Pets for your BJDs / finding or making one

that's AMAZING

i'm making a character of mine who always carries an overweight pug dog under his arm, but it looks like it'll be impossible to find something made of solid material that would be the right size for it to look right.

i guess i'll have to find a plush toy on ebay or something.

i like seeing pics of BJDs with their pet horses.

 

Only one of my dolls has pets xD Since she's rather small (16cm) I managed to get her quite a collection from Kinder Surprise eggs xD
She has some lobstercreep, an evil croc, a second cute croc and I'm still collecting

 

My little tiny on the way will have a stuffed whale almost his size as a pet, because I found it in my room and thought it was adorable. His name will be Whaley the whale, because little kids are never original :p
Since he's a demon, he could use magic powers to make it a REAL whale if he wanted to, sooo that's kind of a pet :'D

 

You could commission someone to make you a felted plushie! Might take a little while to save up for, but it'd be exactly what you ordered.

 

I have just bought my first doll from Doll Zone. He's one his way. I'm just going to make him his pet. Ya I know dolls not even here yet and I'm making him stuff. I got a pattern from Fabricland in their Vogue book to make my doll an English riding outfit and his own horse. Its just too cute. Can't wait till he gets here.

 

I don't have a dolly yet. But i already have some perfect pets for her.
Their little digimons and pokemons that would be just the right size for a msd.

Well, I went to greece, and they always sell little cats and dogs made of rabbit hair.
I bought one, its like.. 2½ inch?

Has anyone tried an Obitsu The Dog body as a pet for a BJD? They are only 1/6 scale but might be okay as a small dog breed for a Yo-SD or MSD, and they look fab. Great articulation. There's a gorgeous flickr album I saw where an owner had covered hers with a skin to make it look like a black lab. I'm thinking of buying one, but I'd love to hear thoughts, or see one alongside a BJD.

 

These are not strictly on-topic for DoA, but I wanted a realistic (for a BJD) pet for my dolls and these Camellia Dynasty Wong cats pose like a cat would, which was perfect for what I wanted. They look fine and in-scale beside SD-size dolls and look slightly larger than average cat-size when beside MSDs.

 

My girls have a needle felted cat and dog that I had made for me.

They also have a more exotic Cheetah and Suger Glider fully posable and again needle felted.

 

I've been trying to find pets for my boys, but I couldn't yet.
I don't think I like the idea of getting an anthro. What I'd really like is a more realistic pet. I loved the Petdolls I saw pictures of, but I never found them for sale
Guess I'll just keep looking... maybe for a non-bjd pet.

 

My MNF has a Min Pin, from the Nintendogs toy line, named Faustus. He's just the right scale, knowing how my aunt's Min Pin looks when I hold him.

 

For Christmas, my family got me an elephant (one of those electronic guys, so he trumpets and whatnot) for a doll I'm planning on getting. It'll be the size of a baby elephant next to him, and I'm still working on coming up with a name for it...

(long story short, it makes sense for Mo to have an elephant-- well... sometimes it makes sense. It makes as much sense as anything else, since he sort of exists through a bunch of historical periods... Anyway, now I have his elephant, I just need the doll himself.)

I also have a couple tiny cats that are the right size to curl up on a dollie lap.

Hey I read some other threads about pets but did not find one specifying posing ability. Soooo..... here one is! What pose-able pets have you found that are a good scale for your doll - any size doll? Where did you find them? A picture or link to picture would be cool too! Somehow I cannot bring myself to give my dolls a pet that is not pose-able like them! No anthros as pets please!

This thread is not going towards poseable, more towards any pets. I was not looking for just scale pets...

 

Isnt there a BJD dog somewhere? From what I remember it was a good proportion size for SDs. I dont know where I saw it though.

There HAS to be a realistic Shiba Inu dog SOMEWHERE that fits scale to an SD.
