It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Rainmans Flower Elves

Jan 14, 2009

    1. Eb: Sorry on the flower cap. :( Elfdoll is great with replacing damage items. Contact them right away and send photos.

    2. It was my understanding, that she comes with both arms and feet....one pair of shoes and one pair of feet, one pair of normal arms, and one with the leaves...

Thats what was told to me at Idex 2009. :)

    3. :fangirl:My Tulie is here!! I do have to say she is the most cutest and sadest little elf if I ever did see. I almost had a fit when I did not see my Seedling right away, but found her hidden inside the green shredded paper bubbled wrapped like Fort Knox:lol:. I can say Tulie's head cap has some weight to it and so her head wants to tilt forward or backward. I do not know how to get her shoes on and restringing her for her leaf arms is a no way for now. She is just perfect, I need more batteries for my camera:doh. I was so ready to do a box opening when my camera light showed up red instead.

    4. I think she was hoping that the leaf hands were installed as default

    5. Here is my Tulie and her baby! I'm not sneezing or wheezing either:lol:

    6. derilan85: Congratulations they both look adorable

    7. AreeElf- Thanks, I really do love her and her baby.

    8. Yes...that is what I meant...I am hoping that she arrives with the leaf arms attached....the others in the box! But from what I hear from those who have already received theirs...she will come with normal arms and feet... Rosey is supposed to be here tomorrow....I guess I will see how brave I am and try to change the arms....

    9. Okay...Rosey arrived this morning...with her plain arms and feet....It took me about a half and hour to change her elf boots and leaf arms....not that it was difficult...I just did it VERY carefully because I didn't want the elastic to get loose and unstring her whole body. Her hands are attached by just a small plastic thread to the elastic....no S hook and the hole through her hand is SO small....I didn't have a small enough S hook to use, so I used plastic thread also.....not what I wanted...but it will do until I can find the proper size S hook.....ANYWAY....she is a proper little FLOWER FAIRY now....and quite a charmer....

    10. Derilan, your Tulie and babe are gorgeous. Congrats.

My Rosey was here waiting for me when I arrived home from work tonight. She has 'S' hooks in her hands. No plastic line. So I will attempt to change her elbows this weekend. I bought direct from Elfdoll. I wonder why they are different.

I was surprised that her flower is PINK! I love it! But I've bought red flower eyes for her. I'll have to put them in and see what I think. I love her being pink and green though. She's absolutely gorgeous. Even Hubby said she was beautiful. He was quite taken with her.

Her hands and arms pose amazingly. Her legs are a little fiddly, but she stands. I find it incredible considering the weight of her head! She's so heavy. She has the regal quality I was looking for in the character I have planned for her. Photos when I get the change.

I love little Sissy seedling. She's so cute!!!

    11. Well...I am a bit annoyed that Elfdoll would sell some of their flower fairies with S hooks on their hands and some with a piece of junky plastic thread holding them on.....ESPECIALLY when they come with interchangable parts.....actually...it is MORE than a bit annoying....

    12. Write to them RoseAnn. Explain how you feel. I don't know why they are different.

    13. Congrats on getting your Roseys RoseAnn & Valli! That is strange about the lack of S-hooks in some of these dolls. I wonder if the first run was made w/out the hooks and Elfdoll has changed this feature because they realize how much easier it is for the consumer to attach option parts when S-hooks are used.

Maybe RoseAnn and all those who have Flowers without S-hooks should PM Ms. Cholong here on DoA and ask if they can get the size hook from Elfdoll. Just a thought, but she's been very helpful to me recently in answering questions I had, and accomdating some special requests I had regardng the Rosey I've ordered.

Anyway, congrats again to all who are receiving and have already gotten these sweet little dolls! :)

      Juli DC :)

    14. There are S hooks on the boots and feet....but none on the hands...and the holes on the hands are so small and curved ( apparently to use with S hooks!) that it is hard to even pass a double thickness of plastic thread through it.....but I worked at it with a crochet hook and tweezers and did it....BUT I will ask if I can obtain some S hooks....I am willing to pay for them...I just want the ones that fit....she is adorable...especially with the leaf arms.....
And yes...Ms. Cholong is an absolute sweetie when it comes to helping customers....she is an asset to the company!!!!

    15. I'm surprised too that they used the thread method for the flower elves. But I think they may have done that for poseability. Their other 14cm tinies were sold with option parts and were tied with thread. So t's not new to them. i do wish they had posted a tutorial on changing parts for the customers getting their doll.

If you ordered directly from elfdoll best bet is to ask about s-hooks from them if you did not receive it with your doll.

    16. I have Hana and she had s hooks. One came out of her hand and so far I can't fix it. I'm ok, because she has spare hands, but perhaps it's not such a bad thing NOT to have S hooks.

    17. Well...in all honesty...I will probably not change Rosey back to her " normal" arms and feet....so S hooks or not....my difficulty with changing them is over and done with....and I used plastic thread to secure her hands back on.....and I don't like her any less because of it.....I guess I was just surprised that there was a difference in the same doll to different sellers.... and I am wondering, if I order a Tuli....who do i buy her from to get the S hooks for easier arm replacement....

    18. It was not hard to change the arms....it just took a bit more time...and making sure that the plastic line was tied well enough...it tends to undo itself unless ties MANY times and then the knots are too large to neatly fit back into the foot/hand to remain invisible...BUT, it is very do-able in fact...my question was...why are some done this way...and others another? The S hook is a better option as far as I am concerned...but I still love my Rosie and that is all that is important....

    19. Roseann: Not sure why there's a discrepancy on the dolls but I guess that is a question best posed to elfdoll directly.

If the doll has option parts I prefer s-hooks myself. Though I have noted that with some joint types more poses are able to be held when it's tied versus s-hooks. It's a very slight difference where the joint holds the pose better and stays in place. It's so slight hat to me the ease on changing parts is preferable.
