It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Resinsoul centaurs!

    1. Quick picture, because I promised.

If the image doesn't work, try: here
(Too tired to futz with it more tonight :yawn I'll look up the faq next time.)

The only thing that was ready for her yesterday was a triangle scarf.

Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn't thought of florist wire. Please let us know how the kips work out one you've had a chance to try them.

I let the extra loop of elastic for the legs move from the head S-hook into the chest. I'm not sure why it was up with the knots in the first place. It did help a bit. I need to work a bit more on redistributing the tension. I seems to primarily have affected the back legs. The front legs are still quite kicky. Appropriate for a deer, I guess.

Working on sewing when I should probably be focusing on finishing my knitting.

    2. Your girl is gorgeous, lerolabell. I read something on DOA the other day about Photobucket making changes, so photos on DOA now don't work. Maybe your application has the same problem. I had some pix on PB that I changed over to flickr and they work here fine. Those photo apps take turns mucking up our pix, lol!

I know what you mean re working on something other than what you think you should. I started 2 crochet dresses last night but not getting the look I wanted, so today, I started a 3rd one, eep!

    3. Oh man, love seeing some owner pics-- and seeing everyone's ideas for how to clothe a little centaur!

Tentatively planning on one of these little guys for my birthday next month... but I love that they're basic and so inexpensive for a BJD, so if something came up and I had a real world priority to spend on rather than a doll, I'd be able to just get one not too long after... (I'm still dealing with surprise moving expenses, replacing things and all that jazz, but man, these little deer kids just seem so doable!)

Anyway, it's so cool seeing what everyone who's already got one is doing in terms of styling and everything.

    4. Anneko~ That's one of my favorite things about RS, Yea the price is great... but the price is great AND if something comes up and you have to put buying a doll off for a month or two... They are still there!

    5. Aaaah I have one of my own coming! I found a Spring on the marketplace with a super pretty custom faceup and blushing and I had some extra money...basically I failed to resist. She's gonna be my tiny elf's big sister :D

    6. ah she's really gorgeous lerolabell :D Interesting stringing information too - I did glue suede my dolls without unstringing them though - just get a DUAL TEMP glue gun from amazon or somewhere for about a fiver, and make sure you have LOW temp glue sticks to use with it! Never use hot glue - just have it on low - if it gets in a mess it's easy to peel off (and perversely I really enjoy doing that LOL) With tinies it's easy to hold the joint apart and apply the glue yourself, but with anything bigger get someone to help - there's no need to unstring the doll, just hold the joint apart for a few seconds till the glue is dry :whee: I found the elastic got looser with use anyway - some of my dolls were quite floppy after 6 months.

Congrats! Please post photos - I use flickr and the BB code link there :D

    7. @lerolabell Oooh I missed that picture; she's gorgeous!
@elve Of course ^^ She's gonna look a bit weird till I can get her a wig and eye putty, though. (err, and eyes, come to think of it. oops.)

    8. Thank you guys for your help and encouragement.

Let's see if I can get this picture to work:

    9. -stares- Wooow, that outfit. It lays over the deer part so well. Love the posing too! :D

Ahhh, I'm sorry to double post, but I need you guys and your cervitaur doll experience. : x
My Spring came today, and I LOVE HER, but the seller packed her head separately to keep it safe, and I, uh. Can't figure out how to get it back on. Send help please?

    10. Mine arrived with her head on but one of the first things I did was take it off to play with her eyes. Trying to reattach it, I figured out that if the knots are not sitting inside and atop the curve of the hook, and if you are not very careful to get all the loose ends inside first, the head will not go on properly.

Try making sure all the elastic ends are inside her head and then pull up on them to move the knots into position as you gently push the head down.

      Hope this helps.

    11. My turn to apologize for the double post.

Thank you! The outfit is actually pretty easy to make. The skirt is a bunch of leaf shapes cut out of fabric and sewn into a waistband that fastens with a snap. The top is actually not sewn at all but is some leftover leaves carefully arranged and held in place with a bit of scrap for a belt. I found it to be a quick way to get some clothes on her. Try it if you'd like. I'd love to see pictures if you do :)

    12. @lerolabell My sewing skill/time is about 0, I'm afraid ^^ (plus I hate to put anything that hides her pretty blushing job on her! though I probably should to protect it...)
Speaking of 'taurs, I gotta post one of mine, even if she doesn't have a name yet (I'm a bad person). With my Luts TD for comparison! (She's so huge next to a tiny, it's ridiculous. Hansel can ride on her back if I balance her really carefully.) I still don't think her head is right but yknow what it was Attempt 3 it'll do.
(edited to remove a busted image link!)

    13. @shydreamer Your body blushing is amazing! :D No wonder you don't want to cover it up.

    14. @lerolabell Ohhh shoot I forgot to use words no no it's not my work! I got her from mlefever on the Marketplace. The detailing's honestly amazing...there's tiny flowers on her faceup :D She's adorable (even if one particular leg does have a tendency to kick backwards if I don't lock it in place perfectly) and super fun to play with. I need to get her a proper wig-- she's 'borrowing' my elf girl's hat from the newbie/oldbie match event right now.

    15. great idea for an outfit lerolabell :D

Congrats on getting your gorgeous girl too shydreamer - I was wanting a pink/white one and it's good to see that their pink is really noticeably 'pink' - she's so pretty! :love

    16. You can wrap a piece of lace arround her chest. She wouldnt be naked, you dont have to sew and it didnt cover her pretty tattoo*-* i really like all of your cute centaurs.. Mine still isnt there

    17. mlefever does some wonderful faceups and body work! Good idea re the lace, Steffi. I was going to suggest a little bra and some kind of wragged skirt for the body.

    18. Oh a skirt would be fine. Heres a short video for a no sew tutu skirt

    19. @shydreamer very noble of you to clarify. She is a beautiful find. The hat matches amazingly well for the acquisition circumstances. I like it :thumbup.

@SteffiPuschel I like the lace idea, too.

It's starting to get cooler these days so I made my girl a sweater out of leftover sock yarn.

She got new eyes too. For those who are interested in technical details they are 12 mm Hazel Almost Real Acrylic.

    20. @lerolabell I love her hat, it made me laugh when I realized how well the pinks matched. :p
      That sweater's so cute! :D
