Oh no...I hadn't even thought of them making new TGCF dolls at some point T_T please, my wallet can't take that!! Unless they let us buy just the outfits. I'd love that! But it doesn't seem like they really like doing that, sadly

 

Selling new outfits would be so nice, but yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if you have to buy the whole fullset. Having a doll of Xie Lian in his full Crown Prince makeup would be beautiful… but if they make a second Xie Lian, I’d need a second Hua Cheng, and boom, there goes 1600 USD!

 

At least that much, yeah T_T

But his Taizi Dianxia outfit would be awesome!! that will come with worthy accessories for sure!

 

on a different note:

i am curious, did anyone get a different skintone for their pvc hands? i'm still unable to use mine because my only NS Pink doll, zhou yu is now out of commission and the hands are just idling there....

I now want to attempt dye it but the information is mixed on what type of plastic it is.

 

Good point! Or a punch card system, buy nine and get the last one free, haha. I'd really prefer them to make SVSSS dolls, or dolls from another danmei, over making more TGCF dolls, as much as I love Hualian. The lack of SVSSS merch is really a travesty...

Speaking of, did anyone ever figure out how the gifts worked? Like with Hua Cheng or Xie Lian? Because I never got any of the extras that were unlocked with Hua Cheng, and i see they have gifts to unlock for WWX too.

 

THERE'S BLURRY IMAGES OF A LWJ DOLL TOO!! but i can't tell if that's the old one or a new one. it looks like the same height as new wwx, which would mean it's a new one, but that could also just be staging

 

Unfortunately,no... I couldn't get any gifts with my Hua Cheng. On top of it, Ringdoll always writes "free doll stand.." and up until now I didn't receive any! Even though I bought the dolls at the beginning of their campaign....

 

I have a feeling he'll be released too...

Its really timing. Like a certain order number within xx minutes....at least for Taobao. I didn't manage to get all the gifts for Hua Cheng (no backdrop) but I got pretty much everything for XL)

 

Wow, he's awfully pretty! I wonder about the LWJ doll too. It's possible it could just be a rerelease, but I agree that it feels unlikely that they would just do that when they're doing an entirely new WWX. Especially since, as some people pointed out, the scale would be off now that WWX is on the RGM5 body.

For the bonuses, I got all of Hua Cheng's (ordered from Clover Singing), but I ordered five days after he went up for release. So maybe that's why? I wish I could get Xie Lian's bonuses, but I ordered from an in-stock Taobao listing in March(?) of 2022, so no bonuses were included.

 

I ordered the day he was released, but I did a layaway through BJDivas, so maybe it's based on whenever they placed the order. My Xie Lian I ordered directly from Ringdoll a few days before his first preorder closed though, although I noticed he was still for sale on their website after the listed end date. The only thing they had listed as a bonus were the postcards when I ordered him though, so I didn't even know there were others!

 

I did get the postcards too! The only bonus I really want is the backgrounds, which I luckily got with Hua Cheng and it's more than big enough to fit both of them in front of it. I just haven't hung it yet since I'll be moving in a little more than a month, and will have more room to hang it in my new place.

 

I'd love one of the backdrops :/ It was never actually clear how getting one worked when they announced it for Hua Cheng though, and i didn't know there had been one for Xie Lian until i saw some people mention it here, since they didn't have it on their website, at least for his first pre-order

 

I also had no idea that there was a Xie Lian background. I’m not even sure what it looks like. Maybe you can find someone interested in selling or trading theirs? The card and puzzle bonuses, while nice, feel a bit random. I don’t think I’ll be playing poker with Hua Cheng BJD cards anytime soon.

 

They got me lol I grabbed Wei Wuxian. I was debating and couldn't resist! I usually do so well most of the year refraining and then bam, there's all these releases I want and ofc at the same time, lolol.

 

I can't blame you, he really is beautiful! I feel so lucky that I don't main Wangxian or he'd be getting my collecting budget for the summer... I look forward to seeing pictures once he arrives!

 

The way I found out about the freebies is always via their weibo and QQ supergroup chat. I also remember seeing someone selling their Hualian (both dolls) with literally every freebie that came with the pair over at marketplace a few months back. Not sure if its still there but dang lol!
Same I would rather the backdrop as I have no use for a pack of cards and puzzles so I plan on gifting them away at an IRL event for Hualian or MXTX
