1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Reminisce Head at Elfdoll

Jul 25, 2006

    1. I never said you didn't do your best. I said it was sad, for whatever reason, that U.S. dealers weren't able/allowed to honor the spirit of the Elfdoll offer. And it is.

I didn't think the list you had was more than a few dozen long, if it's the same list that was posted at the link in the e-mail. If Elfdoll shorted you by 2/3, that's nuts. Shorting the offer by that much would only upset people, I'd think.

I'm just rambling, but it seems silly to get assigned to a head you may not be able to use - I'm only talking about the skin differences, BW Nabee vs. Reg. Sooah, Soah and Ryung. If I only had a Nabee, I'd have to wonder what I'd do with a Sooah head, and vice versa. I assume that's why Rainman added the Nabee head a week-ish after announcing the other three, realizing that the Nabee owners were qualifying too and would have use for the BW head.

I'm not bitching, it's just something I wished someone, somewhere would have addressed - preferably in the allotment stage on Rainman's part. I happen to have both skin colors, so in the end, I don't care all that much what I end up with.

    2. Well yes, it's true that I have absolutely no use for my normal skin head, since I can't afford a body right now! But, it's all good..... I got a nice prezzie, I can practice painting on her, and by the time I get the head done right, a body might have come along.

    3. I got my Ryung Reminisce head! Hibiscus mentioned sharing piccies, so I'll do just that. :)

Pardon the bad lighting and I took a comparison pic of the Ryung head and a paleskin Obitsu body. The skintone is an almost exact match except Ryung has a slight sheen to her that's courtesy of the sanded-smooth resin.

And pardon the momentary doll nudity of above.

But yeah, that's what the unpainted Ryung Reminisce head looks like. :)

She's beautiful and looks so peaceful. The headcap has the short bit of elastic attached to it to attach to a possible S-hook or O-ring and there's also a resin hook that you can superglue in yourself if the body you're putting the head on doesn't have the rings/hooks.

The eyes are -completely- closed. When you look into the head, you can see that there are no marks or incisions where the eyeholes would be. Her lips have faint indentions/lines just like real lips would.

All in all, the Reminisce head mould is quite beautiful and serene-looking.

I hope everyone loves their Reminisce head! :)

    4. How wonderful! She is just beautiful, but isn't that what we expected?

I was able to change my order to a Nabee head, so I will have a body to switch heads around with.

    5. Wow, that's so cool. I think my Reminisce Sooah shipped today, but I haven't gotten delivery confirmation... it's interesting that her eyes are completely closed, I thought they were supposed to be slitted open a wee bit.

      Congrats. :)

    6. I see that the costumes they were photographed in are available too.......

    7. Wo-hoo. My Reminisce Sooah arrived today. Her eyes are all the way shut, too.

The little hook that holds her headcap on wasn't attached to the rest of her body (just a little free floating hook). Is that normal? Oo I will have to glue it in place to make it stay. The little elastic bit that attaches the hook to the headcap wasn't knotted, either, just put in there without a knot along side the unattached hook.

I've never done faceup before... I suspect that my first faceup probably shouldn't be on a Reminsce Sooah, that would probably be too challenging for a dumb n00b such as myself.

She's remarkably cool. I hope to make her into a seperate doll sometime in the distant future, but for now, she's a spare head for my Agge.

    8. Great! I think it will be fun to have a spare head to play with--think of the eyeshadow possibilities!

    9. I'm pretty happy I got the head I requested, I get the feeling that a number of people were pot-lucking it, towards the end.

    10. OOps, were we supposed to pay for postage? I don't remember seeing that on the cart - maybe thats why I haven't gotten my free head yet? I was on the list - my order is #4948 - Alex
