Saintbloom Tiny discussion part 1

Here's an update on my end:

I called Paypal, they let me open the claim since his website disappeared. After 10 days, Saintbloom did not respond to the Paypal claim so the funds were reversed back to me today.

I sincerely hope Mr. Saintbloom is okay. I do not think he would purposefully drop off of the face of the Earth like this.

I came here because of Beansproutmomo =v= We were casually chatting about chalk on synthetic wigs and I happened to check her Flickr that had the cutest face (Charlie) and bam. I am here because I can't access the website

The internet is a bad bad place.

Now I want one. *grabby hands* I might sell my neglected YoSD for one :X We'll see. Their proportions are very interesting, they look slender and curvier, like an adult YoSD, so I don't see how they can fit into YoSD clothes? :S The shoes I know they don't, but clothes. I bought a lot of YoSD clothes that never even got used, so it would be nice to put them to use...

On the website issue, when did this happen exactly? It seems like its not just these past few weeks, but a month maybe? I hope nothing is horribly wrong, and perhaps its just a web server issue.

For now, I will hunt down a Charlie. *holds onto hat and bounces off*

 

In my experience looking at Saintblooms in standard Yosd clothes. They fit but they're a tiny bit baggy and don't hug the doll's curves. Simple tshirts definitely look cute though!

I thiiink it hasn't been more than a month now? The yahoo mail associated with his flickr doesn't work either. I don't know if messaging his naver email has proven useful to anyone.

It'd be nice if its just server issues! I kind of hope it is, now that you mention it, because that can be fixed easily enough.

Oh yeah, - I am completely with you on how evil the internet is! I have a large collection of wonderful dolls to thank flickr and DoA for, and not much money

On the subject of Saintbloom and YoSD clothes/shoes... My Saintbloom fits into pretty much all the shoes I have that were originally for my littlefee. (I know littlefee are not really typical YoSD sizing either, but most of the shoes I have were marketed as YoSD size)
Clothing... Again, I'm going to compare to littlefee, because that is all I have. Saintbloom are taller and slimmer, with longer limbs, but some of the clothes I have for my littlefee fit. Especially dresses with either no sleeves or short sleeves (long sleeves typically look like they have outgrown the clothes!) Trousers definately do not fit (too short!), but I have some TTYA jean shorts that do fit well (And look very cute with her long legs)
I posted a pic earlier in this thread of her wearing a TTYA floral sweatshirt, which is a good fit on her. The arms were just the right length.

Good luck tracking down a Charlie, - I love her face too. She would be my second fave next to Diana, which is what my girl is.

I see they take 10mm eyes, such small little gumdrops those would be >_< Also, would Blythe clothes/shoes fit any of them? I know a lot of Blythe owners now switch from the standard stiff Blythe body to the Azone doll body, which is a little chubbier, so would Azone items fit them as well?

Still trying to decide on whether or not I actually want one of these cuties. Must figure out a character first :P

 

I do not think it was server issues. I won my Paypal claim by default because Saintbloom did not respond to it at all. I think he may be offline completely, wherever he is. I don't think he left intentionally, because he told me when I ordered my doll, that he was working on a double jointed body.

I am afraid that maybe he was in an accident or something that prevented him from accessing a computer.

 

I agree with Kayke, reading up about him loosing his father and then the abrupt disappearance with details of his email and websites not having been updated... I believe he is totally absent from the internet. I don't have a personal relationship with Saintbloom's artist, but it seems to me something has happened in his personal life. I hope he is able to handle and return. It's terrible to think that maybe he has met with an illness or injury that is keeping him from the computer.

 

Honestly that's what I thought so at first but I kinda didn't want to be so negative, we may be far off from the truth, or close to it, no one knows I'm not too upset, I can wait, it's just a doll, but I feel bad for anyone waiting on some that didn't ship out yet, that sounds awful.
I may be partially correct in the fact that it is probably something like he didn't pay his website bills because of, like you said, not being able to access a computer, which may or may not be as a result of something terribly serious o_o

 

Bumping this thread to say that SaintBloom's website is back up Doesn't seem to have a notice about the disappearance though..

Is anyone getting replies from him now?

 

Oh this is good news! Though I hope he gives us some semblance of an explanation, even if it's just "Personal issues caused delay."

 

Its good to see Saintbloom is back, - his dolls are so cute, it would be a shame if he permanently disappeared.

I took a few minutes with my Atareta this morning (Brown Diana). She really needed a good closeup shot for her Flickr album, and she was also keen to show off her cute boots. My littlefee is leaving us, so Atareta has inherited all her shoes, and feeling quite good about it, in a very unimpressed teenage way of course

I gave a custom cut to a wig I had lying around. It love this look on Jonne, my Saintbloom Charlie! I was thinking of giving her a new face up but this is MUCH better.

The size is 5-6 (probably a bit big, but fits with rubber wigcap) and the brand is JF-styler.

Wow! I just checked out Saint Blooms site again and I'm in love with Colette! What a sweetie.

Has anyone ordered recently? I'm a little nervous now. But I might be able to save a for at least one blank girl in a reasonable amount of time.

I think most people are looking for secondhand dolls right now.
