My poor Eita is still just a floating head... but one of my SD girls let him borrow her body (which is way too small for him tho).. ;__;¨

 

So sad. The 1/3 Hana doll head is only 7-8". I was hoping the head would be 8-9".

@Mahgiep The size of the HANA head is a bit odd- but I guess they decided to make her head slightly smaller in size so that her propertions will seem more realistic. Did you see the photo they posted of her head on a Iple SID body- looks very nice imho :3

Yes I saw it early because Kim TaeGi and I are corresponding. I want his faceup. He said that Hana is an 8" head as opposed to 7" and my girls have smaller IH heads (Nancy and Aria) so I'm thinking this may work!

@KirinO17 Thank you many, many times for these photos!!!
I think SID model body is gorgeous- but the neck is definitely not working with Eita head. The neck of nYId body looks good, right? I was considering this body for my Eita. Do you feel the nYid body is too small for Eita head?

 

@Mahgiep Kim TaeGi is extremely talented- did you end up ordering Hana? :3

 

I am in the process. Of course, I've made it more complicated! Anyway, I definitely have decided to get one head with Kim TaeGi's faceup.

My Eita fits on the Dollshe Arsene body. a bit short at 70cm. But this weekend I tried all 3 pygmalion doll heads on my Loongsoul 73cm body and I really like it. Tall boy but his nSID girlfriend in heels works well. Here are photos of Han, Chen, and Eita. The neck fits quite well. My heads were yellowed with a light green pastel to filter the pink and the body is normal yellow. Loongsoul of course is a great poser and stands well. I'm thinking of getting more of these bodies...

This is a matter of taste and personal feelings. It's weird, but I like Pygmalion Chen on YID, and I don't like Eita on this body. Yes, it seems to me that this is too little a boy. I don’t understand why, because Eita’s facial features are even smaller than Chen’s. However, I am going to try to cut off the neck of the SID.

 

@KirinO17 Yes, I understand what you mean about Eita + YID body. The YID body does not look 'grown up/mature' enough to be a 100% perfect match for Eita. But I still think it's an OK match from your photo- and will look nicer when Eita is wearing clothes and isn't naked^^
I am looking for a short body for my Eita head- as I feel 70cm bodies are too big for me to handle >< This is why I was interested in YID body as it's not too tall. Do you by any chance know of other shorter boy bodies that would work for Eita??

 

@Mahgiep Dollshe Arsene body does seem like a wonderful match for Eita^^ I was hoping to put my Eita on a shorter body (I feel those BIG boy bodies are too large for me to handle)- but it seems difficult to find a shorter body for this head...

I hope you can get your Hana head with face up by Kim TaeGi *fingers crossed for you* :3 I ordered my Hana blank (as I can not afford face up). I'm excited for this head, the design is so realistic looking!

 

@Lotte Rotten Yes, I ordered my head and asked for the face up of the 1/6 head which I adore. My wallet is crying today, but I figured when else will I be able to get his work? I will have to be especially careful of her since I scratch faces pretty easily. I hope my other girls don't look too cartoony next to her realism.

The Arsene body for Eita really works. I got my Arsene secondhand and have another two ordered (so far over a year ago). The body is beautiful, relatively short (69cm), and sturdy and I like the posing I can do with him. He is no where as stable as the Loongsoul body, but almost every head I own (about 12 heads) fits on him! His fiancé is a IH nSID with small bust. In heels, she is almost as tall as he is, so having the taller LS body is better for the characters. He is chaebol (rich business family) and the CEO of a cosmetic company that his fiancé models for. I need to try a sport jacket and jeans (none fit although ordered from Jenna and she can't ship to the US now) to seal the deal with the LS body.

Let me know if you want to see Eita on the Arsene body without clothes. See posts #630 and #635 with clothes.

 

I think you need to look at the body of Dollzone 62. .... or Soom SG?

 

@Mahgiep The face up of the little 1:6 scale Hana is so pretty, I loved that face up too! I can see why you wanted that face up for your Hana head- very kind of Kim TaeGi to paint your head in the same way :3 My favourite face up version was the Yire version and I also liked the regular Hana one. The rest were definitely pretty as well, but I do prefer more natural face ups for my own dolls :3
Like you, I must admit that I'm slightly worried if the realism of Hana will make my other dolls look sort of cartoony ><
Do you already have plans and character sorted out for your Hana? :3
Thanks for the info regarding Eita and the Arsene body. Unfortunately, a 69cm body will be too big for me to handle.

 

@KirinO17 I was looking at this Dollzone body- it's a beautiful design, but I do worry the neck will be too thin? The neck of the DZ body is only 9.3cm, so that may look strange? What body do you use for your Eita btw?

 

@Lotte Rotten if Kim TaeGi said no to the custom face, Yire and Hana would have been my choices, too. I watch kdramas almost exclusively so I love the natural Korean girl look. Most "pretty" girls are villains in the kdramas which is so opposite the US! Took me a while to get used to that.
Kim TaeGi sent me a photo of a 9" head next to Hana. I'm praying that my other 8.5" heads look okay with her. They are smaller IH heads. I need a name for the Hana head so I can refer to her. Sounds like it will be 2-3 months before I get her but yours may be one month. Will you do your own faceup? Can't wait to see what you do/have done!

 

@Mahgiep I didn't know that 'pretty' girls are often villains in the k-dramas, that's interesting to know^^ I do watch k-dramas sometimes (I loved 'Hello my twenties' and 'Live up to your name' on Netflix)^^ You do need a name for your Hana- I'm sure she will tell you her name sooner or later (and I guess it will be a Korean name??)^^
The first time I looked at the photos of the Hana sculpt, the name 'Hiromi' popped up in my head- out of nowhere! That's how I knew I had to order her^^ If I see a doll, and a name pops up in my head like that- well, it means the doll wants me to adopt her/him^^ I will paint my Hana head myself- and the face up will be natural looking :3

Yes, the neck can be thin, I forgot.
My Eita temporarily on Popodoll 68 body. I use a thick rubber (insert), under head. There is no permanent body yet, because he is in Warm Ivory. In search of a suitable body.

 

@Lotte Rotten Kim TaeGi sent me the comparison after I asked him in a DM. But I just posted in Flickr so I'll pop it in in a second. I was going to offer to post it anyway but forgot. The 9" head is not Iplehouse so it's less realistic and my heads are 21cm or 8.4", less than a half inch bigger than the Hana head. I also think my Eun Ji is less realistic than Ha Neul (Eita) her fiance. But they work fine.
BTW, Hana's new name is SooAh.
