1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I can't imagine they are not doing well, so many people have ordered a Yumi lately! I think it's more logical that there is a problem with the new body or the new dolls, or just because they can't handle all the orders :)

    2. glass_mountain & toydogz4 - Re: Blythe pants, one tip: elasticated waistbands only! ;) Blythe has a skinnier waist than Yumi. Ming has been wearing Blythe shorts that have some stretch in them.

    3. Yay! Hm (envisions self writing to sellers of Blythe clothes to pop the question LOL)

Cherrily, thanks for the reassurance. I'm sure you are right. They are a small outfit and have probably been blitzed with demands for Rudy and Yumi from all directions.

Which must be a Good Thing :)

    4. I used to make Blythe clothes to sell for years, and Inamourada is right ^^
Elastic waists are the way to go if you buy Blythe pants for your Roono - but even they might not *always* fit well. I originally made the pants that Sparrow is wearing for my Blythes, and it has an elastic waist, but it still was a struggle to get it on - to the point that I actually had to break the elastic inside.. but it fits like a glove now *laughs*
I have to add that the pants were meant to have a nice fit on a Blythe waist, so that is something you might want to avoid, and choose a more relaxed fit instead.

oh, and long sleeves in Blythe shirts and sweaters are too short as well (for my taste, I like the joints covered), so I made Sparrow a shirt of her own with longer sleeves.

But that is about all I tried, she refuses to wear anything else than her beloved black outfit now.

    5. Oh yes, Sparrow, how I love to see her adventures! Maybe she will convince you to sew some pants in her size for sale for her future inventions fund? She has tamed a car and a broom, what next?

    6. Thanks so much, toydogz4! I'm glad you enjoy her stories. They're fun to do!
Heh.. I'm not planning on going back to Blythe size clothing any soon - Sparrow can earn herself some pocket money by using her broom to sweep up the mess she always leaves behind ^^

    7. Will you be making outfits for Yumi and Rudy at all? (looks hopeful)^^;;

(I edited this as it looked wrong - sorry!)

    8. My post is deleted until I hear back from Roonodoll regarding the quality (or lack of) on the dolls I received and what they intend to do. Until then you can contact me by PM if you have any questions.

    9. My Yumi should have been sent out exactly a week ago, but still no tracking number!

    10. Oh, and I paid for shipping with tracking!
I have asked numerous times but no answer whatsoever.

    11. They did reply to me the week before last. They said they would post the doll out next Monday (that would have been 10th March, I think) and that they would send me a tracking number.

Since then, I've had no further messages, either on the board or by email.

Has anyone else had this problem aside from me and Cherrily?

    12. I think we ordered the same time, and I had no word, but my Yumi and wig arrived today!
She is as lovely as I envisioned. A little odd in the lower leg, but stands well.

I love her. I'll have to get my camera out. Good luck with your order. I hope this is encouraging.

    13. Patricia, did you take her wig off and look at her headcap? Love to know what you think after your doll is examined, and if the problem is only with all three(!) of the dolls I received, or all of the dolls being send out.

    14. Thank you, Patricia - I think I may write to them again, or maybe in a couple of days if nothing arrives :)

    15. She has a small groove above each ear and the edges of her head cap are a little rough - none of which bothers me. She looks fine everywhere else. All the color seems to match.

Her bum has a little blue mark - I think from the jeans. It wasn't there when she came. I will try Mr. Clean eraser.

      I really like her.

    16. Aw, I'm sorry! I don't have plans to do tiny sizes.. I really enjoy making clothes for the slender mini's, and I hope to continue sewing those for another while :)

I just checked my Yumi's head, and I don't see anything wrong with her headcap or the head itself.
Same for her body - the resin is very smooth (and best: not shiny!), and it is a lovely quality and color - no rough edges, mismatch or discoloring anywhere. She is version 1.2.
The only problem I had with her was her posing - or total lack thereof. But after sueding and wiring she does fine.
I love my little critter dearly, and I'm really sorry to hear that you have encountered quality problems with all three of your new girls!

    17. Fortunately Roonodoll has responded to me and acknowledged the problems, hope we can come to a sastisfactory solution. I am very happy that everyone elses dolls are acceptable.
I have to say, that although mine are not what anyone would expect to have received, the concept of the dolls themselves, and the basic improvements to the body that they have done is wonderful. The faces and faceups are lovely, very detailed and very cute. The improvements to the sculpting and engineering of the body is much improved over the first version, although they still need to work on the knees and sitting. I just wish they would have taken the care and time with my dolls that they seem to have with others.

    18. I have received an email from Roono yesterday (just before I killed them) with the tracking number. Yumi is in the post office now, so I can pick her up tomorrow! Yay!

It seems there are not so many Yumi pictures around lately, too bad! I would really love to see some inspiring shots of this beautiful doll!

    19. toydogz4, I'm really sorry to hear of your problems - I hope Roono will resolve them.

My update is that, like Cherrily, I got an email from Tommy today with the tracking number, whereupon Yumi promptly showed up on the doorstep.

She is lovely, and I don't seem to find any problems with her resin or poseability. To tell the truth, I haven't looked under her wig!

The only problem I have had is that the heel came off one of her boots when I was trying to put them on, but they just need a dab of glue.

Her name is Zoe (or Zooey) and she seems quite pleased to be here!

    20. :) Well, all my slender minis are very happy to hear that! This is a bit OT, but I'm going to have 4 soon, so you will have some customers...;)
