Puki contest discussion thread

Well, you have to realize that I doubt very much the winner is going to resell the puki. I know I've been considering getting a third anyways somewhere far down the lane where I can afford it. My only recommendation is to look for contests that are open such as the quiz one on DOD or join BJDI and look at contests there that sometimes happen. Best of luck if you enter those.

 

What makes you think anyone resell their Puki? I would hope that most people who entered did so 'cause they love Pukis and wanted another one to add to their family. Not to resell it.

 

Well, the REAL reason to have this contest is to show off Pukis. To show what they can do, etc... and how cute they are. Otherwise, it would defeat the purpose of the contest, which is to advertise how wonderful and versitile their dolls are! I have a puki hybrid, so I assumed she was not qualified for the contest. And I wouldn't have been able to compete with all the body movements they can do, had I tried.

Boy, tomorrow is the last day to submit.... correction, today! Ooops, I better get to bed! Good luck everyone!!!

Everything looks lovely, and so far there have only been some very minor issues regarding submissions! Good Job Everyone!!!!

I have replied to all entries that have been emailed to me, so if I haven't replied to you, that means I haven't gotten your entry!

I apologize for anything in PMs though, my mailbox got flooded and I haven't had a chance to go through those yet!

... and of course, you're all going to be tortured by the fact that it'll be a couple of days before the voting poll goes up... because I want to shuffle all the pics around, organize them, and make sure I have everything in order... MWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (The poll for public voting will be up Friday... the judges will be looking at the photos sooner than that )

Please take your time to get as organized as you need to get before posting stuff for us to see. I figure you've been swamped with entries and are still receiving some even now! You've been gracious enough to head up this contest so you need make sure all the "T"s have been crossed and the "I"s are dotted before releasing the images to the general public.

 

Is someone gonna make a gallery thread for these or something? XD I'd love to see all the finalists!

Unfortunately I couldn't enter because my puki was ordered three weeks ago today so she's not home yet ^^; Oh well!

I think I'm doomed not to enter. My emails bounced back to me! I've tried again. I must be tired as I think I read the email addy wrong. Duh! Oh well, if this doesn't work, I shall just be satisfied I tried and look forward to seeing all the wonderful entries.

 

Valli: Oh no! You gotta enter! Did you try typing in the e-mail address by hand? Just in case there's any strange formatting going on and messing it up when you copy / paste. Also, how big in filesize are your images? If they're really gigantic, maybe try shrinking them a little bit?

Wee_Little_Faerie: Just sent my entries in. Gonna wait until I get confirmation that you received 'em to really start getting excited!

Valli I looked at the puki contest email addy and I can see your entries, although I'm not going to open them until tomorrow when I'm on the computer that I've been storing all the stuff on Don't worry, they're in in plenty of time, and like I said, if the size is wrong or something, that doesn't mean you're disqualified... I will definately help you until we have any problems fixed!!! (this goes for everyone! XD )

T4124 There are quite a few entries that I haven't checked yet, so I'm sure one is yours... but if it's not, I have documentation here that you tried to enter in time, so I will let you know if I do or don't have yours tomorrow morning, and you can definately still submit them if I don't have them in

Nope, your not too late... people have until I check my email in the morning XD

and like I said earlier, if you post here saying "Egads, I hope they went through" then I'll know you tried in time, even if they don't show up... and I'll count that as being "on time" and work with you to get them to send properly.

I deal with emailing art images all day long, so I know how finicky the whole process can be
