1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Saintbloom Tiny discussion part 1

Mar 31, 2012

    1. I've never bought doll clothes off taobao is it quite easy to find stuff??

    2. It can be a little tricky! Google translate only takes you so far ;)

The easiest way to search is 'bjd' and then the size/scale you're after 1/6 (yosd), 1/4 (mini), 1/3 (Sd) etc

Granted that will bring up everything so you do need to wade through a lot of rubbish. I can't remember if I'm allowed to post direct links but I can share some of the shops I frequent.

You can also google 'taobao bjd search terms' which returns some Chinese characters you can use to search :)

    3. Em that's great! Thanks so much for the advice, I will certainly have to have a good look through in the near future! If you know of any particular taobao shops/stores that fit well for saintbloom, would you be able to pm them to me (rather than post on here if its not allowed?)
I really do need to get my willow some clothes of her own!

    4. Is anyone else having issues with Saintbloom atm? I'm owed an order, but it was 2 weeks overdue (according to the dates they gave me) before the death in the family notice was posted to the site a week ago, so I have no idea what's happening now. Contact has been patchy at best, and always at my instigation despite them saying they would mail me if there were any delays, so I'm wondering now if I should be concerned or if I just have appalling timing and they really did hit both family emergencies and casting issues just at the time of my order...

    5. Lulu, I ordered a Charlie in August, I think, and she was delivered within 2-3 days of the anticipated delivery date. I've read all through this thread previously, and I don't recall that anyone has ever had a problem with delivery. My instinct would be to trust them and believe that there has been some family emergency. I've exchanged a couple of emails with Mr. Saintbloom and he has always been prompt and courteous.

    6. Thanks for the reassurance. I did indeed eventually get the doll although the tracking wasn't great and the box just turned up one day! Sadly she wasn't in great condition tho, I think she was really rushed out and the quality control certainly suffered as a result! Well, I sincerely hope they're not usually sent out in that state, and this was a one off, anyway! Essentially, she was in bits in the box because all the pins in her wrists and ankles fell out in transit (mercifully I found them in the bubble wrap), I'm guessing it was in transit anyway...also the box was rife with little bits of shed resin, she had a number of razor sharp edges to her joints and one of the wrist pin holes is in a completely different position to the other one, so the posing is shot on that side.

The other two I have I got second hand, so now I'm wondering if their previous owners just did all the work on them?! She's basically a kit doll in her current state, given the amount of sanding and repair work needed, which I'm fine with, but it might have been nice to know that in advance. Either way, there seems little point in contacting Saintbloom about it since it's clear there were some issues keeping them from concentrating on the business and sadly it REALLY showed. :/

    7. Lulu, I checked his website out of curiosity. His father died last week, and he indicates that he will resume business next week. As for the condition of your doll, I have never heard of anyone getting one in that condition. My Charlie was in perfect condition with a beautiful faceup when she came from him. I hope you will overlook this. I would certainly do business with him again and hope you will, too, if so inclined.

    8. That notice on the site has been there around a fortnight now, might be a bit longer tbh, and certainly longer than a week. I have to admit I stopped paying a great deal of attention once I actually got the doll since that was enough of a mission to put me off for good. I doubt I'll be back to buying new from them again. I spent a whole day sanding, restringing and fixing the damage on her, I expect to have to do that with second hand resin, but not brand new from company unless I'm warned in advance of the state I'm going to get it in. Good to know everyone else gets sterling service tho, clearly I got the one raw deal which is a shame, because I absolutely adore their dolls and would happily have supported them more.

    9. I'm still waiting on a doll from him. :/ It'll be 2 months on the 13th since I placed my order. I know his father has passed away and I don't want to contact him because of that... but his message has been up for a few weeks and I still haven't heard anything. I also didn't get an estimated delivery date when I placed my order. Should I email him? Is that a mean thing to do? :c

    10. GamerGirlLexi, my contacts with him have been good. I think a gentle inquiry would be in order. My impression from my limited contacts is that he is very proud of his dolls and wants to do well.

    11. oh how quiet here. So here is photo of my Charlotte on autumn walk :)

    12. So apparently she was at the post office but they didn't leave a slip. ^_^' Picked her up yesterday and she's so lovely! Now to smother her with clothes! :D

    13. Congratulations on your new girl! Is she a Collette? It's a little hard to tell from the pictures. I just purchased a tan Charlotte who is being shipped to me from Europe. That makes four of these gals I've been able to bring together so I think it's time to work on some winter duds for them. Most of what I have is summerish, and it's getting too cold for that!

    14. And, Shaiel, I meant to say that I loved your girl, too. The red hair is really pretty on her. I have had a bit of a problem with wigs since a couple of mine are missing the support on the inside of the head plate which makes keeping on wigs a problem, but the person sending me the new doll is also sending that loose part from her doll as well. I am hoping that when she arrives I can duplicate the piece with sculpey and glue it into the head caps to stabilize them more. If not, I am hoping I can replace the head caps from Mr. Saintbloom.

    15. Mhm! She's a Colette. I'll post photos of her with a faceup as soon as I get her eyes! ^_^

    16. Shaiel> Your Charlotte is lovely!!
GamerGirlLexi> I can't wait to see your Colette with her faceup and outfit!!

Here is Diana with another wig ♥

    17. Your Diana is really pretty. I like her wig. The only thing that I have found I am not so happy about with these girls is their head size. I am not finding a big variety of wigs for them.

    18. Can anyone tell me how much a Saintbloom dolly costs? I tried to find it on the website but it seems to be missing quite some info :s
And does anyone know if he sells the body's seperately to?

    19. Hi!
If you go here: http://saintbloom.com/eng/info.html and click on the sculpt you want, all the pricing etc is under the photos. He is also open for orders of white skin and brown skin Charlie right now, until the 7th, so if you are keen on them, better get in quick! XD
I haven't heard of him selling the bodies seperately, but you could always message him. I've found him to be friendly and helpful with answering messages, even if a little slow sometimes.

    20. Hello.
      I'm thinkng about SaintBloom.
Now they sell Charlie in Brown, white.
I think about Betty and Charlotte....but I have a interest to another skin color.
      ...^^ so funny time.
I love Shaiel's Charlotte so much!
