It's been quiet here for a while...



Trying out a different wig on my Autumn. Not sure what I think yet but it's not too bad from this angle. The sides tend to poof.

 

Those eyes are really cute for Autumn. What size are they?

I restrung and wired my boy. I'd never done that before... it was quite the learning experience. Next up, body blushing - and learning to take better photos of him.

Thanks! Mine seems to have 14mm eyes in, but I'm probably going to be changing them eventually.

It turns out, he had three elastic loops - the third one, for the hind legs, anchors in the human-waist piece, which has two tunnels. The other two anchor on the S-hook in the head.

Mine was not able to have both arms down like that before having some work done, he really wanted to whack himself in the face if his arms weren't braced on something.

 

Ditto. I think I have posts about that earlier in the thread. I'm glad restringing worked for you. I should probably try it too.

 

Gosh you're so lucky, a while back when Arubi was still available I also considered getting her as my entry to the doll community, but they sold out too quickly! Seems they're still a rare doll to see around as well- she's quite different and pretty, I love the little nose and sculpted fur.

In other news! I just received the confirmation email from RS saying that my Autumn centaur boy has departed! So I'll be hoping to get him and maybe make a box opening video in the next few weeks! I didn't ask for any confirmation pictures since I wanted it to be a bit of a surprise, but I got the custom deer ears on Autumn, deer parts in dark tan and human parts in light tan-- his wig and eyes already came as well, I actually have two pairs of eyes, one more of a blue-green and another in a more emerald green so I guess I'll just have to decide which I like better when he actually arrives hahah...

 

DollPamm in general isn't seen too often, but I have one of their larger (Loli) dolls, and they're just as lovely. I'd love to know if the smaller lines are similarly scaled to Arubi and the RS tinies. It's really a lovely scale, which is why I keep working on an excuse to add a little centaur to my collection somewhere! I have to admit, I'm contemplating some extreme modding when I have time for yet another project...

 

I just ordered a custom colored Winter today, super excited to get him! Saving up for a custom Spring as well so he has a little girlfriend soon

 

My Autumn just arrived today!!

I'm pretty amazed. I ordered him directly from the company through email (since I had to request for the darker brown skin) and just received the email that he was sent out 5 days ago on the 22nd and he came just today in the morning! I ordered him with deer parts in dark brown and human parts in tan, and with custom deer ears from the Winter/Spring sculpts rather than Autumn's elf ears.

I actually ordered 2 pairs of eyes and 2 wigs for him just because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, and I'm very happy with the emerald/gold flecked eyes from Luts and their fur wig fit him perfectly (I liked the look of the fiber one I also have a lot it was just too big for him). I'm going to add some random beaded braids to the wig later as well...

The only thing I'm a little bummed about is I'm surprised they just sent him inside the vinyl case without any bubble wrap or cushioning? He was just in a plastic bag with his legs folded up and he has quite a few clear scuffs randomly along his legs where he probably rubbed against himself during shipping as well as some somewhat visible scratching on the side of one of his thighs.

Another thing I noticed is that one of the 'S'-hooks in his wrist doesn't seem to fit properly? I noticed that his right hand is rather loose and wiggles about, and pulling the 'S'-hook out of the socket aways to look at it, I realized that it seemed to be bent a bit so it didn't fit entirely correctly inside his wrist/forearm, it sort of pops out a bit and the edge of its end scraps against the inside of his arm if I try and move it or push it back inside. He's pretty tightly strung, would I just be able to pull it out safely and replace the wrist 'S' hook??



Anyways though, he's just adorable. I've decided to name him "Oriole Runehoof" or "Ori" for short. I have plans for him to perhaps be a druid/self-taught wizard who is also a groundskeeper at a nearby castle/wizard school where he tends to snoop through the human's books and magic-work in his off hours (since he is a key-keeper and has all of the keys to the castle doors!). He enjoys learning the skills and science they've created for his own magic since his folk are typically seen as less civilized than magical humans, and therefore unable to actually attend schooling.

I just now came across these when I went to Resinsoul's site to look at their YOSDs... I'm sooo dead... I know what I'm ordering in a month or so. I seriously can't resist them... Going to have to get one of each!

 

I just went through this whole thread and I'm completely in love with this guys! I swore I wouldn't get any more dolls this year - But I don't know if I can resist!

OH GOSH, @hellsingcountess your Spring is fantastic! That wig really suits her, too, and I am in love with that color combo...

Thank you I plan on redoing her faceup and might change her wig but I'm unsure if I should change it because it does look very cute on her I'm also in love with the color combo to especially the purple!

 

I don't know if I just missed it, or if no one has one yet but... does anyone have one with a dark blue deer body and light blue or white upper body? Or even a light blue deer body with a white upper body? Debating those color combos for something I'm thinking about doing...
