Sartoria J Design Group - Part 2

My fog gray SD Sarah arrived in the mail today. Sadly, she had two pieces chipped off the ankle end of her right side shin, I found them in the package but will probably not attempt to glue them in. The box she came in was okay aside from a few normal scuffs, so it hasn't been an awfully rough ride she had. I think I found the reason for the chip by looking at the intact ankle against light from the inside, it is quite thin at the front and light shines through. I have contacted SartoriaJ about the issue with pictures, and already got told by someone kind on IG that they had the same happen and Sartoria sent them a replacement shin after 3 months wait. That is something I suppose will also happen with my doll. Since I have Vittoria on order, I am open to letting them ship my extra shin with her too.

Here she is with an Iple EID for a comparison. Overall EID has less butt curve especially in 3/4 angle, but other than that their proportion doesn't seem too much different. Personally I like the Sartoria body more, especially the arm jonting gives a nice range of movement. The fog gray is a lovely colour, she is my first gray or in fact any unnatural colour doll. It is hard to capture on phone camera, but the skin does have a light purple undertone like shown on SJ pics. I got her with both Gumiho and normal head, here she has normal pictured.

 

LOL, I had the same thing happen with the fog greys, except it was margaritas.

I'm sorry she came chipped. That's a bummer. Hopefully everything gets sorted out with SJ.

Quick question, it's been a while since I've ordered from SJ - how long are they taking to ship orders with just clothing?

@Khlovera - Wow!! He's so handsome!

 

@Quiet and Insane - It seems to me like SJ takes a long time even to ship just clothing...like over two months...if not longer. Now, that might be for "newly" offered outfits...but even close to that for older designs...it seems.

 

But still better than Legend Doll.

 

I’ve been waiting since 8/6/2021 for a doll and clothing items. Hopefully they will ship soon.

 

Oh wow, that long for clothing? Is it made to order or something? Hmm. Perhaps I will wait until after Lunar New Year.

 

long time did not wrote here. so my Naomi on warm ivory dew type bust arrived few days ago. i don't know how to add pictures from phone so need to use my laptop.

 

I gave her name Rose. She have some similarity with Kate Winslet from Titanic. And it fits her very well..

She poses very well. But heavy as all bjd sd dolls. I will need to blush her hands. Just to make her more natural.

 

@Anita2006 - I really love SJ's hands... I think that's one of the things I'm most looking forward to when I order my girl. I can't wait to manicure the long-nailed hands.

 

Yes I like hands as well. And faces is really different from iplehouse dolls. I love SJ dolls that I can say.

I'm trying to find a lovely strawberry blonde/red mohair wig for my in coming Vittoria, and I feel like there used to be a lot of wonderful wig makers and a lot of them have either left the hobby or stopped making wigs. My search continues haha
