1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Randomly Finding BJD Owners

May 6, 2011

    1. well I was going to post the same story as nanikora but she got to it before me haha!

    2. It's happened quite a bit to me despite the fact that here in Alabama there aren't really too many collectors and we are all some what acquainted with each other. More or less it's some what common for me to run into owners I already know at our local hang outs but it's quite rare that I find owners I've never met before.

      I was sitting in a local bookstore reading when I look up to see a girl carrying a copy of Haute Doll magazine. Curious to see if she knew about ABJD I asked her if she knew what BJDs were and she said of course and had a Volks Resiner and a Volks School Head A (my dream doll!) out in her truck! I was beyond shocked. Her dolls were probably the most gorgeous I have ever seen in person and she was so nice. :3

      She apparently didn't know anyone in this area who collected, had no idea about our local forum and didn't go on DoA too often. I wrote down her information but it's long since been lost and I'd really like to see her again. ^^;

    3. At work once I met a girl who's mum collects Blythes, and was interested in BDJ's.

    4. I actually learned about DoA from muse who I met at our school. I can't remember if it came up in our first conversation when we were shocked we had so much in common or when she came by my dorm room and my DoD Too was sitting on my shelf. But yeah, that was exciting ^^

    5. My fiance said it was slow at work and these two girls walked by with dolls and she ran after them. She found out they were having a doll meet in the mall...while she was working...and it was slow...so slow :< poor baby, lots of doll meets are on the weekends when we work

      I'm actually afraid to run into the "snooty" doll owners. The ones that think their doll is better than any ones and judges your doll for every "flaw" they can find. I was in a group like that on a different website, tear me to shreds. that would be a let down to run into ppl like that, wow the only doll owners I have ever ran into and they are jerks....yay :/

    6. I want a "like" button for this ^^
