1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Pets and BJDs - Positive and Negative Encounters

Dec 18, 2012

    1. I'm actually a little worried about it. I'm currently waiting for my first dolls. I have a bird (green-cheek conure) and a dog. My bird might be to afraid to come near them, but my dog is extremely curious and he's eaten a wig before.

    2. I usually keep my dolls in my room out of reach of my dog.
I did take some photos on the floor the other day and there was immediate interest (does she smell a lot I wonder...). But he did go back to his bed after I pushed his face away a few times.
He's pretty ok with not grabbing something I've told him to leave though.

    3. I got back into wig making, and my kitten realized it was made of string! She was morally obligated to steal it and drag it to her lair. I was horrified as there was still a needle in the wig. Thankfully she lost interest and neither kitten nor wig were harmed.

    4. My Minifee Soony back from AngelToast and in the same day she arrived home, my cat knocked her down on the counter and the sealant on her nose chipped! :horror: Kitties are getting more and more curious about the dollies :(

    5. Thankfully my room is pet-free save but my guinea pigs—but my roommate’s puppy was VERY opinionated when I was taking photos of my Minifee in the living room today. He barked whenever I held her and positioned her. I think he wanted her down lower to sniff and investigate, but no way was I taking that risk. :sweat

    6. The good: my cats had fun with the scraps leftover from my backdrop project.

The bad: Kitten deciding a Volks limited item is a toy.

The salvageable: She was content with me replacing the Volks piece with a catnip mouse.
