Pets for your BJDs / finding or making one

I would love for my dolls to have pets, but I prefer ultra realistic dolls and props. I have been having a hard time finding them the right size (I have 1/3 scale dolls) Any suggestions?

 

I have a My Generation horse and an American Girl horse, a drabbit(dragon puppet), and a pencil hugging koala that are all the perfect size for MSDs.

 

As I'm a tiny BJD lover, I have plenty of Schleich figures as pets for my BJD. Depending of animals, they are perfect for Pukipuki and/or Pukifee.

 

I personally prefer to have a jointed pet for my dolls. The dolls are poseable, after all, so I feel having the pets frozen into a single position makes them look like toys compared to the dolls.

I've always wanted some "pet" BJDs for my dolls, but in spite of having found a couple, they've largely just been pushed aside as I work on other plans; I've finally purchased one, however (an Aileendolls Pico Dragon Violet), might grab another (another limited Aileendolls dragon), and might have finally started the descent into ordering up all kinds of pets (as long as I can find ones I aesthetically like)!

 

there's some cool tutorials for fur covered art dolls with wire skeletons. They are pose-able! wow! I want to try making one that's a husky. or something.

 

One of my dolls could use some more character development, so I'm thinking of getting him a pet to make him more "interesting" to me. I'm actually thinking of getting an anthropomorphic pet instead of a traditionally realistic bjd pet!

 

before I bought my bjd I bought a boo plush (Mini size, famous dog) and he suits really well with my MSD, so this plush is no longer mine as such but my MSD's pet

 

back when I had 1/6 dolls I had a horse for them, but now I have 1/4... I'll have to look around for something in the right scale, cause I'd love for them to have a horse too

 

I have a deer plush toy I plan to give to my doll as a "welcome home gift" when he arrives to me. Because he's an elf, I think a woodland deer is suitable.

 

For pet I prefer to hunt them in my local store, I'm sure I've seen some cute little creatures there XD

 

Pets for BJDs, what an awesome idea!! I'd want a pomeranian, any ideas on where to get one that will fit an SD sized doll? Then again, poms are pretty small by nature, so getting a small one wouldn't be too far off the mark, would it? Anyone has any suggestions on getting a pomeranian, preferably poseable/BJD? I know there are cat BJDs out there for pets, but I can't remember which company sells it, so it would be great if someone could enlighten me

Their characters love animals so I'm almost always including the pets on the photos. The cat and dog plushies are from the Burger King kid's meal I got a few years ago (I only bought the kids meals for the toys hehe). The blue spiky dog and pink unicorn figurines are from Tokidoki (my favorite company for cute toys).

 

Even my Pet have a Pet Friend. It's an AS Panda and with his little Friend Choco :3
I bought the Panda and also I still had at home Choco just never didn't know how to use it XD


My incoming Doll will get a Pet too, don't have a name yet and it is still waiting by protecting and checking the things it's Owner will get XD
and maybe trying to dress those things on. o.O I got the Pet on Christmas as Gift from my Husband because I wished for it, but I realize
it would really fits to my incoming Doll so I decided to give it to him when he arrive.

 

I'd love to have a bunch of cute scale pets, but price could be a problem.

 

I collect those little alpaca plushies with the hats and scarves. They look so cute next to one of my dolls that now I've decided that she's an alpaca rancher!...which just gives me an excuse to buy more alpacasso!

I love the look of jointed pet dolls but I've always loved plush toys so most of my dolls have those as companions. They're just so squishy and cute. :3

 

My good friend just got these resin hamsters that have magnets so you can stick them on a shoulder or head and they are so cute, I'm looking into getting a ferret one, I saw them on taobao

 

I really would like a pet for my girl, but will probably make her one. Her character has a pet Newfoundland.

 

Im not sure about pets...
Besides the dragons I see everything as the same.
Any good company?

 

I'm obsessed with Schnauzers. I found a family of four stuffed ones perfect for my girls, who are all 26 cm-ish. If I find more, they might end up with a Schnauzer rescue!
