Right up their skirts... for some strange reason...

Whoooa. I haven't experience this phenomenon with my doll yet, but she hasn't gotten out of my house much... I do tend to actually put my hand up her skirt to hold her by her hips sometimes, though. That must look very odd. XD

I think I may need to invest in some panties for my girl. It would be so awkward to have someone look up her skirt and see she's going commando!

On the other hand, if they flipped her upside down to look up her skirt, I'd be annoyed. Her wig isn't firmly attached, so it tends to fall off.

No one has ever tried to look at any of my doll-boys' no-no parts right off the bat, even the one in a kilt! I guess I'm just lucky.

 

I think the answer may be much simpler. Perhaps for some people, this is their first opportunity to see anatomical parts..teehee..

 

What bothers me the most about the whole thing is that it makes the doll look undignified. But fortunately I don't take them into that kind of situation (with non-doll people) very often. And the girls always wear undergarments or tights if they're wearing skirts!

It's never happened to me, but once I saw a doll at an anime convention, and her hair was covering her face. I bent over to see what her face looked like, not even noticing she was wearing a skirt, and the owner was like "Oh, yeah, just look right up her skirt" I just kind of gave her a look and walked away.

 

I have never had this occur but it is mainly because I have very few friends that even know I have dolls much less that I trust to handle them. The only people I'm around that handle my dolls are other BJD people at meetups who of course have little interest in that, although we have pantst a few of the more realistically sculpted dolls XD

It would really bother me though. I have intricate characters and back stories for my dolls and having someone do that to them would just seem wrong.

 

The first thing I did when my friend showed me her first bjd was pull down his pants I had known about bjd for a few years, but he was the first bjd I had ever had the chance to hold, so I went straight for his junk. They all laughed at me, but after years of growing up with neutered Ken dolls I wanted to see if he really had man bits. The impulse I think is part curiosity and part disbelief. We know what should be there but we are so use to it not being there, especially when such things are always censored from the toys we grew up with, we can't help but wonder if it realy is there and we can't help but look. Dolls that are atomically correct are such a novelty, certainly in the US where parents go to great lengths to 'protect' their kids from sex in all it's definition. And perhaps it's that subtle perverseness of having what appears to be a child's toy not being sterol that makes us have to take a peek.

 

Well my gang boy arrived yesterday, but I fetched him today because the post office was closed when I got home from work. I am pleased to announce that his genitals (or manly parts) seem to be in order! I was amused to see he even had testicles.

Same thing happened to me! I got my doll one day, and then when I was done dressing her, my boyfriend came home and asked if he could see her, and the first thing he did was look up her dress!
He laughed at the idea of them being anatomically correct. But oh well.

One time I brought my girl to band practise because I had been to a meet earlier that day. I was there really early and my boyfriend was going to drive there to give me food and at the same time pick up my dollie to get her home safe.
There was another band there chilling when I arrived and one of the guys noticed her at once and asked if he could hold her. I told him to be extremely careful and handed her over. The first thing he did was to look under her skirt! She was wearing bloomers so I guess he was disappointed so I told him that she is anatomically correct.
They all laughed and he handed her back to me.

I have no idea why people do this. Although I do find it hilarious and fairly harmless. Perhaps they have to take the chance to look up under a skirt when they are sure that the skirtowner won't slap and scold them. Don't think they ever thought of the owners they might offend.

 

I have this problem as well. When I brought my fiance’s doll, Alyn, to my university, I actually had a PROFESSOR come right up to me and say, “Let’s see her pussy!”

It was HIGHLY uncomfortable but because people KNOW they are anatomically correct, I think it just strikes up an intense curiosity.

 

I can recall doing this in the past but I can't explain why. Maybe for the same reason I have to open a box when I see one even though I know what the inside will most likely look like

 

I get embarrassed when people insist on checking out whether Edmon is anatomically correct or not :/
I mean, they don't ask to look down their friend's pants so why do it to my doll? They don't need to see his business

 

This only happens with my boys! People seem to have some odd want to pants them, often before I even mention that are anatomically correct. But my dollfie dream doesn't seem to illicit as much interest in this beneath her skirt/dress..it might be because she's got a large bust so people are busy being distracted by her boobs. ^^;

 

Not too many has done that to me, but then again with Anju- they probably don't have to look up her skirt to see her panties since it's short enough that she sometimes flashes them accidentally anyway.

I HAVE had people excitedly ask to squish her boobs though, which I just find very amusing. my Dad is the resident perv. he always likes to push tops down or loves tight shirts on the girls if they have defined nipples. boob man. the boys are the ones that people ask me about the anatomical question. i just smile and say yep. they don't get to see even if they are dying to. although Pierce has a pair of pants a la David Bowie as Jared.... if ya know what i mean.....
