And what will warm ivory look like? Is there a comparison of the skintons with some firm? I ordered Robin in this color.
Hello, @KirinO17 -. Here's a link to the official skin tone comparison post; Information on Skin Colors and Production DefectsINFO&FAQ - PYGMALION Sadly we don't have any other dolls to compare with but hopefully as all the orders arrive to their owners we'd see more comparison pictures. Hope that helps!
Yes, I chose this photo It seemed to me that he looked like a normal with a slant in yellow. About the same as that of Switch, Spiritdoll, Popodoll.
I got my Robin (and Ha) in sand beige and the color seems....very dark compared to the photos on the website. Was there a change in resin or just bad monitor to real life difference?
Your photo looks much closer to the real color of sandy beige of the heads I got than the photo which I took posted earlier. This resin seems to photograph very differently depending on lighting conditions. But I think it is a very pretty tan. I think it would be very hard to match it so that is why I did not want to hybrid if at all possible and ordered the body to match.
Yeah it is really gorgeous but I do wish it was a teeny bit lighter. I might just bite the bullet and buy the body or I was planning to do a resin matching service from one of the few companies that offer it (like ringdoll)
@orangetarts Here is an alternative body option that you can buy. This is a body from MA-DOLL. I found few weeks ago that Chinese BJD players normally use this body for Pygmalion head. You can see some example photos in the comment section. The proportion is very good. I'm planning to buy it too after I buy HA head. Hope it helps.
@orangetarts So here are hybrid photos. I think the proportion is really good and resin color looks very similar. But I'm not sure that you need to ask for a specific resin color or not. Spoiler The photo belongs to @我真的是阿北北
I will definitely have to ask one of my chinese speaking friends to help me out if i do decide to go this way ^^ thank you for all the help!
Today I received my Robin. He's so stunning! But head's have some defects... I found the scratch behind the ear and cap of head not adjoins closely, it's dangles. Feels sad I wanted to match him with Dollstown 18yrs body, I have one in Oriental skin. And... Pygmalion head is too much pink in compared with Dollstown. @jack_sea That's exactly what I have too, I was really disappointed the colours were so different I might try getting Robin again in the lightest resin and then blushing. The warm ivory is even peachier than my Fairyland dolls.
@jack_sea I'm so sorry you were disappointed by the resin match ;_ ; Pygmalion Dolls do tend to have darker coloring than most companies. I would think that the white skin head would be a better match. I did consult the artist but that scratch is actually a seam line, and since it's where a wig would normally hide it, we sadly cannot offer an exchange. I really do apologize that we can't do more for you. ; _ ;
*shaking hand* I think you can see companies that casting custom skin, Ringdoll or Loongsoul for example. But I don't know how about proportion match with their body... We all need more different hybrids Sent PM!
atm nothing I have will work to hybrid these 2 heads (sand beige and warm ivory). hopefully in time they'll mellow. worst case, there's always airbrush / spray paint XD comparison2 by lemon orange party, on Flickr[/IMG]
I really didn't know this company and I'm glad to discover it ! The sculptare so beautiful and realistic
Hello everyone, I wanted to let you know that all of your feedback is relayed to the artist and we are taking into consideration every point that you make. We are a very small artist-run operation that is pretty new to the BJD community, so we may have some 'growing pains'. We really appreciate all of your support and constructive feedback. We promise you that we will continuously improve and continue to listen to all our supporters. Thank you so much
