked. I ended up buying my own but due to slight differences in the resin color & makeup. However, the angelic look didn't work for her at all! At first, I was a bit disappointed but she turned out to be a wonderful dark angel

    20. I can't believe how quickly my Kuna has been shipped! I only paid off her Layaway just over a week ago. So excited to see her
