You're right about Decree Dog, actually! But I also agree about the Ringdoll teen body. He needs something a little softer, though it seems like most BJD male bodies stick to more muscled/lean muscled. I wouldn't mind seeing someone do mods to make it less buff (maybe putting clay in the gutters of the abs, but again, I'd be scared to do that unless I saw someone else try it first). Probably best to find a softer male body. I'd even consider trying the Ringdoll girl teen body with a switch of chest plate to a male one, since it's not extremely curvy other than the bust, but that also may not work.
I agree that LWJ is super pretty! WWX somehow falls into uncanny valley for me though, even though BJDs rarely do.

 

Yeah I'm a little afraid to do body mods on something so expensive! I don't mind trying them on fashion dolls but BJD's are so much more costly >< Luckily I've found a few bodies from other companies that I think would work for a hybrid!

 

Same! I was scared to even blush mine, and my friend thought I was insane for doing it on something so expensive. If I may ask, what bodies are you looking at? I'd love my own Moshang and Bingqiu... maybe a side of Liu Qingge for Shen Qingqiu, as a treat. But that's five dolls, and my wallet will absolutely die.

 

Liu Qingge deserves more love too! There are a lot of dolls that would make a pretty LQG!

I like this one from DFH, and Guu Doll has one that looks nice, but is a little short. The one from DFA also looks nice, but still pretty muscled, just not as harsh as the one from Ringdoll looks. I know DFH can color match resin, but I'm not sure about Guu Doll or DFA.
I actually really like Ozhu's face sculpt, I just don't know if the head would fit on a smaller body well, so I've been trying to look at other options that are already in the 62/65 cm range instead. But I keep coming back to him for a choice, so I might go with him anyway and figure out a body later.

 

The DFH one is super nice! I think that was the one I would go with, personally. Ozhu's face sculpt is also very nice for him, but I agree that I'd be nervous about it fitting on a smaller body. I love the open mouth look though, and think that would work pretty good for SQH.

 

Sorry a little OOT but I see fellow SV lovers omg. It would be awesome to have RD make Bingqiu as well!

But given the state of things....I would love to see what you both come up with! Will any of you document your journey in creating Bingqiu and Moshang?? (As someone making a pair of dolls that's niche in danmei too, I feel strongly and I want to support!)

 

If I get the opportunity to make the dolls, I definitely will! I've always wanted to make a doll customization YouTube channel as I've watched them since I was super little, so maybe this is the sign...

No surprise with Hua Cheng sparking such a buzz and with RD having so many of these boys sculpted. You'd think they'd make at least all the leading men from all the series

 

I would love if Ringdoll made SQQ and LBH, but I also agree with the line of thinking that I just dont think the series is popular enough unfortunately. I was considering customizing different sculpts too, but it would have to be way in the future when I can actually afford it. Hua Cheng made my wallet cry Which, on another note, congrats to Ringdoll for selling 1000+ Hua Cheng sets!

I think that outfit is made by a fan! It appears to be a repost from a fan account. So it doesn't look like we're getting a new official outfit, sadly.

 

Maybe I can borrow XL and Fafa to cosplay as Bingqiu! Using the RD Hualian dolls feel like they could work given their relative height!

Xie Lian's first release had them bonuses too, so they might add it in the re-release! I'm keen on the photography background actually. The cards, not too much, but its nice to have fafa's face plastered on my desk haha!

Yes, the Taizi Dianxia outfits RD reposts are fanmade. There's one that's super stunning that they reposted too!

While waiting on all the newer boys. I think Lucky (Bai Zhi) will look great cosplaying Howl. He is waiting patiently for me to make some clothes for him.
