Congrats!! What color?

 

I didn't know about all the different colour options as I ordered her from DDE, so I just got normal with the faceup and body blushing, just like the online photos. I'm hoping I have a wig that'll fit. I'll work on her clothes once she arrives too.

Thanks!! I've been going crazy with all the things I'd been thinking about doing... Made her a little dress and a... Petti coat? IDK what the heck to call it but it's ruffly, her tail sticks out of it and I love it.

I keep going back to bobobie to drool over these babies - is there a separate bobobie centaur thread or can the title of this one be changed to resinsoul/bobobie? They are the same company aren't they, kind of? Am I right in thinking just email them to order special colour combinations?

Lynn Nexus centaur/deertaur whatever they're called are really fun to dress I think - gets my imagination whirring ^_^

 

Resinsoul and Bobobie are kinda the same. BBB is the casting company where RS is the sculpt company. Or at least that's what we've figured out. For the purposes of the forums... they are the same company. They sell the same dolls, cast with the same resin, though if you want custom stuff (like any of the clear resins) I urge you to go through RS NOT BBB. Denis is a nice person... their customer interactions are painful. Sun at RS is amazing. Having dealt with both, RS all the way unless you need one of the old BBB heads.

I want to but we're having problems with uploading, and my husband is home. It grinds our -whole- internet to a halt. The ONE pic I uploaded yesterday crashed my comp and ground his game to a lag fest. I PROMISE there will be pictures tomorrow. If you guys have any requests lemme know!

 

ooh thanks for that advice Lynn Nexus I do love the way RS package their dolls too - I don't think BBB do it so nicely - or at least they didn't in 2012 when I ordered a doll from them

 

Sadly the BBB packaging hasn't changed, and I'd honestly be shocked if it did.

Also, it's been eyons since I tried to upload on anything other than photobucket, seems that Flickr isn't going to craxsh my comp like uploading to Photobucket did... :/ but I liked my photobucket *sigh* But... RUFFLES!

 

That dress and petticoat look terrific! I found a multi-layered silver dress at the thrift store that I've been saving for my girl. It must have been for a Barbie as the top is very tiny. Anyway, I'm hoping the silver layers will fit over her entire lower body, then I'll knit or crochet a new top for it.

 

Beautiful. I love that fabric. It compliments her colors nicely.

Faunda arrived a day early! The layered dress worked just right, although I had to cut the original top off as it was way too small. I'll probably make her a wig this fall too.

It makes me think, though: how could the Victorian bustle look be modified for 'taurs?

I'm imagining a train flowing out behind. Maybe in the darker color of the top.

She would need some sort of hoop or structure underneath if she were to actually walk, though. Oh dear, now I may actually have to order a 'taur for my next doll, just so I can modify historical patterns in bizarre ways for it.
