Oh I've always had a deep seated need for a mermaid doll... Because -mermaid- XD What's funny is I don't order from other companies... I'd either totally loose interest in a doll that took that long to get here or I'd have to successfully forget I'd ordered it. If I had to wait a year for a doll I'd actually probably hate the doll by the time I got it... I'm not good at waiting XD

Sorry for the second post.. I wanted to share a pattern. Someone asked for patterns that someone else was making.. I am trying to make saddle bags and if you'd like to try to make some or alter it or laugh at my ideas Here it is.. I posted it on my flickr.. You can click on it to see a larger image and I did not add any seem allowance or anything like that. 5 squares equal an inch. Thanks for the pattern, Reslie! I just discovered this thread, so I'm still reading through the last few pages. I just got my shipping notice from DDE for my Spring deertaur! She's my first Resinsoul. Usually I make a welcome home outfit for each bjd but I didn't for this girl. I hope one of the spare wigs & outfits fit while we check each other out! I got her in normal skin with the faceup and body blushing.
Thanks for the pic! but I'm really confused about your pattern, is that metric graph paper or something? I thought standard graph paper was 1/4th inch square...
@Reslie Out of curiosity what resin colour is that on the deer half of your doll? I've been thinking about what colours I want for mine. Pretty sure I'm going to go for reds and browns. Originally planned to get Autumn but after seeing a pic with comparisons on all of the heads I feel winter is what I want. I might make her be themed around that early winter where there isn't snow but there's like dead plants and browns all around.
LOL.. I did too. I got it at target and was very happy to find the graph paper had smaller squares. Its a Mead Five Star composition notebook. Here is a picture of one of the baskets just the base of the basket.. I wanted to make sure it was the size I wanted it to be. (I didn't give any seam allowance because I want it to have a thatched together look when I am finished with it.. I will use a different material when I am done as well. Oh your doll plans are really cool. I have normal skin human parts, deer parts in dark brown, hooves in black. I have the company faceup as well as body blushing. I can't wait to see your doll come to life.

T_T Tracking packages is torture. I can't help but update the stupid tracking every few hours... Trying to sketch up something to plan on making for my new girl I ended up sketching something for my blue fairy doll... :/ well that didn't go as planned... Time to try again...
XD Well her last update was she was in NY on the 17th at 9:30 >.> So I've got like....2 to 4 days from that... so as soon as tomorrow as late as like... monday?

Yep, I do all my crew's faces ^_^ not 100% sure on what is gonna happen but I feel freckles and spots in my future... Thank you! She kept trying to cover up (yay for tight elastic XD ) So I just let her hide XD Yea! I'm stupid stoked, We had a bit of fun, I order all the dolls for me and my family... so Sun accidentally sent it to my mom's house, she's on vacation... thankfully I was able to make it to the post office before they closed! My plans... They involve copious amounts of ruffles... and they have already begun. her first little dress is almost done... She still is probably gonna get an "under" skirt that will cover her little deer butt... And hair and eyes are still a thing that needs to happen...
