I love that the bottom of the bear feet are blushed and can't wait to see her face painted!

I'd be super hesitant to send this much cute away so quickly too, especially with all the postal delays we have these days.
Maybe you can just do her face-up yourself and if you don't love it you can commission someone to redo it?

I haven't followed closely Puyoo doll's latest releases but i think they are no longer offering the dolls with bear parts?

I also don't want to send her away, besides post wait tiimes, it'd be sad to have her headless for a while...I think I need to practice another faceup or two before I tackle this precious face, but I think I should try it at some point~ Though I did color in the toebeans right away with 0 hesitation, it was necessary!

I think their last release for the normal-sized Kumakos was Misako wasn't it?
She's based on a real person and didn't come with the bear parts for obvious reasons.
The Pocket Kumakos and Baby Kumakos don't seem to have bear part options.

Not sure if they have released/are releasing any preorders through their TaoBao though

 

Hmm, since those are all different circumstances, hopefully they'll still come out with bear parts for their normal Kumako line! I love the human body just as much but it's such a cute and unique option Especially since Pocket Kumako don't have joints (or any parts that would be easily swapped, I think).

Though, it seems like they could've made little bear parts for the 1/6 Kumakos...wouldn't that be precious!?

I agree!! I really discovered Puyoo so recently after their last preorder, I wish I could've supported as well...but I am eagerly waiting for next time!!

 

Hello ~ I am fairly new to the BJD hobby and sorry if this has already been asked but does Puyoo doll not sell on their website anymore? I think I saw somewhere that they were only selling their dolls on Taobao now?
Am I correct?

Yes, I think they mainly sell on Taobao now.

They do occasionally open up orders on their site for a limited period for certain dolls. They usually announce it on their Twitter. (The last order period on their site was back in July this year for Baby Kumako.)

I'm not sure if they have resumed international shipping on their site though. They stopped it a long while back due to covid and said they would only ship within Asia. They were supposed to resume international shipping once things got better but... I don't think I've seen any announcements about it. And anyway, China is still under strict covid restrictions so...

 

Puyoo's Twitter announced a new opportunity to order~ It seems like they ran a poll a week ago asking which doll they should re-release, and the results were so close that they'd like to do all of them.

This is exciting since we'll be able to see if they're still offering bear parts, too! The tweet doesn't specify the exact release (it says 14th-21st: Kumako Ruru&Lala, Baby Kumakos / 22nd - 28th Eggs, Kuku&Kaka), so I'm wondering if it's really soon (October dates) or later on (November?)

They did say they'd release more details soon so we'll just have to look forward to that for now~

 

I'm in the same boat, ideally would like a normal 1/4 Kumako and a Baby Kumako (each in tan and with bear parts) but still thinking about it and since we don't have any actual details yet trying to not get my hopes up too high
the cuteness factor says "yes!" but my wallet has other thoughts

I thought it was October immediately but if they still have details to put out there then November seems much more realistic

I can see it both ways - if they're opening them for preorder, there's no real need to push off the order period very far...short of giving folks time to save up I'd totally love if the dates were October! (though, my wallet would not)

I think they aren't releasing anything new this time around though.
While I'm super happy that they decided to open preorders for basically all their sculpts at once, it's very much a challenge to do so so they probably will leave any new releases for next time...but hoping they'll spoil us with both at once
