1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Ringdoll Grown Dolls, thread #9

Jan 29, 2021

    1. @Riku LIN They told you between Feb-Mar? I ordered mine with Alice's C in June... but on layaway with Xie Lian (July), I got Dianxia relatively fast but still waiting for HuaHua :sweat
@kyukyukyu almost the same as you, Xie Lian took 5 months, ordered him in July and got him in November, I ordered mine with Alice's Collections

    2. @NuttyRojita I will def update this thread when HC arrives I paid in full as the exchange rate had a downward trend (and not in my favour).

    3. @Riku LIN makes the wait easier when you know you aren't the only one ;)

    4. I also ordered mine in June, but from BJ Divas, and he hasn't arrived to them yet. Definitely taking longer than Xie Lian did, though i did order my XL from Ringdoll directly during the first run, in September, and he arrived at the end of January.

    5. You're very welcome! Happy to help. ^^
I hope you find the perfect match for your Sun Ce!

    6. Also ordered with Clover Singing in June! Got the same answer of “he’ll arrive February-March”, so I’m trying to keep hopes up.

    7. I finally finished my faceup for my mystery bag (haven't taken any good pics yet) and when testing out his hair... the wig is too big. I'm really sad about that! I have to find an alternate option now, but I'm struggling to find any. So if someone has recommendations for a good black ponytail wig similar to Tomioka Giyuu's for a Ringdoll...

    8. So Ringdoll finally sent me the pvc jointed hands (iirc after them forgetting I ordered during their 1st batch via taobao lol). The pair on top are from Ringdoll and the single one below is a yellow skin (recently dyed to color match NS) DF-H jointed hands.

The knuckles are a lil too 'bony' but its understandable as this is made of injected plastics and not resin....it would be too thin for pvc to hold up securely) The skintone perfectly matches resin (That's RD's heeled feet for their uncle sizes)

Wow, that's a little bit of waiting I hope it wasn't due to the same reasons my Xie Lian got delayed. (Chritmas, NYE and LNY and covid on all RD staff )so my January ETA got pushed to this month. He's currently clearing customs so my dealer (who ordered direct) says it will take up to April to arrive *sigh*

I hope everyone gets their hua cheng! (also i'm curious if my dealer wasn't telling the truth because i got in the 2nd batch of Hua cheng and i only received the puzzle, no cards and photo background!)

    9. The jointed hands look good! I’m glad to see that they blend well with the resin. Might check them out…

Yeah, a lot more waiting than I expected, tbh. I don’t blame Christina at all, but at this point, I wish I just ordered through Ringdoll. It would have cost a little bit more, but probably also would have come way earlier. I thought I ordered early on June 15, just after he went up, but apparently not… while I am pretty sure that I will get him, a part of me is a little scared that something went wrong with the order and I won’t actually get him for some reason. Would it be inappropriate to send another email asking? My last one was January 8th. This is my first experience preordering a doll, I’ve bought in stock dolls and preordered anime figures but this is a different experience for sure.

    10. Hmm, I don't know if it would hurt sending another email perse, but i think they did get a LOT more orders than they were expecting to. It's still fairly early in March, so there's still time for him to get to Clover Singing this month.

    11. That’s a good point! So I’ll probably wait, at least until April.

    12. Its a fair feeling, it costs so much more than the usual pre-order anime figure so it really is scary if something goes awry! :(

Does New Clover also receive the dolls first before sending out to their buyers? I think that adds up to the turnaround time--imho. But for most part I think most of the dolls should've been dispatched by now from RD directly so I agree with Quill to hang in a little more!

Sharing heavenly merits and donations to Puqi shrine for everyone that we finally get Hualian united! :XD::XD:

    14. Agreed! $800 is a lot for anyone, but I'm just a student with a part time job, so it's a lot a lot for me, haha. Doing the math, it's about 47 hours worth of work at my current job, and at the time I ordered him I didn't even have the job yet and made the money with commissions!

I'm hoping so! It's hard to wait, but I also know that she must be getting swamped with orders, particularly for Hua Cheng, so I'll wait. If I have to wait longer, it's fine- I'll just be happy to get him eventually. The anticipation combined with seeing pictures of him is hard sometimes, though! My real hope is that he gets here before May, and if not, before August when I'll be moving out for college...

    15. Depends of which anime figure u want to buy, some of them can cost like bjd or more, it was one of the reasons why i moved from anime figures to bjd hobby. Some game figures really cost like bjd, I have some buddy who buying them.

About NC, I think they not always sending directly from RD to buyer. Cos sometimes they need to add some items which u could grab with your order.

Upd; My HC in the way too ^^

    16. Forgot to report here, last Saturday my Hua Cheng arrived home; all his gadgets arrived complete and without any defect or damage, the faceup is absolutely beautiful, my mom said it was scary because he looked like a real person :XD:

The only downside for me was that Hua Cheng came without the eyelashes on, it was weird because Xie Lian came with his eyelashes on so it must have been that they were in a hurry to send the doll. The spare eyelashes were included for me next to the eyes and the eyeputty, but they are just the right size for each eye and I'm afraid of misplacing them since I'm inexperienced and don't have extra lashes :(
This won't have to do with the fact that he wears an eye patch, right? :nowords:
      still, it's beautiful:love

Here is a comparison between Hua Cheng and Xie Lian side by side.

I want to dress Hua Cheng, the only detail is the bracelets, I have no idea how I'm going to put them on, they are metallic and solid, I don't want to break the hands when I take them off, I'll have to do everything calmly :sweat

    17. Congrats on getting him! Mine seems to be more yellow toned in skin....interesting.

Many dolls come without lashes on. Almost all of mine, both painted and unpainted did not come with the eyelashes attached. Its fairly simple to do anyways! And I think its also practical to ship him without the lashes on to not interfere with the eyepatch (which honestly, I'm not comfortable using as is without some light cloth to prevent any staining)

For the bracelets, its really unfortunate that you will need to take out the hands. This is relatively simple because of the hook system inside...its a godsend imho vs using a stick like xie lian's
If you don't know how, just try to stretch the hand outwards, you'll see a small hole along the innder part of the wrist joint, you can hook the metal part there to take off the hand and put on the bracelets. A little care needed to stop it from chipping down the road but otherwise, a very good system :)

      Enjoy!
