I'm back to the "why did I not think of that" moment

 

I tend to make my own eyes for those who need smaller irises, however I'm 99% sure you'd be able to find Etsy sellers who could make custom eyes, like Ashuradark or Galaxy Nook?

 

Anyone notice that their Xie Lian's nose is just barely asymmetrical? Maybe it's just the way the makeup/lighting is on mine in this instance, but I just noticed it today. Sorry about the grainy picture btw, old phone that will be upgraded this week.

 

I haven't noticed that personally, but i also don't spend a lot of time looking at him up close xD Its' definitely not as bad as the asymmetry i've noticed in some dolls form other companies. If his eyes weren't even would bother me. But if his nose is a little crooked, well he is a martial god ;D

 

I only was looking at him so up close because I was fixing his nose blushing (the reason I was staring at his nose for like 20 minutes straight, haha). I don't mind that he may be a little asymmetrical, I think it's actually kind of cool, makes him more realistic! Definitely not something you'd notice unless you were looking for it, but an interesting little detail I thought I'd share.

 

It's kinda cool because it shows that he was hand sculpted as opposed to created in the 3D program (not that there's anything wrong with 3D, it's just an interesting distinction).

My Elzevir arrived yesterday and oh my gosh he's so cute! I can't share photos just yet because my phone is still not synching correctly, but he's every bit as lovely as the promo photos!

 

doll Legend jointed hands look nice on rgm-3! May i know what's the resin tone for your doll legend hand?

And may i have a few photos of 1/3 DF-H hands on rgm-3 wrist?

 

My Hua Cheng arrived today!!! I literally screamed at 8 in the evening! I'll have to take some photos later!

Also some progress for my Yan Wushi using Zhou Yu! I'm getting my eye molds this weekend so hoping I can replace the too dark eyes soon

So jealous!! Every day I pray for mine to come home soon. And his WIP is looking awesome! The wig is on point. Did you make it yourself, or buy it?

I partially made the wig! Modified a front lace wig I bought by stitching the white saran hair strand by strand (not too bad once you get the hang of it!) and followed the contour of the widow's peak

A little review on him:
Those arm bracers sure are heavy (along with the belts!), his arms won't pose beyond what he's doing on the photo. Idk if sueding the joints would help.
The wig came in a little crunchy and messy so I had to fight it. He really had a bad hair day in the box lol. That bad hair day would be worse with the eye patch if you don't pin it. I swear its better to remake the eyepatch and the bracers. The shoes were a bit meh but I'll forgive since his hanfu kinda hides the top part..

I should probably borrow my Zhou Yu body for him to transform into twink San Lang

E'ming makes me laugh though that *eye* is hilarious! Otherwise, I think He's gorgeous and the faceup is pretty well done, so I'm happy

 

Oooh, he's lovely!! That's good to know about the bracers. I'd imagine sueding might help with the posability, at least a little.

Out of curiosity, what body is your Zhou Yu on? I'd love to know how big he is compared to the 72ish cm boys xD

 

He's got the RGM 03 body (a bit beefy but nothing clothes can't hide) and I think he's be the same height as Dianxia

 

So pretty! It's interesting that the metal portions are so heavy, I wasn't sure if I should expect solid heavy metal. Turns out I should. Not looking forward to messy wig, bc I'm so bad with wigs!

 

You'd be surprised at how light e'ming is when you hold the bag containing the metal parts. I might try to repaint him with chrome paint so it doesn't look too cheap beside Fafa's jewelry.

The tattoo he came with is the donghua design alright ;-;

I think the wig had a rough time because the space in the box was a bit big so it probably got shaken a lot for me. They provide a tiny comb at least so he can sort himself

 

It's too bad that E-Ming is lighter. I'm guessing they wanted him to be more liftable by the doll, but it seems like a moot point if his jewelry is so heavy!

Ah dang, that's too bad. I way prefer the manhua design. Well... maybe I can try to do it myself.

 

Zhou Yu has a RGM-body-3 (70.5 cm) and Xie Lian a RGM-body-4 (68 cm).

 

Oh you are right! I stand corrected--But I think that would still be perfect because San Lang would still be taller than Xie Lian but not a huge difference vs his Ghost King form
