It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Rainmans Flower Elves

Jan 14, 2009

    1. I wonder if the change to "s" hooks was the cause of the delay in the sale of the Flower Elves. At IDEX I did notice that one of the Roseys there was very difficult to stand, the other wasn't. It might have just been the stringing, but the Elves were suppose to have been available to take home that Sunday, but there was a delay in the sale to correct some problems. At least that is what we were told. Maybe DDE got the first batch that hadn't been corrected and the subsequent batches with the "S" hook, having been corrected, are from Elfdoll. Having both Elfdoll tinies and Hana, I would have to say I much prefer the hooks. I wonder which one my Rosey has.

    2. I changed my Tulie's flat feet to her elf shoes and it took 2hours to do, first I lost the elastic string inside her body and it was a nightmare fishing out. I had to make myself a stringing tool out of a large paperclip. Then once her elf shoes were on, 1 foot did not sit properly inside it, so when I tried to correct it, her elastic somehow came undone from her O ring. At this point I was about to have a heart attack, but I had to retie the elastic and then put it back inside her. Restringing her was okay the second time around and she is tighter than before and I have the knot at the top. Mine has the hooks for the elastic in her hands and feet. I'll keep her flat feet on from now on.

    3. I might be stupid but I can't find a database for those beautiful elves! I want to watch pictures ;)

    4. My Tulie is being held hostage by Customs, but I don't know how high her Ransom will be.

    5. I wrote to ELFDOLL and asked about the S hooks....not ms. Cholong....but the Q&A section on the site...they said they would look into it...but I haven't heard anything back for several days...

    6. Valli- Whoa, I really love your Rosey's eyes, she is just lovely:aheartbea

    7. They are so cute and so tiny!

    8. i can so relate- same exact thing happened to me. i was almost to the point where i was going to cry or have a hissy fit. luckily i got it. i havent changed to her leaf arms since she has like fishing line to hold her hands on...

    9. kathrynmary- It's a shame that we have to go thru this for such tiny dolls, but what a learning experience, I don't even want to try the leaf arms for my Tulie yet:shudder.

    10. Okay...so I got an answer from Elfdoll...they asked if I could change them myself if they were to send me the S hooks....and I said yes....so....at least I will have the ones that fit....when I get the nerve to fiddle with it again!!!!

    11. Thank you. I waited for a good day to take her photos. I love these eyes too.

    12. Okay...so I caved...big surprise....and ordered Rosey a sister...Tulie.....from DDE this time....and she is on her way now. They arrived in Denver yesterday. It will be interesting to see if she has S hooks on her hands or not.....no mattre....Rosey is excited to have a buddy....I mean, when your head is ONE BIG BLOSSOM...you need like-friends around!

    13. RoseAnn you crack me up! LOL! Congrats on ordering your latest "blossom head"! Looking forward to hearing more about your Tulie too.

And since you've bravely confessed, know that you're not along...I too caved and ordered a Sissy Seedling from DDE to keep my Rosey from DP company once she comes out of layaway. ;)

      Hugs, Juli DC :fangirl:

    14. My Tulie's clothes are on the way from DDE, so hopefully she will be dressed in her Queen outfit soon, then I can take some pics of her with it and her new eyes she is wearing too.

    15. Congratulations RoseAnn! Can't wait to see pictures of her. :)

I paid off my Rosey so she will be here in time to go camping with us at Disney. So after next weekend we should have some cool photos of her at the Flower & Garden Show. I missed going the weekend the Turtles were in concert there so I wanted to make sure she came with us camping. It is starting to get hot down here and once it gets too hot, it isn't fun bringing a doll around. I wish I had been able to pay her off sooner. I wanted to make a little outfit for her to go over with us.

    16. Congrats everyone. I certainly love my Rosey.

    17. My Tulie's on her way from DDE too. I'm curious too whether they come with s hooks or not.

    18. I got my Rosey in today and I am so disappointed! I had specifically asked the seller if she stood on her own and her stringing was tight because I had seen a few at IDEX with problems and I was assured she was fine. She is strung so loosely she will not stand on her own and it looks like one leg is shorter than the other which if that is the case, she will never stand on her own. She just might have to go back.

Has anyone tightened the stringing on theirs? With that solid "O" ring, I am trying to figure out she can even be tightened. She has stringing for her arms, but it looks like she has the hooks for her feet. I think I am going to try to find "s" hooks at the hardware store, but I am really not sure what to do for her. If I do keep her, I am going to contact Elfdoll and see if I can't get the hooks as well. It is so strange that some have the hooks and some have the fishing line.

    19. Gracie- I had to re-string my Tulie and re-tie the strings to the O ring as if it were a S hook. NOT easy let me tell you and after swearing and sweating for 2 hours she can stand, and 1 leg is a tad bit shorter than the other. It is not your imagination, I had her too loose the first time I restrung her and I had to use a Large paper clip that I undid to make a stringing tool out of. Hubby stayed away from me that day, but now she is much better and no fishing line was used for my Tulie that came from Elf Doll. I don't think I want to restring this one every again, it was a nightmare:|
