Ah, nuts. I wouldn't want to go any bigger than a Spiritdoll Proud size. Such a shame. There are some lovely heads out there, but they seem to need those huge (and expensive) big bodies. He might just have been relegated to my sometime-never list, then.
By the looks of their instagram account, it seems like Pygmalion wants to make smaller sized dolls too, iirc! I'm holding out hope....
They have posted a picture of a 1:6 scale male, which looks promising. Only, that's another scale to be out on its own. I suppose he could play with my action figures. I would just love some of the beautiful mature, realistic heads that have been coming out to be 8" and sit well on a standard 70cm body. It would open up options for hybriding. The best ones seem to be just too big. Not a whole, new scale entirely, just too big to be 70cm.
shoot, you're right. i thought it was 1/4 but my memory was off! 1/6 IS pretty small for that sort of detail in a doll... but still, the sculpts are so beautiful i think i'd give it a shot. hopefully they'll make one more like what you're talking about sometime.
Hi, just pop in to say hello with my Pygmalion Robin (normal skin and his next is a SID). Initially I purchased a head only from their website and in fact his resin was rather pink than I expected. Plus it was not easy to find a well matching body for me as their TEIA71 was sold out. In meanwhile he's on an older Iplehouse EID body, which seems to be propotionally matching for him. Hopefully for next I would like to get their HA as he has an open mouth with teeth parts. :-) Besides, they are going to release 1/6 size doll soon, too?!!
@SaikoXIX your boy looks marvelous! Finally have my boy at least 70% done. He just needs some clothes since most of the clothes I have do not fit. I do own the TEIA 71 body. Going through the trail and error phrase for clothes isn't fun at all.
