Playing Favorites

..well my first is in canada, and my second is up for sale, my third that i got with my second i adore XD

 

I do! But then my favorite changes every so often, so I just figure they all get around the same attention! But my Shiwoo boy and my BC girl are my absolute favorites! It's too hard to choose between them! But I adore my other two! (Lati Yellows).

 

I only have one doll right now but I used to be scared that would happen before I had any dolls as I decided quite early on to have two. I don't really think I'll have a problem with that. I might of if I got my dream doll first then another doll but I've done it the other way around so I've bonded and had the 'First doll' experiance with another girl. We already have a relationship that is tender and couldn't be ditched.
I think maybe if I had a third doll it would be more awkard dividing time between them but I'm sure I wouldn't have a favourtie.

 

I don't have favorites - but they do play different roles in my affections.

Luke - Has a special place as being my first BJD and also my first international delivery package (oh how my mother and housemates have since gotten used to purchases and swap packages winging their way in from all over the world.) Also I really appreciate Luke as a piece of art work and his creator, Blood, as a sculptor. But he is also my dear little man, the one most likely to sit on my lap while I watch a movie.

Windy - Is my happy little lady, she picks me up when I'm down with her bright smile. Also she is my handy-sized traveling companion and the most fun to sew for.

 

Like others, I favor some dolls for certain things. At the moment it's about to change, with a major faceup change and on top of that another new doll.

I adore Mittwoch because of his personality and how the doll reflects that - his faceup is 'him' and he has this kinda "let's fight" attitude.

Denzel gets loves because he's a tiny precious thing - I see him as the most doll-like since his avatar is very unlike his character and thus, maybe that makes me like him the least.


Toby is my huge baby cause I love love love the character and I take pride in how I've managed to get him in resin form so accurately; he has many physical flaws on his resin body but even those don't deter me from cooing over him.

Now, my next doll, Erryn.. will undoubtedly reign king. He's been long awaited and I've known him for a long, long time so it's rewarding to know he'll be here. It helps that the doll he's in comes from my most favorite company ever, the one I first saw when getting into the hobby.

 

Each of my dolls has had a time where she/he was favored. By that I mean that I spent the most time with them that week or month.


Overall, my very favorite is Cami--my Ani. I love her more than any doll in the world. She's the one I go to when I'm feeling blue, she's the one I go to when I'm stressed out, she is the one I love to photograph and dress and play with and talk to.

Before I got Cami, my first doll was my favorite doll in the world. Her name's Dawn and she's a Serendipity Alice. She stopped talking so much, so she sits around looking pretty now. I have a big place in my heart for her because she brought me in to this world of dolls and she started me on a healing journey. She's like the dolls I loved as a kid--maybe because I still felt like I was a kid when I got her, but she helped me grow up.

Now that I'm grow-d up (hehe), I need my Cami!
I'll always look super-fondly on Dawnie, though. She's the bestest and I love her.

 

dang right! i try hard not to but just like real people most days i get along with El better than Scorp who is upset she has to stay with me for a little longer (yay dollie sitting!!!)

 

Xiao-Yi or Shelly, my Lati Green Coco, is by far my fave. She was my first. She has also been through the most, and proved to be strong, sturdy, of good balance... I kind of trust her as a doll. I feel like I can take her anywhere and not worry about her. Because of that, she's the one who will come with if only one doll can come.
And dude, she was my first dolly! She's special! ^_^
(I still love my other dolls lots though. And they get more love at the store, since I can't take poor Xiao-Yi to Volks... )

 

Out of all the dolls I currently have, Twig (BC Kumi) gets the most play... because he's my "wee little faerie" and heck, he's just small and portable... I've bought him his own travelling purse to ride in as well.

 

I definitely pick Dav up a lot more, simply because he's so small and light compared to Tig's Souldoll bootay. And I drag him around a lot more for the same reason. But I give both of them [and my poor little Yder head] about the same amount of photo time, and, if I really had to, I'd sell both the CP dolls but could never ever sell Tigris.

I wonder if that even answered the question. XD

 

I play favorites...that's for sure. Yoshi is getting a lot more camera time/play time/all around held time. But then again, he's the one that actually LIKES the attention. So I don't feel guilty. I think Nashi (and eventually Ajit) would rather that I'm squeeing over Yoshi than over them. They get their piece and quiet, and Yoshi gets his spoiling. Everyone's happy

 

Yeah, Hayden is my favourite. Vin's nice, but he's my second doll. No doll can replace the love I have for Hayden as my very first.

 

I actually wouldn't know how to answer this question with a straight answer, so here goes..

Rei, being my dream doll since i stepped into this hobby, does get the most attention and photos, though he's still got some time to catch up to the amount of pictures i have of Heisa.. He is also the most hyped of all my dolls, having the most elaborate and thought-out backstory and all that jazz..

But my other babies get love in different ways. Heisa, being my first, has been through everything with me. He's seen every single box opening of the dolls that have arrived after him.. I don't think anything can replace how special that is.. hehe!

Renji.. He was my first modding job, and i'm so proud of him.. and how he's changed over the time he's been with me. He may not be my favourite(and he knows it, not that he minds), but i do have a special place in my heart for him, that's for sure.

As for Byakuya.. He's a Yder.. The other doll i fell completely in love with and knew I had to own when i stepped into this hobby. Once the vampire elf version was released, i knew that he was just screaming out to me. Plus being my own version of a favourite anime character of mine.. yeah.

And now, on to the newest member of my family and my only girl, Riley. She was my very first impulse buy. I had no grounds to buy her, she was not even in my doll plans, but i could not stop myself from clicking the order button... I never thought i would ever get a Narae, but with Riley now, that's a totally different story. I don't regret getting her one bit, which makes her just that special to me. ^__^

I think i'll stop rambling now.. ahaha!

 

Ohh yeah, and how. XD

My favourite is Scaramouche. Hands down, no competition, and everybody understands that. XD He gets a lot of abuse, and as a character, he takes constant beatings and has to put up with being sat on by pretty much everybody else (sometimes literally XD); but at the end of the day, he's my first, the head of the household, and my favourite.

(He also makes a very nice sofa for tinies at meetups....)

 

Shinji. heh. and they all know it, but my brats dont mind so its all good.

 

How much time I spend with anyone of my dolls depends on mood and what I'm doing--for instance, my girls and 2 mini boys are the ones that I play around with wigs and clothes for. I watch horror movies with Lorry (I'm not sure if he likes them or not, but he's nice to hold on to). I write stories about my SD boys' characters etc. So I guess I don't really have a favorite--I just don't necessarily play with everyone at once.

 

Definately, my mini Lishe is my favourite, I find her enchanting and play with her every day. The others get picked up or changed once or twice a week, poor things.

 

The newest one always gets to be favorite.Otherwise it is a bit seasonal.Sometimes I play with Jiro for a few days and ignore the other two,and somedays I play wiht someone else. :P Also I guess it's easier to take a mini to town.
