Sartoria J Design Group - Part 2

Silvia-head looks good so far! She reminds me of another Mold ... Iple Carina? Well, hope to see her in all her glory soon!
And I really hope my Sienna will finally ship! Longest waiting time from SartoriaJ ever. But so far I didn´t see any Siennas here ... or maybe I am the only one who bought one ,)

 

I wish they would show a full profile shot of a new blank head... That's the only way to properly appreciate the nose.

 

That's exactly what I thought when I first laid eyes on Silvia. I love Carina and thought she looked crazy similar. Definitely in sister territory.

 

I had the same "familiar" feeling, but to me she looks similar to Rebecca (which is one of my favorite sculpts). I'm very curious to see what she'll look like with her face painted.

 

I really wish SartoriaJ would release side profile views of their sculpts. My small complaint about my SartoriaJ Yvonne was that her neck hole is so large it's visible on the side (from certain angles). It's not so bad to make me dislike the sculpt, but it certainly surprised me when I got her.

@Ashemanu Sienna is on my wishlist, but on the 45Aprodite. I'm thinking of snagging one if she becomes available again during an ordering period. I guess I should also prepare myself for a waiting time like yours!

 

Oh, on Instagram are pictures of her now with face up. Definitely not Carina Very glamorous ... I like her with the first face up ...which is really bad for my wallet and the little space left in my flat.

She is really stunning. I will ask Jay if she will be available as MSD too and in summer in the new fantasy color.

 

I like her, but I don't have plans for another whole new human girl at the moment. That being said, if they do release her in the summer event as an elf, I am definitely sold...

It's a bit pity about the current waiting times, because I have a headless body at home that I would like to have a SartoriaJ head on. It's a Soom ID68 body, and I already tested with my fog gray Sarah that SartoriaJ heads fit it neck size and proportion wise. I am going to buy a girl from Sartoria to get a head for the Soom body, but until my Vittoria order from December arrives, I have no certainty about resin match. I need that order to see if I need to order the head in Warm Ivory (to be blushed darker) or if Peach Cream by any chance matches this body. Until I have the December order, I'll have to pass on all their new releases no matter how nice they are, because I don't want to spend $700 to get a doll that ends up being the wrong colour.

 

From Iple side, Silvia has Vanessa or Rachel vibes to me, which I believe the faceup has an majeur impact. As for SJ, she looks like sister to Naomi hahaha I do really love how SJ show Silvia to us with 3 different skintone.

 

So I finally scraped of something to wear for my fog grey Dominic. He looks more intense than I remembered.

No Sienna for me anytime soon ... they had problems with the production line and had to organize everthing anew. So now her shipping date is end of May/beginning of June.

Silvia won´t be released as MSD this year, and also not in the fantasy color this summer. Only elves then, as last time.

I am a bit sad right now. Oh well, there are worse things than doll woes!

 

Hm, seems that chances that there will be something I need in the summer event just got a tiny bit slimmer then... I would really have loved a new elven face, pity!

 

@Ashemanu Oh I'm so sorry for this terrible news about your Sienna, but is this problem applied on their whole production line or some of them? I start to wonder if this will delay my Matias as well, since it's been 4 months I ordered him... I waited over 6 months for my SD Joshua and 5 months for my MSD SJ girls and I'm not really prepare for another long period like this...yes, I understand that the whole pandemic impacted them a lot but still, this is such a long waiting

Jay said this in the forum section regarding Espresso Brown skin:

" On other hand, we are also considering a totally different skin color like dark tanned skin. When we first released our doll, we have offered dark tanned skin called Espresso Brown but unfortunately had to discontinue it for several reasons. Since we are going to offer this special skin for limited time only, for 1~2 month, it will be great opportunity to offer skin colors which is hard to offer it regularly and this is why we are also considering difficult skin colors like dark tanned skins too."

I wonder if this will only be an option for summer limited or they are really planning to open a preorder for doll in Espresso Brown. Anyways, I wrote to Jay regarding the Espresso Brown and the post remains public, if anyone of you is interested in this skintone please also add your comment there!

Meanwhile, I'm also thinking on a purple-is gray skintone, so sad that only elves will be included...

For me it sounds as if more molds have been affected. At least the MSD production seems to be safe.

I would have loved Silvia as MSD or at least in the fantasy color. Now I hope that maybe Naomi will turn into an elf ...

 

Ashemanu, I agree it's a shame Silvia won't be MSD yet. Jenice as MSD would be so very tempting though, fingers crossed! As for fantasy colours, I am so annoyed with myself I didn't dive in to the Fog Greys . Every photo I have seen, they are exquisite

That sounds like an important review of the production line. I am waiting for Lobelia, so I feel your pain about Sienna Here's hoping they get back to a super-smooth processing process(!) again very soon.

Khlovera, yes to Espresso brown or darker. That'd be so great.

For the 61Aphs, has anyone used the SJ 12mm Real Eyes? If so, are they as good a fit as in the promo pics? I'm guessing they are acrylic not glass, and look so lovely and - well - real.

 

@LilyAndRuby The SartoriaJ 12mm real eyes are made of resin, made by Ornella and are similar/same as she posts on her Instagram page. I have bought the eyes both from her directly and from SJ, and she told me she makes the SJ ones after I wondered about the likeness. The 12mm eyes I have from Ornella directly fit perfectly. I have not tried the ones brought through SartoriaJ yet but they are the very same, minus some pupil size difference as I ordered my Ornellas with a small pupil. I personally find the 6mm iris a bit too large for the girls, and prefer 5mm on mine, but that's a matter of taste.

@LilyAndRuby My SJ ladies (Yvonne, Serena and Naomi) are using 12mm small iris resin eyes which I believe they fit very well on them,14mm small iris also works perfectly.

Just got confirmed by Jay that there's no plan on releasing Jun and Jenice into MSD size this year, only Matias. Well, I'm feeling regretted now on not ordering Jenice...
