The price is a bit higher than the limit I fixed for myself, though that sculpt seems absolutely worth it ( I especially loved Geneo, Tresno and Erato).

I'd love to see what people will do to these sculpts though! Best of luck to you all.

 

Helene is talking about potentially releasing a darker shade of resin for rites of passage! There needs to be enough interest, so they’re looking for feedback since it sounds like there’s an order minimum requirement.

 

How dark are we talking? I was down with cinnamon myself, so probably not, but I am curious to see the shade. EDIT: Nevermind, I saw it. Looks nice, but it's not for me.

Sounds like Helene is shelving the project and seems to have no plans to return to it (at this time anyway, who knows about the future, but I won’t hold my breath). Considering all the stress she’s been dealing with as of late, can’t exactly blame her. Doesn’t stop me from feeling super bummed out though lmao. Guess my last doll will be either the Asella Raspberry or Dust of Dolls Cham Namu I’m currently waiting on. Depends on who gets here first.

 

I just read that news as well @Singull ! I feel so bad for her. All that work!

 

@DraloreShimare Yeah, I can’t imagine how frustrating this news was for her. x_x It’s been a pretty crappy season for shipping dolls it seems due to all the heat. Harucasting had a number of customers that had dolls arriving with warped/broken parts.

 

Just saw the news on Instagram. It's such a shame that all of her hard work has gone to waste like that. I hope she can revisit the project in the future, but she probably needs a break after what's been happening recently.

 

It's awful. I think it's best to shelve the project for now, there has been so much going on...

Thankfully (?) being a 3D-printer master sculpt, the main thing is not lost, so to speak. At least she still can re-print, re-sand, re-adjust the parts that were destroyed. It would be a big time and effort commitment, but at least, it is feasible-ish? So there is a silver lining in all that, I guess.

But I can understand feeling down and wanting to concentrate on other things. That's truly unlucky.

 

This is really horrible for her. All her work, these months of preparation, sweat and possible some tears lost. I can only imagine how she must feel know, and this on top of all the other personal stress.
I really hope a longer break from this will help her, it´s the best she can do. All the best to her!

 

I woke up to this devastating news. And suddenly stopped feeling bad for myself for not being able to get one of those boys. Now I feel so very sad for Helene. She invested so much time and energy in this project. Seeing it destroyed on the last step is heartbreaking.

 

I came here just because it is so sad. To think of how far she got, when it should have been safe. How horrible.

 

I'm really heart broken for her. She worked so, so hard on this project and to get that news...

 

I too was planning on getting one of the bigger boys and possibly a head. Following her every step along the way and seeing how much care and thought she put into this, and now the devastation is so sad. Add in the family health issues, when it rains it pours. My heart aches for her. Who would have thought this would happen. I hope it doesn't discourage her, she seems to enjoy it and is very talented. maybe she will revisit it in a year or so.

it does seem like she has sent the dolls to the caster after all. I know the troubles with back pain all too well. I also had a herniated disks because of the inactivity the lockdown of covid caused. Poor thing seemed to have a few of them and is still recovering.

 

Yay, she's back! I was worried. She had a really rough 2021. Understandable she went offline. And yes, it seems she is going to print the Rites of Passage after all.

 

It's terrible to hear that she had such an awful end to the year, but I'm so glad she's back now!
I'm excited for the potential pre-order, but not sure if I can afford it if it's in the next month or so

 

wow, props to her for trying again. It'd be really difficult to remake the masters a second time. It's incredibly kind of her to give her fans an opportunity to own those sculpts. I hope everything goes smoothly this time!
