1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Pros and Cons of Dollmore Models

Jul 31, 2008

    1. Does anybody have any suggestion on putting a Model head on a shorter body -- around 50 CM? I do like Model body, but I can't keep a doll as tall as 68CM. I only ordered Ipsae head, and now I have to find a shorter body for her.

    2. The biggest thing would be resin matching and you'd have to modify the opening on the head so it would fit on a larger neck as the Model girls have very long, lean necks. However, that being said, the heads are on the small side so would look good on a standard SD sized body in terms of height.

    3. :fangirl: Paulajtm, Thank you so much! I really want to see the comparison for a long time^^. Thank you again:aheartbea

Poptart Thank you for your pretty girl's photo and suggestions.

    4. Hi Gayle,

Thanks for the post. Do you know any specific 50CM girl body that would be good to match a Model doll head, both on resin and proportion? I'm thinking of Iplehouse or CP girl body, but I'll consider other options.

    5. Unfortunately, I really don't. You might write to PamSD as she has a Model and several other SD girls from different manufacturers. She could at least give you a good idea of resin matching.

    6. OK, thanks again for your reply and info!

    7. Well, all I can say is I'm not happy with the dollmore model doll. To much work to get it right. Oh, well back to the drawing board.

    8. To answer Wanya's question -

I've got a floating dollmore head, one of the guys, can't remember his name right now, but when I'm in the mood for HIM, I put his head on a 60cm male body from Fantasy doll. The resin match is fine and the head fits fine. might need a little sanding, but not so much that I'd bother to do it.

    9. My Haneol Moon was a pest in the posing department until mel-mel-chan sueded him. He is SO much better now!

The knee joints are designed terribly, not even really a joint in my opinion. My guy likes to spin his legs around when I carry him so sometimes he looks like he was hit by a car. *laugh*

    10. When you talk about the s hook in the head, do you mean its attached to a resin loop in the head cap? I know my Dollmore Eve girl is like this, and once I finally got the hook unlodged from her headcap, I used an elastic band hooked around the resin loop and the s hook to keep it in place. Made removing the head nice and easy after that.

    11. How fun: I'd name him Dr. Strangelove. ;)
A lot of my dolls earn their names, like Joe Rightfoot, who came to me with two right feet -- certainly better than two left feet. I got a replacement for him and he's fine now -- rides horses, attends conventions, looks after his kids and many female relatives, and manages to slide in on Black Ops when needed.

    12. i reattached the head cap with an elastic, too, because i almost could not get the s hook off of the resin loop in the headcap when i wanted to remove the head. i think that was why she seemed so tightly strung- because the elastics went all the way up to the head cap. i like my models. the thing that bothers me the most is the rotating legs. sometimes my bonnie's leg flips around, especially in skin tight pants! i also have a bella. the bonnie is ws and has a new faceup. bella has original faceup. both girls came to me from other homes.[IMG][IMG]

    13. I unstrung my model doll lisa rubik but am finding it really difficult to re string her,
the elastic they used in her arms is too short and the elastic for the legs is two pieces
of elastic tied together I'm not even sure how to put the s hook back in but
      Is This normal?

    14. thanks everyone this helps a lot, i want to buy a Ha Yarn Cho in the future but wasn't familiar with how Dollmore dolls come out. If anyone has a Ha Yarn Cho could they post a pic?

    15. I'm just not happy with my Model doll and I was surprised to find I couldn't even give her away! Is that usual?!!??!!!

    16. I'm sure you'd find someone to love her on the Marketplace :)

    17. I just put her up for Auction a few minutes ago.

    18. Couldn't even give her away?
Well Ive got my arms open for her if you're thinking of giving her away ;)
Good luck on your auction :)

    19. i put my dia head on bella's body, and i think it worked out well[IMG]

    20. I have a DM Mellow, and she is my travel doll. She poses well and stands without a problem. Left hand has a mind if its own tho(as u can c in last 3 pics)
Drawback: the head cap with the s hook.
Clothes: Dollmore and commisioned, anything that fits her personality(F2BM, MA, AM, AG and others)
      Shoes: Dollmore mostly
I wanted a second head with another face-up it would be 165.00 but it would hard to do so say dollmore.....once I get an idea of what I want, I'll order it for my birthday in Dec.
