Saintbloom Tiny discussion part 1

Hi guys... my Charlotte arrived yesterday! She is still nameless so suggestions are welcome.

Her previous owner had just sent her away to have a new face up. I added a tiny bit of blush and eyelashes. I'm thinking about giving her a light body blush and natural nails too. She came with that wig that I'm really starting to like now. Although I wish it was a bit lighter in colour.

For clothes, I just threw something together that I had and coincidentally fitted her. I will probably sew her some clothes, she certainly deserves to have them She definitely needs leggings to cover her long legs and bare bum , so I will be making a bunch of those (after my snowboarding trip).

For shoes, I have 2 pair that seem to fit. Looking around for the perfect pair, it seems like her shoe size is actually pretty standard yo-sd. I only have Ange Ai to compare, and the foot length is the same but Ange Ai's foot is a bit wider.

What do you think? Do you think most yo-sd shoes would fit?
The majority of ReleaseRain and Mimiwoo boots seem a bit wide and chunky.
Did any of you try Ruby Red Galleria boots or shoes on her?

 

Cherrily, She's so CUTE!! Congratulations! I have been lurking on this thread, so I haven't posted before now. I am going to get the Charlotte in brown, and I'm pretty excited.
The face up on your sweet girl is so nice; I like how she looks so young. I see these girls as fairly young teenagers, and her face up looks the part to me. Her hair and the outfit you have on her is adorable, and the boots with the fringe and the brown flats are the ones I think are super cute and stylish for her age.

Congratulations Cherrily! She's beautiful! I like the fringed boots by Releaserain. I think Mr Saintbloom's dolls have some and they look great in them.

10 days until my tan Charlotte ships. I really can't wait to meet Kahlua. I've also gone a bit mad by buying a ton of clothes and accessories for her :s I've got some dungaree shorts by TTYA coming, some sneakers and skater shoes, leggings and I've got some bedding too...even though she doesn't actually have a bed yet.

I want to create a room box/diorama for her eventually.

Thanks Cherrily, I will definitely be posting lots of pictures of her. I received some shoes for her today and just looking at those is making me super excited!

 

Okay I have a secret to tell you guys, Saintbloom let me order a Brown Betty when he sent them for tan samples. He hasn't heard back from the factory yet, but I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!! I didn't want to let it out but I've been holding it in for so long that I just can't contain the excitement anymore. Saintbloom is such an amazing person! I hope to have her mailed out with the rest of the tan girls, but I'm okay with having to wait a bit longer.

Anyway, for those asking about my mods and Saintbloom Rosemary posing abilities, I made a thread with some pictures of her posing, and you're all welcome to add to it.

The range of poses in your thread is great, I was thinking about modding mine to have a mobility joint at the top of her thighs, but I don't see the need now that there's so many poses she'll be able to hold. I think I will do the slouch mod though.

 

Your girl is so pretty Kayke, I love the mods!
And I am looking forward to see the tan Betty. She would probably be the next doll on my list too...
If you planning on modding Betty too, please be careful! Sanding a tan doll can have some unexpected results.



I made my girl tights, shorts, a sweater and an infinity scarf. Not a bad start after a looong sewing-for-dolls hiatus

She still didn't tell me her name. Why are the dolls you love most the ones that are impossible to name?

 

Oh, did you make a pattern for any of the clothes you made her?

Today's the day! No shipping notice yet though. When did the white Saintbloom orders get their shipping notices? Was it actually on October 31st or afterwards?

 

I did make some really basic patterns, but I'm not sure if they will be very useful... I never put any info on them like seam allowance or instructions. PM if you're interested anyway. I can also sew some leggings/tights if you want?

There doesn't seem to be many of the Betty or Diana. . . I would love to see more of them.

Did anyone receive a shipment notification for the tan dolls yet?

 

I've had an email from Mr Saintbloom saying shipping for Brown Rosemarys will be from 31st Jan to 15th Feb, and emails with tracking numbers will go out as each doll is shipped. There must be some delays with the tan skin.

 

Mr. Saintbloom said my Brown Betty will be shipped between Jan 15th to Jan 31st. I think Saintbloom put in all orders to the factory for the tan period after December 24th (most likely on the 31st) so that he could contact the factory all at once instead of through individual orders. My order was an exception because he already had Diana and Betty sent out for a tan sampling. Does that make sense?

In any case, after they are mailed out they arrive in about 4 days, so it's not too long of a wait. I am just thankful it's not as long as other companies- I just don't have the patience!
