It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Right up their skirts... for some strange reason...

Jun 4, 2007

    1. When my MSD was Fynn instead of Caane, I brought him to this quilt group where there were a bunch of old ladies. I was the youngest at 20 by the way. One one was checking out the doll, and I mentioned how he was anatomically correct. She actually lit up, cried "Oooh!" and tugged his pants down >_<
I didn't mind with Fynn because his character is a total flirt, but I would be so embarrassed for Caane.

    2. Lol this thread is funny! The first thing I made for my dollie (first and only one) was panties!
And I knew it was the first thing I had to sew, because I knew my boyfriend and anyone would want to check look under her skirt..
And that's what happenned lol! I don't know why though..!

And I don't mind, even if I gave her a name, a personnality and all, she's still only a doll to me, so she's an object. ^-^
But I don't understand why people do that. I think this is weird. o.o xD

    3. I don't advertise what's under my doll's clothing, especially to non-doll people. Yet it never ceases to amaze me how everybody wants to see.

When I brought my AoD Qian to work, my coworker kept trying to look under her dress and was disappointed that she was wearing panties.....I found it a little creepy that this 30-something redneck guy was SO disappointed that Claire was a proper lady...and then he asked WHY I had panties on her! @_@ I said b/c sometimes ppl would look up her dress and I felt sure she'd rather not be exposed...>.>

For my boys, I've had several non-doll people insist I'm "wrong" when I say they're not girls (even though NONE of my boys are girly boys...) and when I assure that they they are indeed boys, they want "proof". Which I also think is kind of weird...I wouldn't walk up to a person, insist their baby or dog or whatever was female and demand "proof" that it wasn't....ok, so it's a little different with a living thing, but still! Same principle!

    4. My name is Manda... and I flip dolliehs over to see what they got. lol

I actually admit to doing this with my Breyer animals to see what gender they are as well. While I can't explain why, I do know it's something I do without really thinking about it. I would never do such a thing to someone's doll without asking though.

    5. I would think that's super rude. I dunno...it's generally people wanting to check the 'gender' of the doll, I guess. If I say my doll is a boy or a girl, then it's a BOY or a GIRL. You don't have to check for me.

    6. I have a few dolls, and for some reason whenever I have someone else's doll around, if I have permission, I take a peek. I think it might be because I don't own any boy dolls myself, but then again I already know what they have down there, lol.

Also, sometimes I like just checking for body blushing. :3

    7. Now you mention it...I think just about ever friend who I have allowed to touch my dolls has taken a look up there skirt. I kinda figured it was just a case of wanting a good look at there pretty clothes but I could be wrong. Maybe I just have odd doll-pervs for friends D:

    8. Haha since I have a boy I can't quite comment on upskirting, but I do get a LOT of people trying to see his butt for some reason! Kou has this huge bubble butt that just fascinates people haha. My mom likes to play pranks and pants the poor boy so his pale bubble ass is just showing to the world! It amuses me, even if a stranger does the same haha. It's just a part of the fascination of these dolls I guess!

    9. My Husband did this too!! Showed my first doll and up went her skirt! ???? He said he was just curious. :/

    10. lol. Well as soon as anyone I know learns that they are anatomically correct, the first thing they do to my boys is pull down their pants to check. XD I don't know why, but people seem to find it intriguing/ funny that BJDs are not like Barbies.

    11. I think this is a really common thing to do. Years ago my grandmother sold rag dolls at craft fairs and almost everyone turned them over and looked up their dress. I told her she should put an exclamation point on their little bottoms!

    12. It's not something I would do myself, but I can imagine others, particularly non-doll people, doing it out of curiosity. This is the reason I prefer that dolls have underwear on, lol.

    13. This is indeed very weird... but I think it is somehow.. normal? When I got barbie dolls as a kid the first thing I did was to remove her clothes only to dress it again.

Maybe I was just a dumb kid

    14. My brother used to do this when I was little - but then the little pervert also drew vaginas and boobs on all my teddies and other dolls as well

Hubby on the other hand has a habit of looking down my dolls tops

    15. I actually found it kind of funny when my friend held one of my dolls above her head just to check if she had underwear. I'm pretty sure my girl was mad about that, but I let my friend be. We're a bit... tactless(?) that way. I'd be offended though if a total stranger did that.

    16. This is an interesting topic. I don't own any girls, so I can't say anyone has looked up my dolls' skirts, but I remember once some little girls came to look at one of my dolls when I was taking a picture of him. He was wearing a long shirt, jeans, and boxers, and this little girl points at his crotch and says "What's that?" I immediately knew she was asking about his penis, but I played dumb and just told her it was his belt. She giggled and then screamed, "Nope, it's his peepee!" I assume she did not know BJDs were anatomically correct, so it was a bit odd to me. Kids.

    17. I haven't had anyone try to undress any of my boys. But I have gotten kind of used to needing to show my parents(father especially) the "goods" to firmly note "Yeah, he's A GUY". And this is even without putting any of my boys in dresses or anything.

      ...Of course, the fact that I've got a bunch of boys and no girls, and none of them wear skirts or anything, might help. ^^;

    18. This is... an odd topic! While I have had to prove that my dolls are anatomically correct, I have yet to have someone try to look up their skirts. :3

    19. I think that's a doll thang- not just BJD. Great observation tho'! *^^*

      Everyone loves cute panties/manties.

    20. My sisters friend was over with her cousin and asked me to bring out my boy ,I did and she proceeded to pull down his pants in her cousin's face. I felt mortified for him. I think it's just hard for people to visualize an anatomically correct doll.
