Pets for your BJDs / finding or making one

Annabel You might beable to find one on a Vet stuff web site they have dog stautes that are pretty big

 

My daughter's doll Ed owns a goat named Menace. We took her to the American Girl store here in Dallas and the only thing she wanted was that goat!

 

A goat? That is fantastic! Any pics of Menace?

My dolls don't really have pets, but they do have Zuzu Delfs as guardians, does that count? Haha~

While the American Girl stuff looks very fake, I plan on getting some for my little Isobel.

 

There are some large-ish girl dolls at Target, SD in height but with soft bodies like German dolls, and they have horses they can ride, so I've wondered if one of those horses would work for a bjd. They also have other pets, I think. I do like the animal bjds, but I wonder if they're actually too big to be realistic. Hujoo has a great fennec fox, but since fennecs are one of the world's smallest canines, I think she'd be too big in scale for an SD sized doll.

 

Due to the intricate and realistic appearance of BJDs, I find it incredibly difficult to purchase realistic looking (and articulated) pets for them. I'm looking for a large, white dog, proportionate with MSDs and fully jointed, with fur. Anybody know of some venues where I could acquire one, or something similar?

 

I would really love to find an SD sized but actually realistic wolf, boarhounds, falcons, chickens or geese, and a few sheep and lambs for my medieval characters.

 

The Pomeranian looking dog is so pretty Moonxtal. Did you make it or buy it? If you bought it may I ask where?

 

You know if you guys want articulated pets for your BJD's Obitsu has a line of dog's listed for a decent price and won't break the bank. Really customizable too I've seen pics of them being made to look like demon dogs, regular dogs....And they got great posing abilities too.

I'm gonna get one eventually for my dolls. (1/6thers and my MSD...When she gets here.)

 

My El Adriel has a dragon named Purr. He was this little rubber dragon that can bend and twist with cute big eyes I got at a Ren fair a few years ago. My Leekworld Mikahaila Zoey Has a My generations Horse (Still needs some work) I found at the good will for 3.00 His name is Buddy after my old horse that passed away.

 

Thread-o-mancing for more dolly pets! And, more particularly, places to find them ... I know of evethecat and Souldoll Gray who seems to be a large dog for MSD? Does anyone happen to know of SD scale bigger dogs?

I don't have any special pet for my BJD but I'm going to have a DF-A Fox from the summer events. I don't know if it can count as my doll's pet

 

I'd love to have a realistic, ball-jointed rat as a pet for my doll (I own 6 pet rats myself), but I don't think such thing exists

 

Maybe I'll get my hand on aileen's dragon, need to save up
