Maybe the RGM3 and RGM4 would be better for that height difference, since it's a little smaller?

Yeah, the RGM5s being interchangeable will be nice. I might just remove it at times, because with Xie Lian, his bits can sometimes interfere with clothes or stands. To fit on his stand, it has to be pointed upwards, which is a little bit of a strange look! Luckily it can't be seen through his pants yet, because whenever he wears tight pants, he has a hanfu skirt over it. The Peter parts for the RGM5 body cracked me up too.

 

I thought about it however I'd like a partner for Sun Ce whom is on 05 body. I have one, possibly good option in my mind (DF-H 72cm body), but I don't know if that would work. I hoped another ringdoll body but now it's out of question.....

 

Yeah, that’s a little difficult since you already have 05. Maybe the 03 would work? It’s not perfect but close, and I personally always prefer to have the same brand with pair dolls. Though another brand could work, of course!

 

Sadly I'm too maximalist (and picky) when it's about my ship..... The 03 & 04 bodies would be perfect with their height difference and if Sung Ce would be on 03, I'd be really happy. Now with 05 at hand, I'd like to create the same vibe.... The 03 is small for that (and too muscular for my taste). It bothers me too much for being satisfied with it xddddd Whish Ringdoll would create another body like 04, but taller.

 

Maybe you could trade out the body? You could buy an 03 body and sell your 05, or you could try to trade your 05 body with someone who has an 03, and keep the Sun Ce head.

 

Yeah... xdddd this would be a great solution if I would not love his fullset too much....... I fell in love with his fullset and I'd be depressed if I could not use his outfit anymore xdddd

 

Very true! Well, either get a body from a different brand... or, a perfect excuse to buy more!

Ahhhh, I should've sought this kind of photo before I purchased my very first boy. RD makes such small heads. The 75 scales nicely with other doll brands but the rest scale better to a SD17/65cms its hard to pair them off.
I now wonder if RD would be open to making leg extenders like some other doll makers so (ie Loongsoul, YCen, etc)

But WOW having all the generation bodies plus skintones is such a great reference!

 

The wheat skin tone looks darker than I thought; now again, the milk is more like a white and the white like a pure white haha this is the kind of thing that confuses me with every company, it's nice to have this picture to make some thinking before placing an order. Ringdoll almost never offers Milk and Wheat anymore but it's good to have it at hand, I guess their blind bags still have those skin tones rolling around.

Since I don't have other references is hard to picture, when I see Xie Lian's legs they look sooo long stylized rather than realistic, but I bet Loong Soul's legs look even longer

they aren't too big bits but you put them on the ankle part to increase height!

 

jumping on this slightly off-topic bandwagon, LS' ankle risers are great for mixing up the height of a group of dolls, especially if you mostly have boys in the same color because you can effectively make them 3 different heights (no ankle riser, 1 ankle riser, 2 ankle risers) admittedly it makes the legs really long, but I personally love legs for days so it's more of a feature than a flaw for me.
It would be really awesome if RD started offering something similar. The ability to slightly mix up height, without having to completely redraft patterns because everyone is still basically on the same body, has really enabled my LS habit.

Quick question at @LupusDarkmoon - would the 03 arms fit on the 04 body? I've been on the hunt for the perfect body for a character for a while now, and while the 03 body really is closer to what I'd want, the lack of a belly joint/3 part torso really kills it for me

 

aki7, their Eren have this, and tbh its not working, maybe cos it was 'fast' variant for Eren, cos he must be a bit to be taller then Levi. This things not have stopper or smth, and my Eren can't stand firm with those things.

I'll probably get flak for it because i've repeatedly lamented about it here..... but RD isn't very good at engineering joint parts it seems.. at least for the older bodies. The 05 is probably by far my favorite one. But based on the design of the ankle extender alone it looks like its not deigned well with stacking in mind....like this was made as an afterthought Did suede not help to make it less "slippy"?

So far all the leg extenders I've seen have been designed to mimic the ankle joint and has to snap into place to make the part stable and act more like a proper ankle that's belonging to the leg

Perhaps down the line RD can figure it out since they are introducing innovative things like the pvc hands...I'm excited to see if they can take it there!

Ye, I guess it was some 'fast decision', cos he have same body as Levi. But strange why it was so hard to make just more longer this part for this release :/
Ofc I have LS bjds too and it works good to me. I was very disappointed when I received this from RD

 

Yeah, the 05 boys have bigger heads than the other Grown boys, but they also look like giant giants next to most other smaller dolls imo lol. The other Grown boys can usually wear stretchy 7/8 size wigs. Lu Xun's got quite the melon compared to the other Ringdoll boys in the house XD

I'd actually love to one day get the 01 body, so we would have all of them for comparison lol. We do have all the colors, though. There are even tan boys here. ^^

Wheat is kinda inconsistent. So if anyone wants a full Ringdoll in Wheat, get the whole doll lol. Honestly, in person, the Milk looks more like a pale Normal Yellow while the Normal looks like a Normal Pink. I'm honestly not sure what they were going for with Milk, but it's a nice color nonetheless lol. We did get our Milk color boys in lucky bags, and I'm pretty sure I've seen at least one person get a doll in Wheat in one. They also sometimes have Milk and Wheat dolls in-stock. ^^

Here's a pic I got of the Wheats we have. The right one is K from before, pretty sure he's from late 2021. The left one was an in-stock, so I'm not sure how old it is, but pretty sure it's older than the K as the silicone nubs in it are yellowed compared to K's. (the head is a Switch Waseon in Milktea Rose)

Measurements are approximate, but the shoulder ball on the 04 body is 11cm and the 03 is 13cm. Might be doable if you don't mind modding the 03 shoulder ball to fit the 04 body?
