Do Kumako's have a hard time sitting? I bought this cute little couch for my girl, but getting her to sit up is like almost impossible. She just kinda flops over backwards. It's been a long time since I've had a bjd, but I feel like all the other volks girls I had sat up really well!
Mine have a hard time sitting too. The thighs aren’t very stable. In general posing is kind of a fight, which is surprising considering the notches to help keep everything set. I’ve had a lot of different types of BJDs in the past, and though I really like the sculpt, look, and feel of the doll, functionally it’s hard to pose - that said other than the thigh and balancing issues, when I set a pose it does stay. I do have to have them lean back against something though - maybe because they are too heavy for the joints. Even though she is an MSD size, she feels like an SD in weight and handling
Huh.............. Mine is a good sitter I have to say. Posing him is difficult though I can vouch for that. But I don't know why sitting can be a hassle for you guys but not me.
the boys have a torso joint which can help with sitting but the girls (barring the eggs) do not, that being said i can usually get my lala to sit but she does need something behind her to help her stay up. for my kuku to sit i just adjust his torso so hes leaning forward a bit and he usually sits nicely.
Sharing my girl now that I’ve got her face/eyes/hair/outfit sorted out. I have new eyes and a wig coming in that will be her final look, but so far so good. She is sitting and leaning against the wall haha
